The restaurant is clean and the employees were friendly greeting me as I entered. I tried their new smoked cheddar bourbon club sandwich on roast beef. The sandwich doesn't look like the advertised picture. My sandwich is kind of flat and not eye catching like the picture. The sandwich tasted okay. The sandwich is a little sweet I suppose from the Siracha sauce. It's definitely not a spicy taste. I would give the sandwich a 3.5 stars because of their bread, which is really good. read more

I'm not sure why any jimmy johns I've been to in the USA somehow doesn't get it right. Is it the freaky fast expectation to get things done that they mess up? Not sure. Just went through this drive through location and I am very disappointed to say the least. We ordered a giant Lulu, no tomatoes, half with pickles and the other half with easy mayo. Not too difficult to understand... Upon arriving at home, excited to enjoy my sandwich, I bite into it expecting a tomato free lulu with pickles added. I come to find a baconless, Mayo-less, and pickle-less sandwich WITH tomatoes. I'm just confused because I didn't think the requests were hard to meet. On a recent trip to Sioux Falls, my wife and I wanted to try a sandwich shop instead of a hamburger at the nearby McDonald's. Someone had mentioned that Jimmy John's made good subs, so we gave it a shot. Wow! Now, don't get me wrong - this is still a sub shop - and up against national competitors like Subway, Jimmy John's can actually feel limited on add-ons (one customer after us asked for banana peppers, which Jimmy John's doesn't offer). But what Jimmy John's does is craft a flavor and deliver it to you. In offering a small host of add-ons, they can guarantee that your sandwich experience will be consistent, and that you'll taste the better-than-Subway-quality meat that they use. My wife got a roast beef and provolone (Hunter's Club), and I got a genoa salami, Italian capicola, smoked ham, and provolone (Italian Night Club). Both sandwiches were great. They're simple, and you feel like you're getting quality at a discount. The previous yelper was right though - you've got a kitchen with 10 people yelling and singing, and at times, the high-energy can be, well, too high. But I wouldn't prefer the opposite - as sterile environment where employees are afraid to speak. Also exciting for me as a Californian: they have Mello Yello in the soda fountain. Food was great, place was clean, BUT.... wow.... 10 employees standing around laughing, yelling, radio blaring.... I saw one customer's sub, "sub" for a football... I guess this is the norm if the customer is at the counter. I planned on staying for a relaxing lunch hour, but it was too darn noisy to even enjoy the food. It was 4PM on April 18, 2012... and even though I was the only customer in the place, you would think it was jam packed.. I am am easy to please person and almost never complain. I go to jimmy johns at least three times a week. I always go to the same one, because it is by my house. Jimmy John's is the Best place to get the Best sub in all of Sioux Falls! ! Fresh meat stacked high, fresh vegis, just the right amount of seasonings, and it's not pre-made. The employees are friendly, the atmosphere is clean and enjoyable. You can take out, eat in, do drive thru or have it delivered. They even have vegi subs. I so love JJs.
