A quick personal tip for any fellow bearded sandwich fans: I always ask for the mayo to go directly on the bread first rather than on top of the meat. It keeps things contained and saves the beard from collateral damage. I loaded mine up with lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, and jalapeños, then finished it with salt and pepper, oil and vinegar, and a drizzle of ranch on top. Simple, classic, and reliably satisfying. The team working the counter was great -- friendly, efficient, and patient as they built the sandwich exactly the way I wanted it. The one thing I had to mention to them, and that I'll mention here too, is that I genuinely miss two breads that have been off the menu: the Honey Wheat and the Cheesy Jalapeño.
