We've had a few issues with delivery over time, but I will say the owner was amazing about making the first issue right, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, we've continued to run into a couple more delivery mix-ups where the wrong order was sent and had to be re-delivered. Another time, I never received the tracking information, so our food ended up sitting on the porch for about 35 minutes before I realized it had arrived. I forgot I ever wrote a review for Jimmy John's on at 5229 S Power Rd in Mesa, in the strip mall at Power and Ray just east of Power and West of the Airport Courtyard Marriott. This is a very belated PSA: I left the initial review in 2018, and in 2021 I bought two sandwiches on my way home on a Friday night. Planned on having half of each for dinner since I did not eat much of anything that day. Good thing it was the end of my work week because an hour after eating, I became ill--and then violently ill--as the night progressed. Think of standing in the shower because you have no control from either direction while heaving so hard everything starts going dark. It wasn't until around 10 hours later things finally calmed down. I reported this incident to a website and copied a health site. Also copied the restaurant, but never heard a thing. Since then I have seen multiple complaints regarding different locations in AZ and elsewhere, so I stopped going to this chain completely. read more

We needed a quick bite before heading to the airport just down the road. I love their rolls and bread for sandwiches, but am not eating bread. I had mine wrapped in a lettuce wrap (an unwich). Although not as good as when it's in their bread, it was a satisfying sandwich full of protein. The workers were all friendly and seemed efficient. I was the only one there ordering. Guy let me take my time because this has only been the second time of me eating jimmy John's. Since I was the only one there I was watching the guy that was making it. He put 3 of the smallest and end tomato's he could find when I could see a whole full tin of big ripe ones, I didn't say anything. Then came the onions, 2 tiny strips, not even a whole slice. I politely asked if I could have a few more and he acted like I just asked for a million dollars, the same when I asked for a little more mayo. Then at the end I asked if I could have it cut in half and also thanked him for doing so. He never not once responded to any of my thank you's, just acted as if was a big inconvenience for him even though there were no other customers. Not sure why they don't cut their subs in half anyway, or let the customers see in front while they're making the subs. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the guy making the subs. Fantastic customer service at this location. I frequent this JJs about once a week and I love the people they have behind the counter. Each time I enter, I am greeted even when it's a busy day. The team is always welcoming and have learned my order since I frequent so much. They make my order speedy fast and the food is always perfect. The store is always clean and the music is always on ready to welcome you into the store. There is plenty of parking making it an easy location to visit. read more

As soon as I walked in I saw three workers behind the counter, as I walked up the counter one just stood there the other three two loaves of bread on the counter after rolling her eyes and the other just stood and the register and stared at me without saying anything. Ordered delivery of a veggie which is supposed to have avocado. The sandwich didn't. When I called, they wanted the already bitten sandwich back (which is 100% gross and unsanitary in COVID times) and basically accused me of lying. As an Illinoisan, I am a loyal JJ's fan. Beach club on wheat, add sprouts or Italian nightclub on French. Get the enormous, Claussen-esque pickle quartered and if you like salt and vinegar chips, these are awesome! The oatmeal raisin cookie is good, too. The delivery range is small(2 miles), but keep in mind that you can call ahead an order or it will take 2 seconds if you order upon arrival. This isn't the best location ever, as employees are sometimes unfriendly or lacking attention to detail with additions or requesting napkins with delivery. Overall, I still love Jj's and this location provides the same quality of food as others. They have crushed ice, too! Order a loaf of day-old French bread for 50 cents or $1 for fresh loaf.
