Jimmy John's - Across The Street - Sandwiches Near Me - Montgomery, Alabama

Why is it always closed? Middle of the day? Closed. Afternoon? Closed. I'm staying in the hotel across the street and I've gone down during their business hours on three separate occasions to find it closed when it should be open. One of the employees said the manager will close if there's no business, but you can't get business if you're closed. read more

Beautiful building, great food, and exceptional service. The whole building (including the bathrooms) were very clean. This was a wonderful place to eat with very kind people who worked here. read more

Jimmy John's - Fun signs all around the restaurant - Sandwiches Near Me - Montgomery, Alabama

Spent $51 on 2 sandwich combos and the sandwich was the sorriest thing I have ever gotten from Jimmy John's. Last time going to Jimmy John's - used to love it - but it lost a customer today. read more

Huge Jimmy John's fan. Cool building and great location, but the staff was awful. I should've read the previous reviews first because I'm clearly not the only one. Whoever owns this location really needs to hire better employees--surely you can find better than a rude, unprofessional old fat guy. read more

Closed! I've been staying at the hotel across the street for over 30 days and saw Jimmy John's open once from 1100-1300. Google states hours are daily 1100-2100. Really? Closed? This downtown area always has something going on: concerts, baseball games, it's like the owner doesn't care. read more

I would not recommend this location due to the unprofessional and inappropriate behavior of its employees. I am a teacher on an educational trip with students. One of my students ate lunch at this Jimmy John's with one of my colleagues. A few hours later, they realized that they did not have their wallet. After completing our prepaid tours, they checked their room around 6:30pm and could not find it. I called Jimmy John's but did not get an answer, so we walked to the location. The store appeared closed (even though it was before 7pm), but we could see a man behind the counter. I knocked and waved. He ignored. I knocked again and he walked to the back. I called the store and got no answer. He came back out, and I waved. I knocked on the door, and he looked at me, shook his head, put his AirPods in and returned to cleaning. I called the store again. We remained standing outside. We knocked again. Finally, after waiting outside for about 10 min, the worker came to the door. Through the glass, he showed us on his cell phone that he had called 911. My student and I stepped back from the door but remained in front of the restaurant. A SWAT officer happened to walk up. He was not responding to the situation but was willing to help. He knocked on the door, and the worker did not answer. When he shined his flashlight in the door window, the worker came to the door. The worker was clearly angry. He lied and said that he told me that there was no wallet found in the store and we could not come in but I refused to leave. (This showed me that he could hear my student and I talking and chose not to help us.) The officer kindly asked if we could come in to look for the wallet. The worker refused, saying that the owner wasn't there. The officer made it clear that he would accompany myself and my 15-year-old student (both of us being female around 5'0") into the restaurant. The worker refused and walked back to the store. The officer followed him and talked to him. We could not hear what the officer was saying but we could hear the worker's tone and see his face. It was honestly scary. I am grateful to the SWAT officer for attempting to help us. If he had not been there, then I would have been concerned for mine and my student's safety. read more

The location says it's open at 11 but no one is at the store at 11:15? can't sell sandwiches if you're not here, the customers are doing their part. read more

Jimmy John's - Customer standing in line waiting. - Sandwiches Near Me - Montgomery, Alabama

restaurant constantly shows they are open At normal hours. it allowed me to place a mobile order and charged my credit card. showed up and the restaurant was closed. no lights on and locked at 4 pm on a weekday. have to dispute the CC charge read more

Food is fine. Customer service is fine. The crazy thing here is the price. I'm from Cincinnati and it's almost double the cost here than back home. It's about 30-40% more in comparison to local Jimmy John's. Either the rent is crazy expensive or the owner is price gauging. Insane. Do not go here. read more

Jimmy John's - Receipt - Sandwiches Near Me - Montgomery, Alabama

Y'all....The location was clearly understaffed, but somehow Nathan is keeping it together. He had a positive attitude and great customer service. read more

More than once I have ordered delivery from this location to be called 20-30 minutes later to tell me they aren't delivering. They said they have one driver and they only work one day a week. Yet they accept orders for delivery. It was bad enough to pay $28 for a sandwich chips and a pickle. This will be the last time I ever deal with Jimmy John's freaky slow disappointment. Not to mention there wasn't a manager on duty to talk to and the guy had an attitude when he called. This was the last straw for jimmy johns. Stay away don't waste your time coming here. read more

Horrible customer service. Came after a long day and my daughter needed to us the restroom. The young man at the register rudely informed me he could not access the code unless we purchased something. My daughter is dancing to keep from peeing on herself. He moves slowly as I order something fast so that I could take her to the restroom. His attitude turned us off so much, we decided to go elsewhere. Treat people with courtesy and respect, that's not too much to ask especially when it involves children. read more

Not sure why this JJ's get a bad rep. I've ordered a few times and it's been delicious and the folks have been really nice. Yes, it's a little pricey, but the girl working today was about to close up and still took my order and was super friendly. read more

The restaurant closes early many days compared to the posted hours. The restaurant runs out of bread and other food options often. It is also over priced compared to other Jimmy John's around the country. read more

