Everything just lacked flavor. Got sesame chicken and peanut butter chicken and it felt like they forgot the sauce. It was just the fried chicken and that was it. Now the fried rice was good but not enough to save the meal. read more

Usually it's very good, but not today. I asked a question at the microphone and the girl talked so fast I couldn't understand her. I ordered my usual--szechuan chicken and an egg roll. I work I could post a picture of the eggroll! It was hot, but overcooked and falling apart. The szechuan chicken was twice as spicy as it usually was. I could not finish it. I am NOT happy! P.S. Their menu at the drive through is barely readable, and does not include prices! read more

I had to call the restaurant to report a issue with my order, which I asked for my chicken fried rice to come without eggs or vegetables, which I've done plenty of times with this company. However, the woman I spoke with said, "no, that next time you should call it in if you want a "special instruction", even though it is on the website that you can make special instructions,. The woman didn't apologize and yelled saying "There's nothing that I could do and it your fault for the meal coming the way it did." This woman was very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I definitely will not be giving them my business anymore. read more

JJ China - I just wanted it plain (chicken and rice only)....CLEARLY there's eggs and EVERYTHING else in the mix - Chinese Near Me - Omaha, Nebraska

Love JJ China!! We originally came across this restaurant years ago because we were trying to find a Chinese restaurant that was open on Sundays. I'm sure glad we found JJ China and tried them out. They have been our go to ever since! You can order online (and include special instructions), in the drive thru, or go inside. They are very reasonably priced. And the food is delicious!! I love their shrimp Mei fun, one of my kids loves their orange chicken, and my hubby and other kid loves their chicken fried rice. You can customize any dish, AND they are sensitive to my family's food allergies. They even made sure to tell me they do not make their egg rolls in house so they cannot guarantee no allergens with those. I very much appreciated that! We have never eaten inside the restaurant, but you sure can. It's a quaint space with pictures of the food. Highly recommend!! read more

Got take out here the other night... the rice was great, but the generalz chicken was over-fried and hard. It was my first time there and clearly my last. I couldn't believe how many people were in line there for overcooked food. Perhaps i was the only one that poorly cooked food. Not taking a chance again though. I threw most of the food away. read more

JJ China is my go to in West Omaha. The owner always recognizes me and is so friendly. I highly recommend the Szechuan Shrimp (or pork) and hot and sour soup! Their chow mei fun, sweet and sour shrimp, and lo mein are great as well. read more

Quite possibly the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Went at 1.30pm so there was no crowd. Server/I'm assuming owner, was not friendly and made it seem like we were bothering her. We both got a lunch special, served with a meal, and choice of 2 sides. I opted for Hunan beef with egg drop soup and a crab Rangoon. Soup was tasteless, like I imagine raw scrambled eggs would taste. Hunan beef was comparably horrible, again tasteless with a watery sauce, broccoli soggy, and meat had a weird rubbery texture. She never came back to check on us until the end. She asked if we wanted to go boxes, and I replied that I didn't like any of it. She seemed very unconcerned about that, and shrugged her shoulders. Aside from that, the water tasted like it'd been drawn from an old abandoned well, and apparently she was also running a daycare there, due to the children's play center, and the presence of 3 noisy kids. There was also a sign in the bathroom which I found VERY strange. I'm not sure how this place is even open. read more

Best peanut chicken in Omaha! Just be very clear on your directions because sometimes they miss items.

The hit and sour soup was fantastic. My kung pao chicken was the most bland Chinese food i ever have had. Plus.. i saw something disturbing that I'm not going to mention here. read more

Good food, very fast. Great people. Nothing fancy, but my daughter and I love it. The drive-through is super convenient, but we typically dine inside. read more

While distancing, we've been trying new places. I'm an Egg Foo Young fan, and it can be hard to find in general. Then, it can be hard to find it made well. I ordered it twice in the past week, w the shrimp option. The shrimp are HUGE and I loved the texture and flavor of the EFY each time. So happy I have a go-to option now. My husband order the YumYum Chicken which he thought was ok, but he really loved the General Tso - he'll be ordering that again soon! Each time we also thought the Crab Rangoons were very week made. We'll be back! read more

I've dined here both via DoorDash and drive-through. The food is pretty good and I never really had anything bad at times. Things are more bland than others but for the most part they have solid food choices I particularly like the fried wontons and most of the time I get triple delight. read more

She's okay. Not spectacular, but not bad in any way. Fried rice: 3.5/5 Sesame chicken: 3/5 read more

I like the convenience of them being a drive thru, however the entree food is gross. The shrimp egg rolls are good tho ...

