I personally understand sometimes we get ourselves into a mess. .. But Jimmys has to go by the book. They work with the county and melissa is actually a great person.. Dont be rude. Shes doing her job.. At first things werent looking good for me and my truck.. Butt.. She went our if her way and helped me personally. So I thank god for ppl like her.. She does try to help. But cmon. I wouldnt risk my job for anyone. Specially how we all come in mad at them, when we got our cars towed.. I do say its pricey. I was shocked .. Its my first time dealing with this situation but they helped me through it.. And as far as damaged items go.. I blame the police department for that. They tore my truck up :( But its ok. Gods on my side and hopefully I can do this faster because its expensive and with the corona virus and no Job. Things look bad right now.. Like I said. Theyre a business though and theyre just doing theyre job. So thank you Melissa and the guy that works there too.. For helping me at least get some of my belongings .. I had my pink slip and just bought my truck and they sat there and listened.. God bless. Have a good day To everyone at Jimmy's read more

They did not allow me to get my property out of my car. A deal was made with "owner", that pink slip would be given to obtain property. Went to give them ownership of my vehicle and was told my car was taken to junk and all my personal belongings were just "gone". So where did all of my stuff go if the car was "trashed"? Taking this one to court. read more

Was on Main and Telephone today getting ready to turn tight in Telephone. Looked over my right shoulder to enter the Bike Lane to make the right turn. At about 40 mph the Jimmy tow truck almost runs me down. Honking and coming within inches of my car. Honking again and again as we both make the right turn. He them passes me in the right at 50 and uses the f word and moves in front of me. What an ahole. Do not use this company. The reviews are horrible and consistently BAD read more

The least evil of all the tows In ventura towed me from Ralphs to Oxnard only charged me 500 to pick up my truck within 5 hours of getting me towed which was exorbitant but it was hooked up to a small trailer which meant he had to bring the bigger truck to keep the two connected- still it was a hassle said he could have really stung me on the price - I felt ripped off so he knocked 50 off- such a racket. read more

This place reminds me of the well-known Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp, except that the prisoners aren't extremist enemies of the United States, but are the vehicles of frustrated, financially-strapped citizens who wish to free their property from detention. My friend's car got towed while out of town, so he asked my assistance with getting it paroled. Fortunately he didn't ask for financial help because I couldn't afford the $425 charge for towing and four-days storage plus the $200 fee charged by the city of Ventura. Not so funny is that I saw his car parked on the street and could have moved it for him had I been able to read the warning notice. I suspect they write the warnings in invisible ink, but that's just a suspicion. Don't get towed unless you're prepared to pay a small fortune. read more

First of all no one wants to see there car on a tow truck but if it does have to be on one I prefer Jimmy z towing any day very Fast and efficient yes one of the more pricey companies being they're a state regulated company contracted with chp,Ventura pd and vcsd pricing is per contact and all drivers are certified and pass back ground check I wouldn't trust given vehicle with one of those $40 fly by night companies you can buy the way they take care of their own trucks that they will treat you're car with respect... .. I have read some of the other reviews and just wondering if these other customer were not volunteering towed (impounded) due to their own problems so they were upset to begin with if not the company's problem there just doing their job ... read more

I can't believe how horrible this place is. Most unprofessional tow truck driver I have ever met. He hooked my car up wrong when towing my car and now my check engine light is on. My car used to run perfect and now, the same day that I get my car out of his lot, my check engine light is on. DONT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR CAR. YOU WILL REGRET IT. read more

Do not recommend this company!! I was in an accident and my car was totalled. They towed it to their yard, and I went to retrieve my personal belongings from my car and a audio amplifier that was under the seat. The guy at the yard was rude and wouldn't let me take my amplifier, said it was not allowed while the car was on the property. When the car was removed from the property the amplifier had been stolen! Do not trust these people! read more

Jimmy towed my car from 211 E Santa Clara Street to 1190 N Ventura Ave. Google Maps estimates this to be a three minute drive. Unfortunately, Jimmy took the scenic route, a 75 minute drive. At a towing rate of $3.25 per minute, I expected more from Jimmy. I am not even mad, just disappointed. If your car ends up in this guy's lot, I advise you to just wait for the police auction; You'll probably save a few bucks, or maybe snag an even better car! read more

Check your vehicle thoroughly before making payment. My friend William H. found damaged saddle bags and a damaged tire after leaving the lot. Worst towing company in Ventura county, they charge you as much as they can. It took them an hour to get my car and take it back to their spot. My car was in a accident . Almost 1000 charge after being there less then a week. I called a separate tow company and their rate was $120. Jimmy Tow is rip off. read more

Avoid at all COSTS. BMW Roadside Assistance introduced us to this company after our so-called run-flat tire failed to run flat. After waiting about and hour and a half along the 101 North, the driver showed up to tow our car. He was cordial and all seemed to be in order until we arrived at the BMW Service Center, at which point he pulled the front end of our car off whilst backing it off of his trailer (it caught on the trailer - not our fault). I stood there in shock watching him try to snap it back into place without success as the plastic pins and the piece holding them had cracked. He then shoved a clipboard in my face and asked me to sign off on the car having been towed to its destination. I asked him what I was meant to do about the front end and he'd informed me that it was a simple matter of plastic clips being replaced. Then he got in his truck and drove off as quickly as he could. I called the proprietor to tell him what had happened and, after calling me back, he informed me that "the front piece was back together at the time the driver departed" (flat out lie) and that that "is the position we're taking". He then hung up on me (I kid you not). Apparently this company is not at all familiar with ethical business practices, let alone common decency. To conclude, BMW Service then informed me that the part cannot be repaired and its replacement would cost about $1,600. read more

Incredibly terrible drivers!! Raced people on the on-ramp, almost running into a car. Speeds on the highway and doesn't let on coming traffic in or slow down. You'd expect more caution when driving a large truck that can't stop fast like other cars. Not to mention no regard for the car that is being towed. read more

Had my car towed for parking violation outside my job the next day I went and got some of my belongings from his tow yard Jimmie said it was an iffy situation why my car got towed and that he would work me a deal to make the price more reasonable the whole time I'm getting my stuff he kept asking for my key so I gave it to him since he was going to work me a deal I told him I would pick up my car on Friday when I got paid well he ended up sending the paperwork to my finance company and having them pick it up on Thursday,he charged them $800 if he was going to do that he should've told me to get all my stuff out so now my car its in 805 recovery place and they're charging me 145 to get my property which is fucking ridiculous since I own everything in the car and when I called the tow place the receptionist laughed at me when I asked why that was done these people do not know how to run a professional business or how to be honest read more

One of the drivers is wreckless! On 4/23/14 at aproximately 4:20pm one of Jimmy''z drivers was driving toward Santa Paula on Hwy 126 at over 75 MPH weaving in and out of traffic and cutting people off just so he could get off at Victoria Ave. I guess he was too stupid to realize his truck is a rolling billboard. I can't imagine my vehicle being towed (actually this was a flatbed) by this wreckless driver or a company that would allow this type of driving. I will make sure AAA never sends Jimmy'z if I every need a tow truck. read more
