Sloppy,men wiped sealer on my lawn, got sealer in the street. Sloppy line at end of driveway.

They came on time. Finished the driveway in a very short time. Left the place very clean.

Right from the start there were problems. No one comes to your home to look at your driveway to discuss what needs to be done. I had a paving stone skirt at the end of my driveway that was destroyed when their truck drove over it. Yes, they did fixed / replaced it but it was a hassle. They put down the new driveway. Now when it rains , water flows under my garage door. There are a few other details that need to be addressed in this on going situation . read more

We found out about Jim's Driveway Sealing from a neighbor who was very satisfied with the work they did, so we gave them a call to take a look at some prominent driveway cracks we had. They showed up promptly for the appointment and gave our 2000 square foot driveway a thorough look over. The quote they gave us was very fair and they said they could do the work within 1 or 2 business days, which was faster than any competitor. I liked the style of the estimator, who seemed to be a straight shooter. I appreciated that he didn't try to upsell us on unnecessary services like other companies tried to do. In fact, I told him that a local competitor tried to convince me the best thing for me to do for my driveway cracks was to rip up the old driveway and start fresh with an entirely new one that they could install. But Jim dismissed the idea out of hand and told me the driveway would look amazing and almost brand new with a simple sealcoating and some crackfill treatment here and there. And it did! I was very happy with the service they did and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to spruce up their driveway. read more

We have tried them twice and both times, we were extremely disappointed. They left marks all over the driveway and had nothing but excuses. The owner sent a 'Manager' out to look at our issues and was a scary nasty totally unprofessional guy. We had to threaten to call the police if he did not leave. Don't even bother calling!! This company has the absolute worst customer service. When I called to get my driveway sealed they told me there was a 4 to 6 week wait. After 6 weeks I called back to ask when it was going to happen. I was told "very soon" I asked, if I needed to worry and inquire somewhere else? "No, it will happen very soon, we'll definitely get to you." When I called back 3 weeks later they told me that they were no longer sealing for the season. Sorry, out of our control. They said they were eventually going to call me to let me know, sure. Don't waste you time. read more

I called for an estimate and was told that Jim would come by and leave the estimate in the mailbox within a week. A week passed and I called to follow up on the estimate and told three more days. It's been a almost a week since that conversation and now they say by the end of the week. If it takes two weeks to get the estimate I wonder how long it would take to do the job?? So, if you like waiting for everything then look no further. read more

We had our driveway sealed several weeks ago by Jim's. Since then we've had several scuffs and divots in that sealing. We waited plenty of time before we allowed any vehicles on the driveway. The driveway was much better before the sealing. We've tried to contact Jim's several times about the problem with zero response. Please don't get your driveway sealed by Jim's. Knowing how inconvient it can be to have the driveway sealed especially in White Plains, NY where you can't park on the street overnight I scheduled an appointment when we were out of town. We returned home to the driveway sealed and cured while we were away. We rolled right in to unpacked. Looks great, Jim's is reliable as this is the third time we have used them. Very rude customer service! I have a new driveway with pavers on both sides.. One side is even with the blacktop when I questioned the woman on the phone about my concerns on the sealer getting on them she got very defensive. I asked her how it is done- again she got rude and stated up to the concert.. Humm there is no concert on that side so I requested someone to come by and explain to me how it's applied.. She said no Jim will come by and drop an estimate off in my mailbox.. Moving on there are plenty of driveway sealers out there!! read more

Jim's Driveway Sealing did an excellent job on my (residential) driveway this past spring. My driveway is on a slight incline and meets the road at a 90 degree angle, as do most driveways, I suppose, but our house is on a hill, and over the years, water running down to the Croton River and regular town plowing have eroded more and more of the end of our driveway until we had a drop of almost a foot to the main road, which meant a terrific bump going in and out, (the dogs fell over every single time we pulled out of the driveway) and many cars scraping bottom as they exited. I never met anyone from Jim's - we did this all online/over the phone. They came, surveyed the problem, gave me an estimate and then we set a date for the work to be done. They came on the agreed upon date, dug out the driveway back about 4 feet, filled and leveled it, paved over the area and it is now absolutely smooth and level. We are delighted. Neighbors came over, inspected and approved. Both have since called Jim's for estimates. I will have my driveway resealed by them this month, my next door neighbor already did. Everyone is more than satisfied. No mess, no problems, no complaints. Good price. Good service. They did what they said they'd do. I'll repost after the driveway is resurfaced. read more

