First of all, I'd like to start this review by saying I love Jimmy John's. However, my latest experience with this location was awful! My family and I were very busy and decided to doordash Jimmy John's, and the results were disappointing. My paper wrapping my sandwich had a big hole in it which is pretty disgusting. Also, we ordered three bags of chips, and only got one. However, we were still charged for two bags which is utterly ridiculous! I would like to keep purchasing Jimmy John's in the future, but this was unacceptable and extremely disappointing. read more

Lamarr was so helpful waited as i learned to use my app and was helpful when i wasn't sure what i was doing! Now i can really use my app. Need more young people to help those who are technically challenged food was awesome ! My husband was having a hard time eating his sandwich because the bread was tough for him and they gave me some sliced bread to try, which was absolutely delicious! Here I was sitting high asf craving a JJs Sami. So I got my local DD and went there and got 3 sandwiches the two others were for friends. Their sandwiches were normal and the same as mine except with tomatoes. Mine was a limp dick shriveled piece of bread. They barely put any meat no diddy, and loaded it up with lettuce. This genuinely pissed me off and ruined my night. I finished the sandwich even though it fell apart as I was eating , this is because I could eat anything that baked. Not "freaky fast" it took me 40 minutes to get my delivery order. The order was correct so it was good.

Out sourced delivery to DoorDash so now I'm paying more for the same items and the worker delivering my food makes less. DoorDash charges fees to businesses and businesses pass that charge along to consumers by increasing the prices on every item within the DoorDash app. DoorDash charges 15% ($3 minimum) service fee on the already increased prices, and uses that to pay drivers ~$2.50 an order (before customer tip and only if the app doesn't stack the drivers orders). That along with tax on the inflated prices, an addition delivery fee, and the delivery tip to actually pay your driver, is what you're paying if you want JJ's delivered. Go pick it up or don't buy it. These are the practices are whack. Just a note they never returned to there pre-Covid hours and I do miss getting a sandwich after the bars close down. read more

Our family stayed at the Super 8 in Houghton for a Ski Camp for the kids. The snow was coming down heavy and after 4-hours in the car, we just wanted to stay in for the night. Jimmy John's as a chain is at least consistent. Their sandwiches are always good. This link in the chain is no different. My food was good and delivery was quick. One weird thing though, after I told the person who took my phone call the hotel I was in, she asked me the address, which I did not know. When I hung up, I looked out my window and Jimmy John's was across the street, literally 20 feet away from the hotels front door. read more

Subs are so fresh, and the bread is crisp! Delivery is as fast as is promised in the ads. [also a perk if the delivery boy is attractive. Can't lie] Turkey Tom(#4) is my personal sub of choice! I can see why local college students like the place--fast, free delivery. But, the downside is that every single sandwich I've tried there is bland, bland, bland. The ingredients are fresh and the service has always been good, but I can't get past the fact that everything tastes pretty much the same: doughy bread, mayo on everything--even the jalapeño chips were underwhelming. I love jimmy johns. I hate saying anything bad about it because I worked at a jimmy johns for 2 years but the one in houghton keeps giving me reasons to be dissatisfied by them. I ordered two or so weeks ago and they forgot my cookie and side of avocado. I then decided to order again tonight and they forgot two of the pickles on my order, the bread was completely split on both sides, and the side of avocado was such a small portion that it was not worth getting. Overall I'm very unlucky when it comes to this jimmy johns franchise and won't be ordering there as much as I would like to. read more

I was picking up lunch for some camp counselors on June 29, but I was driving past the store at 9:30am and wanted to save myself a trip and get the sandwiches early. I didn't think it was open yet, but I tried the door and when it opened I asked the two people working if they were open yet. They said "We can make a sandwich!" I said, "I actually need five." They were super nice and made 5 sandwiches even though I offered to come back after I learned they didn't open for another 1 1/2 hours. I love the vegetarian sandwich, but thats about it. The last few times we have gotten delivery the person has been in a bad mood when i have gotten to the door. Acts as thought i am the one in the wrong when all I have done is just got to the door they need to higher nicer people. read more

The innards for the sandwiches are skimpy (except for the lettuce, LOTS of that) and they don't deliver to Hancock (at least not past the Krist Gas Station at the end of Quincy Street). Expensive - I'm not going to waste any more of my time with this place... read more
