I drove back to this location to try to get this issue resolved and the manager was rude with terrible customer service. The food is fine if you go pick it up but if you want delivery, make sure you order at least an hour before you want to eat. I had the new Thai Chicken Wrap. I was a little skeptical at first but it taste great. My fiancée had the Caesar Chicken Wrap which was also good. Well, can't quite evaluate the food. Stopped in for lunch at the drive-thru 7/26/24 One car waiting for food at the window. Another car behind them, and of course I'm waiting to be able to pull up to the speaker and order. The line f i n a l l y begins to move and I'm waiting at the speaker and BAM, "I'll be with you in a minute." And I wait. And I wait. And I wait. And when I add the time it took me to get to the speaker as well as the time it's taking to get someone to take my order, I figure it's time to say bye bye. I can go down to Pot Belly's or Jersey Mike's, where I'm sure they'd be glad to take my order quickly and efficiently. After all, most lunch hours are really 30 minutes. I have been having the hardest time actually getting an online order to be correct through Jimmy Johns. Last time my house ordered I decided I wanted to get just a side of the bread and I'd make my own sandwich at home while everyone ordered. It's on the receipt, I paid for it but the bread got skipped. Today I ordered a beach club without lettuce or tomato. This is the virgin JJ's for yours truly. Or should I say, I was a JJ's virgin until they opened this storefront in DeKalb. Nothing to do with my name (or anything else), but I usually order the Big John (or the meatier Hunter's Club). My friends would make fun of me for ordering # 2. They'd say, "don't you mean you have to go # 2?" Ha ha...dorks. So now, I still get either the #2 or Hunter's Club (#9?), and occasionally make garlic bread with the day old $.55 bread for sale at various JJ's locations downtown Chicago. I'm a fuckin' geek. We have been to this location several times now. Every time we have been greeted as we enter (no matter how busy), the place is always super clean and the food is quick (duh) and tasty (double duh). Their bread is always soft and veggies are fresh! We have always eaten in so I cannot comment on drive thru or delivery! read more

I'm giving two stars because the service is usually okay. The delivery speed isn't really timely (40 minutes or more when the delivery address is just down the street). This past order, however, wasn't deserving of a single star. What I ordered was a beach club, cut in half, ez lettuce and ez mayo. My delivery instructions were very clear for the rec center, and included my phone number. What I received was a "skinny" covered in mayo, lettuce, cheese, and had a teeny tiny piece of turkey on one side. See the picture. When I called to complain and request my real order, I did receive the replacement in a timely manner. However, I received excuses from both the person taking my call and the person delivering about having "mistaken orders" and "difficulty with the address". I don't know a single person on earth who would want to pay for a mayo and lettuce casserole with a single piece of turkey no bigger than my thumb, but I guess there's a first for everything. read more

The Jimmy John's in Sycamore is a lot better. I once ordered in their drive thru and they gave me a completely different sandwich than what I had ordered. I called to tell them and the person told me that there was nothing they could do about it. What I ordered was more expensive than what I got as well. read more

so NOT freaky fast. I used to come to this place all the time and the service was good but recently when i've gone, its horrible. What's the point of having a drive through if no one takes your order? I had to drive around and park my car to go inside. This has happened twice. Both times only one person was working, and no, it wasn't busy. Not to mention my sandwich was made horribly. Employee even repeated my order back to me and still made it wrong. I've ordered from here before and everything was fine, but my most recent order was pretty disappointing. I ordered and got a call from the delivery driver saying he had arrived, but when I opened my door there was no one there. Ten minutes later I got a call from the manager saying that the delivery driver had returned since I didn't answer my door or my phone apparently, even though I did at least pick up the phone. The delivery driver was sent back out again, and he called again saying he was here. After we talked he realized he had gone to the wrong address, and after a half hour I got my order. To be honest, I had thought this whole mistake was my fault and that maybe I had typed my address wrong- until I saw my receipt. Turns out my address was right all along. In the end, my sandwich arrived probably a half hour late and was kind of soggy. I probably wouldn't order delivery from here again. read more

A one-mile delivery radius and extremely slow delivery makes this Jimmy Johns a pretty big disappointment. I live a five minute drive away but somehow I am outside of their delivery radius... completely ridiculous. Even when I'm within their range delivery takes a very long time. The employees are usually unpleasant to deal with. I waited in the drive-thru for five minutes once and eventually had to walk in to place an order because no one was paying attention. Will probably be ordering from the many restaurants in this town that will actually deliver to all of Dekalb from now on. read more