Closed well before stated time of 10 pm. After seeing these reviews- I'm glad! Make it known if you are going to close early and don't accept online orders. read more

Attempted to go here before they closed and the two hood rat employees were sitting outside talking vulgarly and as I approached the door said "we closed." Okay, so why are you even here riding the clock and talking amongst yourself outside? Not to mention parking is absolutely atrocious. Took way too much time out of my day to be such a disappointment. read more

This location does a great job! Sandwiches are fast and accurate, even with a 40+ person order. Multiple times the staff on site have saved a working lunch event. Plan ahead and order early - when the bread runs out, so do the sandwiches. read more

I like this location. It's small, but the staff was very quick to get the customers orders taken and completed. The weather was nice, so I sat outside today and people watched. The sandwiches are pretty standard with other Jimmy Johns locations, so if you've been to one you are already familiar. Because of the downtown area, they appear to do a substantial amount of delivery orders (via bicycle); that was a neat twist. read more

Jimmy John's - Quick lunch locale in the downtown Montgomery area! - Sandwiches Near Me - Montgomery, Alabama

The roll was stale, seriously stale. One bite was enough. What was inside the sandwich was ok, but not worth the price. Nice looking place, clean. read more

I do not recommend this overpriced Jimmy Johns. There was no option for water on tap or water cups. The tea was very watered down. And, the cashier was expectedly rude. Four plain reg sandwiches, two bags of chips, and six small drinks should not cost $75.00. read more

Double the prices of other locations. Standard sub is $10. Little mini sub is $5 plus tax. I won't be coming here, overpriced. Charges extra for adding extra veggies too when all other shops are free. This place is a rip off. read more

While visiting this location I purchase cookie and ask if it could be warm to which they kindly said no because they are a cold sandwich shop. No problem. Asked for knife to cut sandwich to which they replied we carry no utensils. Seems kind of odd. read more

The food was good, but the service was awful. The running the register and the food was rude. He was put out that we came in and refused to take cash as payment. Never was there a smile or a thank you. I will not eat at this location ever again. read more

Great sandwiches but this franchise is by far the most expensive I've ever been to. Even the other two locations in Montgomery are more reasonable priced. Disappointed. read more

Nooooooot great. You order a Veggie Sandwich with chips and drink, and you leave spending more than ten bucks? My sandwich consisted of cheese, cheese, and more cheese, and apparently they held all the other toppings, including the much desired guacamole. To prove my point, I ordered the sandwich with Dijon mustard... DIJON MUSTARD! One of the most potent ingredients you can put on a sandwich... Could barely taste it. So, all I've gotta say is, if you're going to charge that much for a sandwich on bread that isn't even that good (don't let anyone tell you it is-they lie), then at least give me my money's worth please. read more

The only thing "Freaky Fast about this Jimmy Johns was how quick the employee locked the door after I got my sandwich! Doors locked at 7:18 pm. Website says this JJ closes at 10:00 PM. Not to mention .45 cent for a cup of water and had to wait behind two orders that came in way after me. I won't say why I was made to wait behind people I was clearly in front of but hey. It is Montgomery! read more

sitting outside JJs now. First time at a Jimmys. Menu was meh. No pepper jack cheese was sad. Sat outside and the Alabama suns beating down. Opend the umbrella. You know the one with the logo on it. The manager came outside and snapped at me. "Shut that umbrella right now" he shouted like i was a kid. Im a 31 year old combat vet. Utter disrespect. When I asked why he gave me a bunch of excuses about the wind. That seems like something a manager could fix with a call to local weld shop and a few sand bags or somthing. But what do I know. I'm just some guy with a sandwich. read more

The most "sub" sandwich I have had in my life. Tasteless bread, shredded iceberg lettuce and tomato. Very limited choice and overpriced on top of it all. My husband took 2 bites of his sandwich and tossed it. read more

My wife and I were traveling down to Florida for our honeymoon when we decided to stop by this Jimmy John's. We had never been to this particular one before, but JJ's is always our first choice when we travel. But when we arrived there was a sign on the door that said, "out for delivery, be back." So we waited for about 5 minutes, and then the worker came back and made sure we weren't waiting long. He made our sandwiches and didn't even charge us because we had to wait, and congratulated us on our honeymoon. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it, and the sandwich was incredible tasty too! Stop here on your way through town, I highly recommend it. read more

I placed an order with the Jimmy Johns on Commerce st. Waited for over an hour before I got impatient and called the store myself. Only to be told my order was voided out because they didn't have a driver. I asked if someone had called me about this. I was told they had called but did not leave a message. Customer service is poor and I will never order from that store again. Now I have to wait 3-5 business days for a refund. They should not be taking orders online for delivery if they don't have no one to deliver the food!!! read more

Jimmy John's is a good, reliable sub shop. Much better than Subway IMO. if you are traveling with a dog, this location is ideal. There is grass right in front of the building and they have outdoor seating. It was a pleasant location to enjoy lunch with our two Jack Russell terrorists. read more

Sandwich good, service? No Service. Two guys cutting meat and cheese in the back of store and no one tending the counter. Had to yell at them to ask if they were open, then they both came to the front of the store.
