Michelle has walked our fur baby Buddy for just about a year and we couldn't be happier! She is attentive, flexible, and has been very understanding when my boyfriends schedule changes last minute. Buddy absolutely loves Michelle and he is very excited when she comes to the door to pick him up! I cannot recommend K9pdx enough. Darrin has been walking my dog Stella for the better part of a year now, and she loves him. I mean, just absolutely adores him. And my dog doesn't really take to many people that way. My husband and I moved to Portland about a year ago and we both had full-time jobs to go to. We had a lot of recent major changes in our life at that point. We had gotten married the month before and we were still getting used to our new pack member Tesla. Tesla is a miniature pinscher who we think is about 4 years old. He's cheerful, loving, energetic and very curious. We were both concerned about him being stuck in our apartment for 9 hours a day Monday through Friday. I found Michelle on Yelp and did not have to look back. When we started off it was immediately apparent that she has a lot of great experience with dogs and also with their humans. It was very quick and easy to get started with her. She's a great communicator. There were a few times that I needed to update her on changes to our schedule and she responded quickly with understanding. Our arrangement with Michelle was for her to come over to our apartment mid-afternoon Monday - Friday to give our dog a half hour walk. I felt safe and happy with Michelle taking care of our dog during his walks with her. That's a big deal to both me and my husband as our dog is a very important part of our lives. We will sincerely miss her walks. We hope we can work with her again at some point. read more

From a financial standpoint, they are affordable, reliable, and consistent. They offer multiple forms of payment and give you plenty of time before the bill is due to pay them. They are incredibly timely with their communication and are available to talk via text or email. One of my favorite things about Michelle is that she texts us every time after she leaves Lola and gives us a mini report on how she did. Not to mention, she is incredibly flexible and is willing to add/drop days per week depending on our schedule. They we're so accommodating with last minute saturday walks or late walks on certain day due to our crazy work schedule. Loved having k9pdx watching over my dogs. I moved here with two elderly dogs and was totally confident that they were cared for when I left for the day. I had to send one of them to doggie heaven during this time and it was so sweet and moving that darrin took time out of his busy day to come say goodbye. k9pdx has had my business a little less than a year now and i look forward to continuing to use michelle and darin! i have found them to be extremely trustworthy, but even more impressive - have been flexible about schedule changes (for example, i texted michelle today about a walk tomorrow (saturday) and she was able to). on top of that, i found myself with a broken shoulder and was unable to take care of my dog, who weighs about 65 lbs. i had him boarding at my favorite place (sniff) but it was not sustainable for me financially or him mentally. michelle came to the rescue - her good friend kelli, who just happened to have subbed for michelle before and just happened to be in town, was willing to take my dog down to her home in the southern part of the state. i got regular updates and each one made me feel like i was being a jerk for taking him back as he had a perfect life there! now that he's back and michelle is walking him again, i am just reminded of how lucky i was to have found k9pdx, especially as i had recently moved here and went with yelp reviews to make a decision. two paws up and two thumbs up for k9pdx! read more
