Great Service! I needed a Tow on A Sunday morning and called around. I needed a 2 mile Tow and the price here at Jim's was very reasonable. Some places were 3 or 4 times more than Jim's. Be sure to check around. Jack was the Tow Operator today, the Truck was newer and in great condition- Squared Away. So, I tried to get my car towed from a public storage to my house on Monday. I called a different company and was told 30-45 minute wait. They never showed. After 2 hours, I called them to cancel. They argued with me like it was my fault, and said they will still charge me a cancellation fee. So, Friday I finally had time to get the car towed again. After last experience, I was dreading dealing with another towing company, but i didnt want to pay for another month for storage unit. My wife works with someone who recommended Jims Towing. I set up to meet the driver at 10:45. Todd got there 15 minutes early, and could not have been more pleasant and professional. When we were done, the driver billed me for the same amount they quoted me on the phone. Whoever I talked to in the office was really nice and polite. I don't normally write reviews, but if it can help someone, I'm glad to write it. If you need a tow, just call Jims. I can't say enough about how positive this experience was. read more

Best customer service ever! After several calls, and being treated with utter disrespect by other companies, someone recommended Jim's. Jack was the NICEST most helpful and efficient tow truck driver. I had a moving truck loaded with a customer's belongings break down in Berwyn. He was there within the hour, charged even less than what he initially estimated, and took extra care to ensure the safety of my shipment on the truck. Incredible service! Our landscape company had a heavy duty equipment failure with a machine we use for snow removal. It was a bad snow day and I had a slow leaking flat tire. It was a quick fix, swapping the bad tire with a spare, and the car was at home in our garage. I told them there was no rush, because I knew they would have more urgent customer needs and I was comfortable and safe at home. Even with the bad weather they took less than two hours and swapped the tire out and gave a few recommendations on places to go get a new tire. While I don't want to have to need them again, I'll call if I do and I'd definitely recommend them to others. read more

Jims just towed one of my work trucks off the highway in rush hour traffic and charged by the mile to bring it back to my warehouse.I have a GPS and expected some dispute on the miles charged. I was pleased to find they charged exactly what was expected. My gut feeling is this is a good company based on the initial phone call and my meeting and interaction with the driver. I do own a service business and was watching for the pitfalls made by service companies and they displayed none of them. read more

I've had two different occasions of working with these folks, once by choice and once by accident. They did the job both times with safety of the car in mind however I was neither over impressed with their customer service. I had two different drivers. Neither one was very personable. Trucks were decent condition but not the pride of the fleet. I guess I could go either way here with them. Not the worst but I'm sure there is better out there. read more

my elderly mother was involved in an accident. her car was engaged with the other vehicle and Jim's men couldn't get the vehicles apart. After more than 3 hours Jim's left but still charged my mom $225.00. The following day they contacted my mom and refunded her money! What a nightmare this place is. My car overheats on I 290 on a 10 degree night. The state police has Jim's Towing yank the car without warning. When I go pick up the car from Jim's Towing, it has a left flat tire that was not flat when the car broke down, and there is a puncture in the driver's side quarter panel that was not there. A puncture, not a dent! I pay them $205 and the car won't start, so I ask if they can drop it of to the auto mechanic next door to them and they say it will cost $95 to drop it next door. I ask if they are going to have to hook up the car anyway to pull it out of the storage area anyway and they say yes they will. So I have already paid them $205 for the tow that I did not request and they have to hook up the car to bring it out and drop it onto the street, but they won't go 100 feet further and drop it at the auto mechanic. Total thieves. Don't go near this crooked place. read more
