Septic was pumped and I paid them in cash. Lo and behold about 5 weeks later I received an e-mail saying I still owed them money. I explained to the lady that I had paid in cash and I also had it recorded via my Ring camera. By her tone of voice, my explanation wasn't well received and seemed to be a lie to her, when, in fact it was 100% truthful. She said she would talk to her employee and after not hearing from her after a week, I called back and she said it had been figured out. I told her a phone call would have been nice, but she said that the employee had just returned from vacation, I'm not completely sold with that explanation. I don't believe that she was going to call me back as, maybe, she was a little embarrassed about the situation. I also asked for her to send me a receipt showing that it had been paid, but still waiting on that. I, personally, would never ever use their service again as, it appears, that they can't be trusted to be paid in cash. read more

I bought a new home and they did the inspection for $550. They said the septic was good, two months later it's backing up into my house. They came out and emptied it. Charging me $550 again. Then telling me I had a bad baffle. I asked them if they missed this in the Inspection "no it was good, we looked at it". It was then dug up and inspected, it was not "good" the baffle was so packed full of 36 yrs of unpumped backup from the previous owner that the baffle was completely packed like concrete and nothing was flowing through that! No wonder it backed up into my house, so to say it "was good" two months earlier was complete BS. Would not say they did anything wrong, would not compensate us for the terrible inspection or having to repump it two months later which was their fault!!!!! Did not have them do the repairs because I do not trust this company as far and I can throw them and neither should you! read more

Jim's Septic Service - Septic Services Near Me - Merlin, Oregon

Run do not walk in the other direction. Their bid was outrageous, and I had the repair done for less than half what they quoted me for the job. Apparently they are under new ownership. read more

Update to my previous review a couple weeks ago. As I conveyed, Jim left us hanging. He cut a float, disassembled the hookup. The alarm was not working. We accepted his bid, he gave us an appointment. But he was a no show. Did not respond to texts or calls. He finally left a message saying he had been Ill. Meanwhile we got another service in and got it repaired for more than 2/3 less than his bid. But the main issue was: HE TURNED OFF THE PUMP, unbeknown to us. The pump was never broken.... That wasn't the issue....Luckily the repair company who fixed it arrived just in time.....because it was about to overflow. I have nothing good to say. read more

We called Jim's for quote for 2 septic tanks. When they came out and checked the smaller tank, he said it did not need to be pumped. He could have easily pumped what was there and charged us, he didn't. He pumped our main tank and left us with information on taking care of a septic. Highly recommend just for his integrity. read more

Thank God for Jim's Septic Service and the front line staff who come out to do the very... demanding work...of pumping septic tanks. These kind of hard workers are unsung heroes. Without them life would be very messy! Needless to say they did a great job...in over 100 degree weather, at a reasonable cost. Lots of useful information and recommendations to keep our system running smoothly. Thanks guys! You're the best! read more

We called Jim's to pump out our septic tank. They gave us a quote over the phone and scheduled us for about a week out. They showed up on time, were friendly, and professional. They gave us a list of products that shouldn't be used with a septic system and made recommendations for keeping our system in top shape. We were also able to get set up on their reminder system so we don't have to keep track of when our tank needs to be pumped. We will definitely recommend them to others. Thank you. read more

all I can say is we were in a horrible situation, are guest house plumbing was backing up which is tied in with the main house's septic tank... anyway Jim's guy David found our trouble and got us back on line very quickly and didn't rape us in the process.... he showed us and explained very thoroughly what and why this happened and showed us things we didn't know about our system that we needed to know... this is the second time we've used Jim's septic service and both times they have treated us great and very fast... we called other places because it was a weekend and when they got back to us two weeks before any one else could come out... very very pleased! read more

I had an appointment with Jims' to have my septic pumped this morning. They were to be here between 8:00 and 10:00. At 10:05 and no one had showed I called. Got an answering machine,. Left message. At 10:30 called again , got answering machine. Then found cell # and called. A person said, Oh I am out of town. Is this a 1 person operation? Would not recomend this company. read more

It is pretty hard to get excited about your septic tank but a good job needs to be recognized. They were here when scheduled and did the job without making a mess. It was a hot and smoky day but it got done in a timely manor. This is my third time to use Jim's. read more

These guys and gals do a great job. Period. It's nasty work at best, but they are all cheerful, arrive at their appointed time, and get the job done. What more can you ask of a company? They do it right, and their prices, while they might seem a bit pricey, they have to use big trucks, and haul their "treasures" all the way to Murphy. We are sure glad they are here. read more

This company is the best! Debbie and Jim go above and beyond good service. Debbie always tries her best to get a truck and people there as soon as possible. We have dealt with them since 2016. We need to get our tank pumped once a year and sometimes twice. Because of surgery we have had and a bad angle on an inlet pipe things don't work as they should. We have spent way too much money on rooter services that never worked, until Jim's came and explained the issues. Now everything works great. All the drivers/pumpers are really nice. read more

Wow, I was really impressed with the service I received today. So much in fact, that I felt compelled to try to write a review some place! Thanks to Josh and his partner for the truly professional service today. They went above and beyond, and we sure did appreciate it. Great work! read more

Used Jim's 7 years ago and they did a great job then. I recently called them and they wanted an extra $125 to remove the dirt over my septic cover. So I told them to forget and I would get someone else. BTW, I uncovered my cover is less than an hour. I don't think manual labor rate should be $125 per hour. read more

jims septic inspected my septic before I bought my property and also cleaned it , between last October 2016 and may 2017 septic filled up with rain water. I have never had a septic before and did not understand that this could happen so I was under the impression tank was never cleaned. I called angry and Debbie was 100% sure that they would never have charged me for something and not do the work. So they went back out asap on Monday and of course it was only rain water and I made a fool of myself. They get 5 STARS for putting up with me and because they were out quick and were willing to make it right. Deb is great and sweet and I apologize for assuming. thanks Paul K. read more

I have used Jims Septic Service for my clients and also my personal tank, great guys and on time

Do not hesitate to call this business. Professional, responsive and courteous. I have an old system and it had built up a clog in the overflow pipe (where one tank flows into the other before it leeches out) someone with less experience or concern could have just pumped what was there, taken my money and in time I would have had the same back up. They snaked the clog, fixing the problem, drained the tanks and explained everything to me. Extremely pleased. 5 star service. One of the other reviews said they might charge a little more, I found them comparable in price. Kudos to Debbie at the office who also was great to deal with when I called them in my stressed out state, and reworked the schedule to deal with my problem. read more

We just move here in April and purchased a house, I have had them out here 2 times and they have raised there prices, but they arrive at the appointed time, complete the job, courteous. read more
