I've been coming to this deli since high school. I won't date myself but thats a long time ago. Others in the area have tried but they failed. John remembers names, orders, and the staff is always welcoming. My sandwiches are always massively packed and the prices are just right. Even if I don't want food I'll stop in to get coffee. I have no idea what coffee they use but it's right up there for any coffee addict. (Get the Manhattan hero and thank me later)

Ladies and Gentlemen what we have here is a Hero that lives up to it's name! The Ultimate!: Toasted Garlic Hero bread, A generous portion of Bacon, Cole Slaw, Russian Dressing, Ham Turkey, Cheddar, and love.

From the road it seems like a simple deli, but "Jim's Deli" has a lot of history between those four walls. Heading there was a treat, a lot of open space and beautiful scenery I enjoy driving past the lake where you can rent Canoes. Once at the deli, they offered plenty of parking for its size. It was busy there, that was surprising, because it's a bit out of the way. I see the locals must really support this business. That's understandable, because it's been there since 1957! It only has 3 owners, and the staff is super friendly. Inside seemed a bit dated, it definitely would be a candidate for renovations and seating, because it was cold and i wanted to sit and eat. The two at the counter, a gentleman and lady, were the best. They joked and seemed interested in talking about the history of the deli. The lady offered us a free orange juice with our meal. Once the food came out they gave plenty of napkins and we scurried to my car. Looking at the food I was amazed with how well it was put together, the wrap could have been bigger, but it would do. After eating it I saw why they had so much local support. It was good. I liked it. They could have added more cheese, but it was still worth it. With the history and friendly service "Jim's Deli" offers, I hope there here for years to come.

One of the best sandwiches around and I love their potato salad!

What a gem. Another great reason to live between Patchogue Village and Bellport Village. When I…read morebought my home 28 years ago, I was introduced to the shop and been coming back ever since. Neighbors called it "Utter Delight", sign says "Dunton Corner Deli"-- (it is not a Beer & Beverage Center) -- to me it will always be "The Drive-Up Deli". The food is very, very good. Special orders don't upset them. The prices are in line with what the neighborhood can handle. Great Deli sandwiches at better than Deli prices. The convenience of fast food, but the quality of home cooked, when you choose. When I run short of one or two items-- I gladly pay more-- rather than drive back to Main Street, IGA, or -- hell no, 7-11. I always try to remember to leave my coin change or a dollar, for the staff. They are making and bringing me my food-- not a machine on a belt under heat lamps. Yes minimum wage has gone up, but so have all our costs. In all these years, I have watched teenage staff grow up, graduate, a couple go to college-- all while standing in that sliding glass doorway. I have no idea who owns the store, there may have been multiple owners. I love the addition of the Irish food products-- please add a list to your website. I know the staff by their smiling faces. Hardly ever remember names. Had I been asked to write this, I would not have done so. This a local business worthy of our support. hb

This deli used to be so great growing up, and even a few months ago back when the young adults were…read moreworking there. All of a sudden they let them go, and decided to hire old people who cannot remember anything or get anything right and it was very frustrating. We stopped going and then decided to come back and now i think theyve hired people who are high, they dont do their job, dont listen at all, dont pay attention. The place has gone down the drain and the food is not good at all anymore. They cant cook eggs to the right temperature and cant put the right cheese or any cheese on it if you ask. Its horrible. The place is ghetto and lazy now. How hard is it to get a good bacon egg and cheese??? Never coming again. I tried and tried and am over it.
