Jimmy John's has pretty good bread for hoagies. I ordered the turkey Tom which came with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayonnaise as standard toppings. The cheese on this sandwich was an extra topping charge. The ingredients taste fresh and the service is always quick. read more

Jimmy John's - Turkey Tom (GIANT SIZE) - Sandwiches Near Me - Newark, Delaware

i just left this place so freaking irritated. i was visiting my mom at the hospital and had to go to work, hadn't eaten in a couple hours so i was starving. a hoagie sounded good so i stopped at jimmy johns because it was so close by. but wow that was horrendous. the employees had terrible customer service and no social skills, the cashier had headphones on and workers were rude. not to mention it was completely empty and it took forever to get my hoagie. they almost gave me the wrong one as well. when i opened it there was genuinely no meat, i got both ham and salami and i had maybe two slices of each at the very most. and to top it all off i spent twelve dollars on this disappointment of a hoagie. i could go to a family owned shop and get a fully loaded hoagie with better quality ingredients for the same price, if not cheaper. eating here is definitely not worth it! read more

We found this store after searching for someplace to eat while traveling. We arrived late, and they welcomed us with a kind manner. Our food was fresh and delicious. The lettuce wrap was crisp and perfect! The Diet Coke was perfectly carbonated. IYKYK. ! The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We appreciated the warm welcome, especially after a long day of traveling. The shop is close to the highway (with a stoplight) so we'll stop in on our future travels! read more

The only reason why this establishment has more than one star from me, is because I have gotten sandwiches from here a number of times and didn't seem to have any issues, but what I experienced today changes everything. I opened the two halves of my sandwich as I was nearing the end of it when I found a gnat stuck in the mayo on one of the halves. I am beyond disgusted, therefore patronize the store at your own risk. Had I not opened it up, I would have eaten the bug. I called the store and the manager offered to remake my sandwich and refund my money, however, the principle of bugs being able to make it into a customer's food is inexcusable. read more

Went there last night. Ordered the Jimmy Cubano and a Turkey Club. Turkey Club was fine, however the Cubano was just bread. Below is the picture shown on the website, and what I received (next to the turkey club). I am guessing they are outsourcing their subs to wish.com. There are a ton of decent places around Newark, save yourself and avoid this one. read more

We are from Jersey and stop here every time we visit Delaware. Food is always great but today was a bit special! While enjoying our meal, an elderly couple came in, and the cashier already knew what they were going to order. That is top-notch customer service in my book! I don't see that very often, and I'm glad to see the cashier cares enough about their regular customers to remember their order. read more

My husband and I went to Jimmy John's. The customer service was very poor. The sandwich was mediocre. The sandwich maker did not have a bonnet over his hair. The best thing we experienced there was the oatmeal raisin cookie. It taste like somebody's grandmother was in the kitchen. That was our first and last time that we will go to Jimmy John's. read more

Best JJ's experience ever. Perfectly made sandwiches. Pick up was ready when we arrived. Super clean bathroom and facility.

I don't even know where to begin. We were driving past and wanted sandwiches for lunch, so instead of Jersey Mike's, we decided to try Jimmy John's instead. What a horrible decision. I'll start with the bread. The sub rolls were horrible, no taste, just blah. I had an Italian, the meats were just ok, and talk about a thin sandwich. My wife had a ham and provolone and it was like 3 pieces of ham and 2 slices of cheese. Just really skimpy. But they didn't even taste good. No flavor at all, bland doesn't begin to describe things. Save yourself, find a primos or a jersey mikes instead. read more

What can I say, I am a fan. This location is run particularly well. The service team are all really nice, polite and helpful. The location has been spotless every time I have been there. Service is VERY FAST here. The bread is good and the meats, cheeses and toppings are consistent. I stop in once a visit to Newark and have have catered in a couple of business lunches at the hotel across the street. They do a great job on delivery as well. read more

Jimmy John's - They also have reduced fat chips! - Sandwiches Near Me - Newark, Delaware

I had a wonderful experience. Ty and Kendra were amazing individuals, both professional, and had great attitudes.

Always have a good experience here- both delivery and in store. Service is fast like Jimmy John's is known for. Quality is great and the location is convenient! read more

It is a Jimmy John's with the expected sandwiches. The bread is soft and fresh with good sandwich fillings. I like the JJ BLT. This is a new shop and the sandwich was made well, consistent with other JJs I have eaten at. The classic pickle is available. They do move fast as expected and promised, perhaps not as fast as some more established JJs. But I am sure they will continue to be faster. Will have to check out their delivery speed. Overall good sandwiches and fast; which is why you go to a JJs. read more

Jimmy John's - the front of the restaurant - Sandwiches Near Me - Newark, Delaware

Good sandwiches at a reasonable price. I've been here three times for lunch during the work day since they opened. However, I'm giving two stars only due to concerns about the staffs consideration and attentiveness towards customers and the music in the shop. Recently the music inside this establishment has been so loud that it's ruining "eat-in" experience. The music comes crashing down from the wall mounted speakers forcing diners to try and talk over it as it blares through the narrow corridor like seating area. Please consider adjusting the volume to a background level that compliments the atmosphere and decor instead of rocking-out to entertain the staff! The staff should also be educated on how to approach routine tasks around customers who are eating. In one case I had employees trying to mop nearly under the table I was seated eating at with a bucket of smelly cleaning water inches from me! Please respect the dining experience. In closing, the product sold here is spot-on but management really needs to catch these things before they turn-off any future business!!! read more

