    JIM'S 2630 NE Interstate 410

Great service. Friendly staff. Food was good. But the building needs a deep cleaning for starters, and a complete restoration is long long overdue. The parking lot is in need of repair and cleanup. I will not return to this location, as it is in very poor condition. It's very clear the franchisee or owner couldn't care less and/or refuses to TAKE CARE of the business. Make it make sense. ‍

    Juicy mushroom Swiss burger

We mainly went to Jim's for their onion rings so my friend could try them for the first time. I've loved them for decades. The restaurant was busy but it wasn't overly crowded and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves with some eating breakfast and some having lunch. It was like being in an old fashioned diner. The onion rings (or onion strings) were just as good and delicious as they always were. Some people might think they're too greasy but I think they're Great. We each got a mushroom Swiss burger which was very very good.... tasty sautéed mushrooms, a thick burger patty with grill marks, lettuce and tomato, and kind of sloppy which was really great. I hate a dry burger. The French fries were crispy and delivered piping hot so that I had to wait a bit for them to cool so I could chew them. If you go here, be prepared to wait for your meal. This isn't fast food... but it sure is worth the wait! I'll be eating there again SOON.

Okay, back in the early 1980s I used to go to this Jims. We lived at one of the apartment complexes just up the street on the 410. Well on a recent trip to San Antonio, I decided to try it again with a to-go order. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries. While the food was fine -- exactly what I expected and remembered. The condition of this Jim's is sorely lacking. The restaurant smells bad, like really bad, like old frying oil. It needs some upkeep and it's probably time to redo the entire interior. I went to the bathroom which is in total need of a good cleaning and replacement of the sink. It's full of graffiti and smelled horrible. The service was fine, but it wasn't busy in the restaurant. They didn't mess up on my order and the waitress made sure that I had plenty of ketchup, salt, and eating utensils. Regarding social distancing, the staff was masked up, they required masks to enter, and every other table was blocked off for social distancing.

Shall we hit the gym or hit the Jim's

I've used a lot of Jim's in my day, usually the YMCA, but this was a new one for me. This is a local diner chain which makes pretty decent food, especially if you know what to order. If you order the wrong thing, it can go badly, and service can be hit-or-miss, but prices are affordable and I love especially that it's open 24 hours. So I give this place four stars because of the added bonus of it being available at 3 or 4 in the morning which is the time I'm often looking for a decent meal.

Sad. I was hungry so ate my fries and most of my chicken club sandwich but couldn't eat the burned bread. Nice enough waiter.

Chicken fried chicken with French fries, Mac & cheese, and Texas toast! Hit the spot for late night munchies. Service was great and the ambience was classic Jim's.

The list of times that I called and did not receive a response.

I called at 8:19 PM and no one answered; I was going to order to go, like I have done at least 5 times this month. Not answering the phone isn't unusual; if I call before a certain time, or a certain manager is there, someone will pickup. I called 5 times while I was home and 2 times while in the restaurant. I asked the two ladies at the front if they know what is wrong with the phone; they said they did not and continue to do business. I looked over the counter and the phone was off; there was not anything on the display screen. I asked one lady if I can have the owners' information and she said she had to get her manager. The customer in front of me, also ordering to go, walks back to his car. After he walked out, one of the ladies locks the door; it is about 9:20 PM. I told the lady that locked the door that it was illegal to lock customers in a business during the operating hours. She began to state what time the kitchen closes, I interrupted and told her that the restaurant does not close until 10 PM and that's in 40 minutes. She continues to walk towards the kitchen. I stated two practices they were doing to drive customers away. I reminded the other hostess that I requested the owners' info. I'm standing at the cash register when this lady steps into the kitchen and yells, "Kevin, this lady is bitching about something and wants to speak to you." I asked her who was bitching; she just looked at me. I told her that I was not bitching, I asked her several times for the owners' info and she did not have any business working in a restaurant or any customer service job if she was going to speak about customers in the fashion she did while the customer is present. A few more words were exchanged and the manager comes out. I told him how many times I called, how this unanswered calls have happened before, the locking of the business during its operating hours, and of the employees stating that I was bitching. He wrote the number to Frontier Enterprises down; which he stated was the corporation that owns Jim's. When he handed me the paper, I asked for his name. He said Travis; I told him that the employee just called him Kevin and he just stares at me. As previously stated, I have visited this restaurant, at least twice a week (for the month of November), and this is not anywhere near the service my family used to receive when I was a child and we ate at this location. Jim's Restaurants need to do better if they want to ensure their customers are satisfied.

    Dirty ass ceilings.
    Mike B.

Although we love Jim's and their food, this location is the worst Ive ever seen. Dust all over everything, vents lights ceiling, just friggin dirty. Then while waiting to get our food a German Cockroach runs across our table.... Just completely and utterly unacceptable. This location needs a call from the health department for sure. I'm not even sure how they are still open looking like this.

After being seated and going over the menu, I start off with a Chai tea latter along with the cinnamon croissant, fall pear coffee cake, and biscuit basket to share with the table. The chai tea latte was made just right and the cinnamon croissant just melted in my mouth...yummy. The coffee cake and biscuits were also very tasty and very pleasing. For my main course, I order Ruvin's Breakfast. The plate comes with potato wedges, scrambled cheese eggs, barbacoa and beans. The barbacoa was nice tender and juicy while the beans were well seasoned. The potato wedges were thick, crispy and moist on the inside. Overall, I really enjoyed coming in to try Full Goods Diner. It was disappointing to hear that they will close at the end of the year (12/31/25). If you can, try them before the close for good.

It was popping when we got there, so we had about a 25 minute wait. It took them a little while to take our order, but once they did, the food was made and delivered in a timely manner. I, of course, got the cinnamon roll pancakes short stack, and they were absolutely divine. No need for butter or syrup, they were perfectly delicious as is, cinnamon swirl included?!? and icing glaze as well. Another favorite was the chile relleno omelette - the poblano pepper on top added some smokiness along with the steak, and the sour cream and cheese cooled it down. Bacon and canadian bacon on point.
