To stay in business for 91 years you know they must be doing something right. I stopped in here for lunch on July 20th 2025 with eight friends. We are all Bears fans and were a little apprehensive about stopping in Green Bay - but I'm so glad we did. Al's is a quaint little diner, but it was a beautiful day and Al's has an inviting outdoor biergarten so we opted to eat outside. I had Al's 1/4 pound Classic with America Cheese and a side of fries. The burger was good but a buddy and I agreed it was a little too salty. The fries were delicious. Service was friendly and quick. If you ever find yourself in Green Bay and you're hungry, you might want to give Al's a try.

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, an open kitchen, wonderful smells, and the kind of friendly service that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. The staff is upbeat, attentive, and genuinely seems to care that you're having a great experience. The pizza is phenomenal! It's perfectly crisp crust, generous toppings, and that ideal balance of sauce and cheese. Every bite tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. We had a pepperoni pizza with hand tossed crust, and a mac and cheese pizza with a thin crust! Both were fantastic. We also had the balsamic chicken and arugula flatbread; another winner! Hands down one of the best places in Green Bay for pizza, we look forward to trying some of the sandwiches next time. Five stars all the way! We'll definitely be back!

The menu is pretty straightforward, my wife had French Toast with a side of bacon. I had a pancake with sausage patties. First the bad, and it was minor. They only have sugar and the pink saccharine packets, no other alternative sweeteners. They also don't want you to tip on the check. They want you to pay cash for the tip. My wife said the French Toast was good and the thick cut bacon was phenomenal. My pancake was huge and filled the plate. The sausage patties were flavorful and the pancake was fluffy and filling. The prices were very reasonably and we will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I tried Zesty's for the first time on Friday, April 24th…read more The good: the custard is very creamy, smooth and delicious. The bad: my Chocolate Mint Oreo Scramble tasted a lot like chocolate and not very minty. I would have preferred it made with vanilla custard, not chocolate. I did not order the Grasshopper Pie Scramble because they add butterscotch and graham crackers to it. A grasshopper pie does not have either of those so I am not sure why Zesty's add them. The Mint Blast sounded like it had too much chocolate added to it, but I probably should have ordered that one as in hindsight it actually looks minty. More bad: my husband's PB Banana Bliss was missing the fudge and did not look like the picture on the menu. Big disappointment. The worst: it took 45 minutes to get our order. All we ordered was custard. There were 3 people waiting to get their food when we walked in, and 2 groups of 2 in front of us in line. That is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for custard or any food, for that matter. Also, 1 of the people waiting when we walked in, asked how long it was going to be to get her food. The cashier gave the customer her food a short time later, got very close to the customer's face and went on a rant about how the food is made fresh. I sure hope the customer contacted management. Completely unacceptable behavior for an employee.