I love my JJ China~ It's not the absolute best, but they hold their own, and deliver a great quick product . hot and sour is very good PB chicken, orange chicken, sesame chicken , friend rice combination- all very good. read more

Definitely the first place I think of when I want Chinese food! Great location, plenty of parking and IT HAS A DRIVE-THRU!!! You can order ahead of time for take-away or pull-up to the drive-through and order there. I usually order a lot, but regardless of the order - they ALWAYS get it correct, it's super quick and incredibly delicious every time! Personal favorites (it's really hard to choose) are: shrimp egg roll, shrimp with lobster sauce and happy family! read more

First we were stuck in the drive thru for 30 minutes. After 15 minutes of sitting at the window a woman came to the window and didn't know if we were driving thru or there to pick up an order. It definitely wasn't worth the wait. The sweet and sour chicken was decent but the Moo goo gai pan was disgusting. The chicken tasted like it had been microwaved more than once and had an extremely nasty flavor so we didn't eat any of the chicken just the veggies. My son had a horrible stomach ache and was up all night in the bathroom. Never again! read more

Been waiting in the drive through for 20+ minute now. 3 customers inside?!? Would NOT recommend, especially if you're in any kind of a time constraint. Would have just left but once you're in line you're trapped. read more

Poor service, felt like I was on Seinfeld "No!soup for you!!" I am on crusade to find the best lo mein in Omaha and so far this is the worst the worst I have ever eaten. It has a pungent smell to it. Chicken was over cooked and the beef had a bad taste. I will never eat at JJ China again. It is not good period. read more

Got Food poisoning had egg fu young fried rice and combo rice thought it was going to be worth the price but it was not

I ordered it, wish I hadn't. Sweet and Sour pork was like fried popcorn chicken nuggets and drier then the Sahara desert. Finding the beef in the Mongolian Beef was like a Where's Waldo book where every character is fried onions. read more

Tried it for the first time. Wasn't good. We would not recommend. Walnut chicken was not good we couldn't even eat it. Triple delight was all celery. We will not be back. Service left a lot to be desired. Food was fast but staff was not friendly. We felt that we were bothering them by even ordering. Very disappointed we would not recommend. read more

I get why people would like it for the convenience of their "drive through" but it's just cheap Chinese. Wasn't the worst. Quick service. But for another $5-$10 more elsewhere I get way better food. read more

I've had a hard time finding a good reliable place for Chinese, but JJ China has been a go-to choice since the first time I tried it. I love the portions and the price and their general tso's chicken! read more

Have gotten delivery from them before ( a lot). I enjoy everything I have ordered. Unfortunately, two orders ago, the sauce spilled all over the bag. Did not blame the restaurant. Probably the driver going to fast around a corner. The main reason I am posting again is that I can't tell you how much I enjoy the Hot and Sour soup. It's very spicy and great on a cold day. I even reheated it the next day and it was still good. Hope they don't change the recipe read more

This place is the definition of authentic Chinese! My two friends and I got food there the other day and dined in and I thought that it was very wholesome and comfortable. Yes, the children are watching TV on the other half of the dining room, but putting into perspective of the parents... i understand it, they weren't being obnoxious. paper plates and plastic ware aren't an issue, it's easier on them and it's not hurting the customers at all. i don't see the issue other reviewers have. The service was lovely as well! keep it up, guys! read more

I can't believe how many times I drove right by this place, never giving it a try. No longer! I am HOOKED on their JJ Walnut Shrimp, but also love the fresh creamy crab rangoon. We haven't had a bad entree, and appreciate the price point and convenience of the drive thru. The drive-thru is a bit tattered with the weird ripped up screen and all, it would be great if that could be tidied up as right now- that is the only impression of the inside that we have. read more

Love the Chow Mei Fun and Kung Pao Beef. Yum!! One of my favorite Chinese places in Omaha. I've been through the drive-thru many times. Aye inside once. Not a lot of places have the Chow Mei Fun and it is excellent. read more

Good food, inexpensive. What else do you want? I enjoy coming here for lunch. The $7.99 combo is more food that I can manage in one sitting. Soups are good, crab Rangoon is the best, spicy orders are Nebraska mild, so ask for more spice if you are so inclined. read more

Pretty poor. Food was very average but by dining in, it was an extremely poor experience. Plastic ware and paper plates? Come on! Half the dining for your child watching TV? Simply awful dining experience. With all the quality in the area, no need to return here. read more

The gal on the phone was very nice. I ordered a simple dish, combination fried rice. It was bland flavor and the meat texture was rubbery.

