It's a small business run by two great, exceedingly nice people. They have around twenty beers on a rotating tap, and many of the ones I've tried have been great. I often like to ask for recommendations and they are pretty spot on with them and know the beers well. The place is bring your own food, they'll bring the plates, utensils, and napkins. It's pet friendly. The prices are great. They also run beers of the month and tap takeovers! Great people, cold beer, good conversations. What more could you want?

My wife didn't have hers, so I explained we were simply checking out the place. Instead of politely explaining the policy, he became argumentative and told us they don't serve food. The attitude was completely unnecessary, so we left. On the way out, my wife questioned his behavior, and somehow that turned into a story about police sending people in to test him. Rules are rules, but basic courtesy should be too. Terrible first impression of this place, and we definitely won't be back.

I don't spirits no more but the shot menu was appealing. I suggested they get the dumpster fire shot, they do too. Seems a mix of locals and college kids. Watching dudes buying drinks for every girl individually and getting blown off is fun too. Glad there's only one woman I have focus on. But I'd suggest only taking drinks handed to you by bartender... that's anywhere though. Karaoke was fun. My one drawback was the singing area was cramped. I'd stick it more like on the dance floor. Sometimes people get too close singing. I didnt feel like it was a choice. But it was still super fun and there's quite a cast of characters performing!

Confusing layout and whether or not this is a bar or a convenience store, I guess it's both. Dino's…read moreBar has a similar style to a few other old school Chicago bars, where you can drink on site, or purchase bottles to go. It also doubles as a convenience store, and you can even purchase cigarettes and more. A lot also like going here for karaoke. There's also other entertainment such as slots. Beer is cheap. It's about $2.75 for domestic drafts. They have the basic stuff like Miller High Life. Only a few beers are on tap, but they have a lot more in bottles and cans. There's a wall full of the hard stuff. Liquor prices aren't bad either. They also have free popcorn. As for what else to do other than drink, you have a few choices. People often gush about karaoke. It seems to be the most popular night to come here. This place is bumping on weekends. Other times it's pretty quiet and even boring. The slots become the main form of entertainment, along with watching a game. Find good times and prices at this old school bar. It usually has a special going on. This gets more fun on weekends.

Back in the day, this was not a bar I would have gone into. It definitely had a "The Hills Have…read moreEyes" vibes to it, where I could hear the banjos from Deliverance strumming. It was very closed off and I don't like places I where I can't see what is going on in there and if there is an escape route. For me, the old Max's made the old Carol's look upscale and that is saying something. Fast-forward to now and there is a new look to the place, at least on the outside. I can't speak on the changes to the inside because I never went in there. But the new façade is very inviting and guess what, they have bubbles. Big win for me. Stopped in there while walking down Clark Street to just see what was going on. Met the bartender Nick, who was nice. One of the owners was there as well doing some touch up work and was also nice to speak to. Took a look at the outdoor patio area and it looked cute, definitely a good outdoor spot when the temperatures are warmer. The drink prices are pretty reasonable and they let you bring in food, so for me this is a place that not only serves the community but the businesses in them as you can order your favorite take out. I know that there are some folks who are not feeling the new look, but y'all best get to stepping because I for one am happy with the transformation. The Unforgettable Bar is a masterful clash of vibes: it's part neighborhood sports dive, part old-timey classic Chicago hang, and completely brilliant. The owners have taken an old 70s bar and treated it with an incredible amount of respect, keeping it spotless while injecting an absolute ton of personality. What really blows me away are the intentional, thoughtful touches everywhere you look. In a world where customer service often feels like an afterthought, the hospitality here makes you feel immediately valued. It's rare to find a spot that nails the details this well while keeping the music great and the energy totally unpretentious. Huge hats off to the owners--you've built something truly special here.