I am a business traveler so I was a bit set back when the cashier refused to put my peppers on the side. I even told her I would buy an extra cup to place the peppers in but she was unmovable and told me it was a corporate policy to only put them on the sandwich. I informed Destiny that no it is not corporate policy b/c I have been to other Jimmy Johns and they put them in a lil cup. I will never return to this Jimmy Johns. I rather go somewhere where they don't lie, make up rules and not take care of the customer. read more

Soft fresh white bread (rolls) and decent cold-cut based sandwiches. A decent value and yes, very fast service. This location was clean and convenient when my kid & I needed a quick lunch. Tuna is very good - for chunk light - not too mayonnaise-y. Cucumber and tomatoe slices were fresh. No issues. read more

My lunch today cost me almost 10 dollars. A couple of years ago, the exact same lunch at the exact same place cost me 6 bucks. 40% increase in 2 years. Sub with no taste. Rude staff. Dirty place. Never again. read more

Ordered for the first time. I got a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise on thick cut wheat bread. I thought the bread was great. Overall the sandwich was tasteless except for the fact that something tasted like it had been in the refrigerator a long time. You know when something tastes like the refrigerator? I couldn't decide if it was the lettuce or maybe the mayo had been sitting out too long. But here I am in the morning and I still can smell the mayo on my hands and I took a shower before bed! I'll try it again but that will be it for me. read more

If you've been to a Jimmy John's before, this location is exactly what you're expecting. I was in the area staying at one of the hotels, so it was super convenient to just walk over. Had an Italian Nightclub with hot peppers, which was probably the best one I've ever had. Not much else to say, just wanted to leave a positive review for a solid JJ's experience. read more

Jimmy John's - Ultimate PORKER - Sandwiches Near Me - Newark, Delaware

This is a standard Jimmy-John's. I find their sandwiches boring.. "free smells" of a plain sandwich are about enticing as "white bread scent" at a Stroehmann's factory. I got a Slim 5 which was lunch meat and cheese on a roll... I could have rolled out of bed and made this sandwich for pennies. Nothing special. The vito was as tasty as sucking on a roof tile. Not a fan :( read more

My first review ever but I had to do it. I never experienced anything like this in my life. I'm ordering 5 hoagies to take to clients and I can't get anything on the side. Asked for onions on the side I was told "no', asked for cheese on the side again I was told no by the manager. I will never order from here again. I just wonder if a jimmy John's are like this? read more

The sandwiches are okay and the staff are friendly. I just wish that bags were available to carry out your lunch and or dinner.

Amazing sub sandwiches but I placed my order online and food was ready when I picked it up. I've never ordered from Jimmy John's before so when I gave my boss her Turkey sub and left to go home and eat my Italian I discovered she ate my sandwich and got the turkey. They don't mark them correctly. This is important because I'm allergic to turkey. So I took it back. The manager gave me attitude. and then began making me another turkey sub??? I asked him why?? He then had more attitude and added possible physical violence. I don't understand why something so easy to fix, seemed such a challenge? Everyone says there food is so great. And I agree but, there customer service needs serious work!!!l read more

My wife visit this store on 3 June 2017 after coming from Dover, De. The store had run out of Roast Beef well done variety. It was the week-end. Did not get the food we wanted. He try to charge her extra for a Turkey sandwich. We were let down by the store. You failed us! read more

First Impression-The Guys Behind The Counter-Super Friendly Then it went down hill from there. The cashier and the sandwich prep guy were both yelling things that they thought that I would like since it was my first time there. I was a bit overwhelmed because they were yelling and speaking fast. I was appreciative but a tad bit taken aback. I proceeded to politely let the prep guy know that I would like my sandwich prepared a certain way. He looked shocked but moved forward. I asked for mayo on one half of the roll, a tomato slice cut in half, lettuce, extra vinegar, salt and pepper. Well...he offered oregano and I do not like it so I said no thanks...then he told me that they do not have salt and pepper. I said ok...then just extra vinegar (again). He splashed the vinegar ONCE and then wrapped my sandwich. I had to ask for a bag since I got the chips and a drink. Then I asked for a side container of vinegar and was told they do not have a container to put the vinegar in. The prep guy then told me he could unwrap the sandwich and add more vinegar. I was thinking...if he would have only honored my simple request in the first place then all would be right with my experience. Well...almost right. Needless to say...my sandwich is lacking is taste and the correct texture. Jimmy Johns-Newark, DE should consider stepping it up a notch because I am unhappy with my FIRST EXPERIENCE. read more

My first visit to Jimmy John's and was Very Pleased. Ordered the Italian and was surprised how fast it was made. Will definitely return!

If I could have given this place a zero I would. Worst sandwich ever. Asked for salt and pepper. They don't have it! What restaurant doesn't have salt and pepper. Ask for extra oil after I tasted it. They wanted to take my sandwich back because they don't have little cups Meat was nearly non existent! Will never go back! Also no bags to carry food out. Also no sweet peppers. This owner needs to visit a subway! This is a joke ! read more

Love jimmy johns but this location in particular. I always order from here while at work and they're always super quick with delivery.
