Oh my gosh this place is amazing! I get why their slogan is "Ohio's Best Kept Secret." It really is! To begin, this cute shop is located in the tiny town of Utica, Ohio about 40 miles NE of downtown Columbus. But if you are obsessed with coffee shops like I am (I tend to try a minimum of 3 a week) then this is well worth the drive. I came here about 30 minutes prior to closing and I'm glad I did. The shop is on the first floor of an old hotel which in itself is pretty cool. The coolest part though, is it's all 1920s themed! Each drink has a cool name that originated from slang or words used in that era! Now onto the drinks which I guess is the important part! Everything is homemade. Which to be honest, can be hard to find when it comes to a lot of coffee shops. Most places you go to now it seems, use mixes or old ideas that you can get anywhere. Not here though. The drink combos are some that I never heard of and I am sad I didn't before! I had the eggnog latte with almond milk and it was amazing. They can make any drink with any type of milk you want, they use quality ingredients, and it resulted in a drink that I would come back to get again and again. Now onto the sweets! They are fresh made from one of the owners and most, if not all, are gluten free. They have some sugar free things too! I'm not gluten free or sugar free, but I know quite a few people who are, and I know this can be pretty hard to find. So to find a place that looks out for that, that's pretty nice. Even showing up right before closing, I never felt like I had to leave or like I made anyone mad. Both owners were super nice to talk to and even told us about the history of the building and the town of Utica! Trust me, make the drive and come to this place. You won't be disappointed.

Omgosh it's been way too long since I've been here (3 weeks!!!). Each time gets better and better. May be back to my every day visits now that my broken ankle has recovered and mobile again lol This morning's wake me up - Salty Dog - SUPERB! Pumpkin spice cupcake for later. Def this "coffee shop" is where it's at!

I'd love to tell you just how amazing the lemon blueberry cake was and that I took so many pics that it took all the space on my phone. Truth be told that cake barely made it to the car. IT WAS INSANELY GOOD. It wasn't so sweet that it made your teeth itch and it certainly wasn't lacking flavor or blueberries. The caramel macchiato with half the sugar was great as well. If I could present and cons to what I had it would be it's a little pricey. For the slice of cake and 24 oz macchiato it was $10.46. A little pricey but when you can taste the quality of the ingredients how can you call that a con. Oh and they need a door in the back. Great customer service, very friendly staff, and they love to share the knowledge they have of coffee and sweets. A new reason to head to Utica lol.

Everything looked so good but we limited ourselves to one pastry each. Blueberry Gallete and Everything Danish were the winners. Great choices! The sugar sprinkles around the Blueberry Gallete put it over the top! There were so many blueberries you got a piece in every bite. The Everything Danish was good but was tad crisp. The chive cream cheese on top was so great I'm glad there was more than I would normally want. Drinks were good but took longer than we had hoped. There was only 1 barista but she was working hard with all the orders coming in. I enjoyed the latte art but sadly we got cold drinks. I enjoyed the offered seasonal flavors such as Gingerbread. I did notice that matcha was sitting in a carafe ready to go if someone was ready to order. Not sure how I feel about that as it can get clumpy waiting around. Seating can be a bit tough during peak hours. There are two communal type tables in the middle which are nice for larger groups. Outdoor patio seating as well but not on these colder winter days. Team was super friendly! Will come back again and actually enjoy a coffee and pastry there. Tip: Blueberry Gallete is soo flaky and buttery do not eat it in the car. lol. I got three huge flakes on my sweater as I took a bite. Well worth it.
