Lisa Barbaro from grand plans was the first designer to respond to my request for information. We agreed in advance to a price for the design plan should I proceed work with her design. This was very fair. As a consultant myself, I actually suggested she charge a bit more for her service. I was impressed that she offered to visit my property so she could see firsthand the light, the soil, etc..Lisa was on time and prepared with a survey of my lot. She did not charge for this consultation, which I found to be a good first step. She spent a sufficient amount of time at my home, asking questions and gaining insight about me and my ideas and preferences. We agreed that she would provide me with a written plan for concept, a digital 2D plan and revision(s), plant lists, and care guidelines for phase one of my multi phase project. NEXT STEP- waiting for the schematic plan. Depending upon the anticipated cost vs my budget, I may proceed to implementing the project using Grand Plans or as a DYI. Therefore, I am stuck with a garden that doesn't flower until the end of the summer, except for a couple of hydrangeas. I called them 3 times for this year, beginning in May. I only get an answering machine and NOBODY has returned my calls. My small garden cost about $5000 and I was willing to pay them again to swap out the plants for something more colorful. Very disappointed. They are non responsive. I speculate that they do not want to bother with such a small project.

We've had our insert for a couple years, I wanted to use it for a while before leaving a review. We…read moredo like our.stove, but I would recommend shopping with a different company. We used them for installation and that was fine. the issues we had were the unit they sold us was too small for the opening so we noticed a gap after it was installed. It's on me that I didn't double-check the measurements but its also why I bought from someone who specialties in this. Then, when I called them about a fix, their first option was to charge me for a piece to cover the gap. Final issue post-install is the window developed small crack. I called them for warranty service and their response was again to offer options where I have to pay. They eventually agreed to call the manufacturer for eh warranty but it was like pulling teeth. I followed up after a couple weeks and again got an unenthusiastic response and no information. That was about 6 months ago and I've given up on them.
