Oh yeah... to my dismay: Ethel Mae could eat JJ all day!

want it freaky fast and fresh? This jj gets it done right. Highly recommended. Bread is made fresh daily. All meats and cheese at hand cut . They do a good job at this JJ. There are days where I am just plain lazy & want to order out. Love bbq'd chips and u gotta have the big choc chip cookie!

Good as always, but since the staff decided to shut down the ovens early we couldn't get our subs toasted. Disappointing

I had a disappointing experience at Honey Baked Ham Shop…read more I went into the store in person to purchase a specific item and was given the wrong product by the employee. I didn't realize it until I got home. Because the store was closing soon and is closed on Sundays, I had to wait an extra day to return a $40 item that was incorrect due to their mistake. When I returned, the employee opened the package, looked at it, and said, "this is garbage," which was already uncomfortable and unprofessional. He then grabbed a replacement but tossed it down on the counter and treated me rudely throughout the interaction. No apology, no discussion, just displaying disgust with his own life when all I simply wanted was the correct item I had originally asked for. Was it your family that didn't get to eat their pre-planned meal for a birthday party? No, but damn, you'd have thought it personally affected him. Also, when I ordered on Saturday, it's not like I physically went behind the counter and grabbed the wrong item. This was employee error and entirely an error on their end. I am the person that was inconvenienced by this. Mistakes happen, but attitude and customer service matter. Being treated with disrespect over a correction to their own error was frustrating and unnecessary. I expect better professionalism, especially when resolving an issue the store caused. Thank goodness my addiction to their turkey has come to an end due to poor disposition. Mind you, I've always sensed this air of arrogance, but my goodness, never again.

How have I not heard of these kind of kringles before?! I have never really been a fan of kringles,…read moreit's just not my kind of pastry. But this Frankenstein version that Mike's offers that is seemingly a blend of both a kringle and a king cake (the real New Orleans kind)? Heck ya. I will gladly devour this and will be back as often as my travels allow. I was passing through town and stopped in around noon on a Saturday and was thankful to see they had not yet sold out of Kringles for the day. Almond was the only choice left, so I went for it ($22.95)! Plus, a fudgy brownie because why not? Customer service was very friendly and helpful. After checking out I placed the massive kringle and brownie in the trunk so I could get it home to my family without me nibbling on it the entire 2-hour drive home. Once home, I have never seen my family devour a kringle so fast. From the grandparents to the little kiddos, everyone enjoyed Mike's take on a kringle. This should be the default version of a kringle! Oh, and that fudgy brownie? The best I have ever had. All the kudos, stars and compliments I can provide. How has this been kept secret from me for so long?!

We were fortunate enough to visit one of the more popular locations in Uncle Mike's Bake Shoppe. They were pretty busy when we arrived. Looking inside there is a refrigerated section with some homemade goods, some doughnuts and fresh baked bread, and the piece de resistance, the kringle. They had several flavors including blueberry and caramel apple which they were unfortunately out of. We ended up selecting two halves since we couldn't make our mind and you only live once. We went with the Door County Cherry and Strawberry Cream Cheese. They also had some very generous samples available. First of all, the "half" kringle is huge. Looks more like a whole kringle. We really enjoyed each of them. Both flaky, buttery and tender. Loved the Door County Cherry but we might give the edge to the Strawberry Cream Cheese. That is a really tasty and indulgent combination. They do ship their kringles however getting a fresh one is a special treat. Some of the best kringles that we have ever had!

The app's promotion system has some real glitches, and the three of us found ourselves stuck trying to place one simple order using one promo code. Instead of brushing us off or telling us to figure it out ourselves, the owner stepped in personally and went above and beyond to honor the promotion, even though the technical failure wasn't on us. What stood out most was how he handled it: patient, genuinely caring, and efficient, all while making sure we left happy with our two sub sandwiches. It's rare these days to find a fast food or fast casual spot where the owner is so hands-on and so invested in customer satisfaction. This wasn't a scripted "customer service" moment, it felt like dealing with someone who actually cares about the people walking through the door. This location is run by a family that clearly values honesty and compassion as much as good food. In a world of corporate fast food chains where you rarely see an owner on the floor solving problems in real time, this kind of personal touch makes all the difference. If you're in Green Bay, this is a business worth supporting.
