However, what honestly motivates me to write a review for her is that she is really awesome when she is taking care of animals and as a pet care professional. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and she has 2 dogs and 2 cats. When we first met, my dogs instantly took to her, and she was accepting of the my kittie's quirks. From the beginning she was willing to help me out with any care needs, stepping up and anticipating needs/care at times (no lover had done that before!) and early on was willing to do overnights when I had a last minute trip out of town. Fast forward, we moved in together, have 8 animals, and she does most of the care and calls it "easy." I complain at least half the time and I'm doing like an 1/8th of the child care. :) My previous dog walker (Fetching Fuzzy Faces, who I would also highly recommend) and I convinced her to go into pet care, and we were totally right. Being a pet care professional isn't only about loving playing with animals, it is also about being a great business owner and not all of my previous walkers were even good at this part! Patricia took the time to get to know both my dogs and understand their individual needs. She worked with them for a month before she played matchmaker with her staff and found the perfect walker, Jason, for my critters. They LOVED him from the first time they met him. He's a confident guy and can easily handle my boy who is still working on polite leash skills around strange dogs. And Jason is also gentle enough for my girl, who is usually terrified of strangers and cowers around men. After each walk, I get a text update along with a handwritten note about the day. I even get photos (attached to this review)! Jason not only walks them, picks up after them, and wipes their paws upon returning home, but he also plays fetch with them and makes sure they're happy and relaxed before he leaves. My pooch, Luka, goes with Rae on her Dog Park Adventures. Rae comes to our apartment and picks him up, takes him out for a few hours to an off leash dog park, and then returns him home. Rae is consistent, always shows up and does what she says she is going to do. She is extremely flexible, allowing for wiggle-room in your schedule if needed, and will always ensure coverage with one of her other walkers if she is unavailable for whatever reason. The pricing is fair, very comparable to other similar businesses. Rae goes above and beyond and even teaches Luka new commands, practices his old ones, and works through any behaviour issues that might arise both in the car (which causes him some anxiety) as well as at the park. Luka has learned to listen better through spending time with Rae, which has improved his behaviour at home in general as well. Rae even has a very active Instagram/Facebook account, which is incredibly thoughtful and brings me peace since I get to see a smiling, waging, running, playing, jumping picture or video of Luka everyday he goes out with Rae. To top it off, they go to the park rain or shine, and Rae always ensures Luka is wiped down well and that our bedroom doors are clicked shut to save our bedding from doggy smell. It's the little things that truly make Rae exceptional at her job, and Ruff Mutts the only place I will go for our dog walking needs. Most of all, Luka LOVES Rae. She has a special nickname for him, which, if you say out loud, will get his tail wagging so hard he loses balance. "Rae Today!" used to mean little to him, but now he knows it means he gets to go on an adventure with his friends. It has improved his quality of life, and allowed me to take a breath in between my many commitments. I would recommend Rae to my best friend, my mother, and a stranger on the street-- if you haven't had the joy of curling up with your pooch after a DPA day, you're missing out on the best cuddles!

In November 2012, Beau (a pitbull/boxer rescue) had failed three dog daycare evaluations. Unfortunately, he has a lot of energy and it made the options to keep him socialized and entertained while I was at work during the day pretty bleak. I set up a consultation with Tricia and all of the worries I had went away; she is extremely knowledgeable about dog behavior and body language. She then took Beau for a walk around the neighborhood to evaluate his behavior and shortly after that they were running 5 miles twice a week. She started out just running Beau by himself, but now five months later, he is running with his own little pack of 3 to 4 dogs and absolutely loves it!