I Give them two stars because our initial service from them was great. They completely redid our driveway last year and seemed to do a beautiful job. This spring we had a truck come up our driveway and it left big dents. Jims paving had someone who came out and said it needed to be fixed. Then the nightmare started. I called and talked to Maria and I told her the one day we could NOT have it done because we are trying to sell our house and had a broker open house. Of course that was the day she scheduled it. Then it became a habit of me calling and leaving messages 6 to 8 days in a row before Maria would answer and ask me to remind her who I was. This went on for at least a month! We FINALLY got our driveway fixed. Who knows how it will last. I will NEVER recommend Jims paving due to Maria's surly attitude and customer service. read more

Is the worst company to deal with did a patio around my pool and my driveway which they destroyed doing pool work charged me a lot of money for driveway which they caused problems and after 6- months driveway is worse then when they paved it and don't get me started about MARIA !!! do your self a favor don't hire!! read more

I was scheduled for a Thursday but due to a weather issue they canceled. They rescheduled me for Saturday which wasn't ideal for me. I asked for Friday but the manager(woman) said "we can't do friday but you could always cancel and have it done next spring " Terrible customer service. I politely asked if I could be scheduled early Saturday which is the only time frame that would work for me. The crew arrived at 530pm . I think the manager purposely scheduled me last. I canceled because it was going to rain early on sunday. I understand weather issues in this business but I dont understand being rude to your customers. I'm not the only customer to identify this manager as being rude. She called me back on monday and I asked to speak to the owner but I never received a call. I just wanted to inform the owner about the inconsiderate wench handling his business.She will answer this response by saying she wasn't rude. This is the third time I have spoken to this manager and each time she had an attitude. Plenty of driveway sealers around- avoid this one read more

never use jims driveway sealing. people use them because they see them around and may be cheaper. but they are awful first of all they never seal the most impiortant part of the driveway which is the end and sides of the driveway. if you have belgiu block or another border around the driveway, they will not seal to the border leaving your driveway at risk and i told them i wanted them to seal the entire driveway. they did not. i called back over 10 times asking "liam" to follow up as promised to fix the driveway. he never returned my calls and never came back they may be somewhat cheaper but they are awful and unreliable and do not do a proper job with sealing. read more

Price was reasonable and contract looked okay so I went with them. They seemed to do a decent job of course I will only know how it holds up as time goes by. I wanted to be home when they did the job but they were available on a day which I wasn't able to be there and I would have to wait days or even weeks for another day so I went ahead and scheduled it ( lesson learned always be there when having something like this done.) My biggest issue was with them not paving a small section on the driveway entrance that was about 10'x10' and thinking it was fine to leave like that. When I contacted them they said they would look into it I sent pictures and said how would you feel if you paid all this money and feel like the job was incomplete and didn't look right, It actually made no sense to leave that little section not done. Besides aesthetics the edge of the asphalt connecting to the main road would be run over every time possibly causing problems in the future. I was then told that this small section wasn't part of the agreement and that I would have to pay an extra 500 to get it done. I tried to see if they would go down and they told me no. I've dealt with a lot of contractors and never found anyone to be this unreasonable. I asked if they thought the driveway looked complete as it was and even if made any sense for that area not to have been done the first time around and they agreed with me but wouldn't go down on the price. I felt I had no choice so I went ahead and did it, They came and finished the job in less than an hour. After the job was completed I asked their office for an invoice showing I had paid them in full , they responded telling me that they don't give out invoices and contract they had sent me for me to sign was sufficient ( the contract was signed by me but not by the other party involved so therefore not a binding contract, so it really isn't sufficient.) I don't understand why they would deny me something so simple, sounds pretty shady .... Like I said I hope the work they did was good enough and will hold up but only time will tell. As far as customer service for them to make me pay for something that should've been done the first time around is ridiculous. I would not hire them again or recommend them to anyone I know, As soon as they finished I took that company sign they had posted in front of my property and threw it out. After all the times dealing with contractors this is the first bad review I have ever wrote and as a business owner I would never deal with a situation the way they did, at the end of the day you end up loosing way more than the $500 extra they charged me. I had them seal my new 8 month old driveway. The coverage of the sealer was not covering the whole driveway, areas of the the blacktop was never coated. So many areas not coated and they left it that way, roped off the driveway and called it done. I wish I had been home!!!!! I called them the very same day and complained asking for someone to come back out to look at the driveway and was told that it would be at least 4 days. The sealer also was splashed on my two NEW garage doors. The whole driveway should get recoated properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