Got it Doordashed, the 7.99 combo is easily two meals, I got the fried dumplings which was a reasonable price add on, an egg roll and a crab Rangoon, with my Mongolian beef, fried rice. It was all delicious. I loved the crab Rangoon and fried dumplings. The beef was perfect. I wish for more! read more

Fast delivery! Huge portions, and fantastically cooked tofu! I suggest getting the tofu if you are vegan! It was cooked great! I thought the dish was a little to saucy, but I also didn't have any rice to soak it up cause the dishes were delivered with Fried Rice... Not vegan so if you want steamed rice you should definitely specify! But the meal was super big so I was not to bummed about it! Again very fast delivery and wonderfully cooked tofu.. Just a little less sauce and hook me up with steamed rice and we got a 4 star place! read more

i don't get this as often as i used to since i moved out of the city. it's about 45 minutes to get there. i probably get their chinese three or four times a year, and every time i get the same thing. peanut butter chicken. it's SO good. i highly recommend!!!! read more

We tried this Chinese place because I heard they delivered to my area. It was decent Chinese and huge portions. I ordered a small chicken fried rice and it was a huge container packed full for $5.25. The large lo main was in a even bigger container for $7ish. This is enough food for 3 or 4 meals. The crab ragoons come in a triangle shape but are good. The delivery was fast and accurate. Would order from again. read more

JJ China...more like Yay Yay China! AMIRIGHT?! It's so nice to finally have a good Chinese/Japanese joint near where I live. I heart Tokyo Kitchen, but that can be quite a drive for one who lives nearer to Gretna. JJ China has soooooooooooo many advantages. They're food is awesome, the food is prepared quickly, and the place is clean. Best of all, they have a drive-thru, so if I feel like being a real 'Murican too lazy to get out of my car and waddle the five feet from the parking lot, I can do so! I go here so often it's not even funny. I can honestly see my gut slowly increase as days go by... (I have yet to actually eat inside, but maybe I will someday. I love their Ipod dock.) Okay, the lo mein is my favorite. 4.99 for a small order, which is more than enough for a person. And, unlike most places, it's the same price rather you choose vegi, chicken, shrimp, pork, beef...or combo! The rest of the dishes I have had are yummy as well. Yum-yum chicken is, well...you know. The orange chicken is actually a bit spicy, which in itself is enough to make me a fan of the place. During lunch hours (from 11-3 everyday) you get a crab ragoon with every order. I give those to my wife since I don't like them, but she says they're good. The egg roll is the only weak point, in my opinion. They're decent, but a bit on the small side and not quite as 'savory' as some other restaurants' offerings. read more

The "Crispy" Chicken should be renamed Soggy Chicken because apparently you need to specify you want the sauce kept separate for the trip home in order for the chicken to be crispy. This was found out with a phone call once home to find a mushy mess. My suggestion to ask that question during the ordering was met with confusion. Common sense is apparently not part of the training curriculum. read more

Yep 5 Stars why you ask...I eat here almost every week! This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurant in Omaha. The owner always comes out and greats me, most of the staff knows me by name. Everything always comes to me hot, correct and delicious! FYI I get the General Chicken Combo with 2 egg rolls, they have great egg rolls here. read more

Ordered sesame chicken. It was a pink sauce. Weird. The meat I do not think was chicken. Bones and really gross. Sad to say I can not recommend. Fried rice the peas were shriveled and freezer burnt. The pic shows broccoli but did not have any in mine. read more

JJ China - Pic shows broccoli but none in my dish. Sauce was pink. Hard to tell in picture. - Chinese Near Me - Omaha, Nebraska

This place is not too obvious. When we've been here it's clean and quiet. The drive thru can be challenging cause there's so much to choose from. This is not fast food. It is priced very reasonable and cooked to perfection. It doesn't really matter what you choose..every thing is great. The crab Rangoon is spectacular. The portions are sized generously and the more you order...you get additional food items included. read more
