This location was super convenient, it was a short walk across the lot from the hotel I was at. The team was super friendly and made my sandwich in split seconds. I don't know if they changed ownership or what but my last few orders here have not gone well. It seems like this location only stocks itself well enough to get through the "lunch rush" because any order placed after 2 PM will inevitably result in their being out of at least one of the things on your order. I would like to start by stating usually this Jimmy John's in Burlington WA has been fantastic over the years and I have been ordering the same #9 Italian Night Club at least twice each month, one time I'll have it delivered and couple weeks later I'll mobile order & pick it up. Never had a problem before, best sub and best employees ever, I no longer go to other sub shops. Therefore, I know this time I must have done something wrong and I am not angry just concerned what it might have been that I screwed up. At 4 PM I happen to be driving by and decided pull in order my favorite sandwich and take it home. I made the mobile order one regular Italian club, $9.49 plus tax, paid on line, walked into shop and waited by the pick up counter. I held $2 in my hand as tip, one employee, possibly Mgr looked at me & asked if I had a pickup , I said yes, mobile order, he then said, oh yes you've already paid its being made now. He smiled broadly and said quite loudly "I'll take that wonderful tip from you." At first I thought he was being sarcastic by tone of voice adding 'wonderful tip', so I thought maybe I'm being cheap on $10 sandwich I'm picking up myself. When employee had finished my sandwich he wrapped and hand it to me no bag, no napkins no comment that I could detect. I left thinking to myself I've done something wrong that I'm not aware of because two employees reacting to me as if some cheap old man wasting our time. I've never not received a bag or napkins and a request if I want pickle or peppers. So as they say, this was noticeably odd to me. When I got home I unwrapped the sandwich to discover for the first time ever in all the Italian Clubs I've ordered this sandwich was covered in oil, maybe olive oil but lots of oil, paper was soak, bread was covered in slippery oil. I could not pick up the sandwich without oil dripping. Please tell me what it is I did wrong. I've always thought I was fairly generous with $3 or $4 tip for delivery plus your delivery charge or when I pick it up myself I usually tip $2. Is that considered cheap today if so I apologize. But surely something is wrong since this have never happened before. read more

You know, for a sub shop with delivery service, there's not a lot to complain about except the "delivery charge" that has jumped up to $4 per order. I have no idea what that charge is going toward. The pro? The drivers are fast. One of their drivers gives a little "bonus" as a thank you for their services in the form of a little candy packet. Normal Jimmy Johns but I recently discovered the Jimmy it up option. Shazammm. Makes the sub even better. Onions, sauce, peppers and oregano- basil I'll never get a non Jimmy'd up sub again. This location is like the others. Clean and well lit. The employees are enthusiastic and they get your sub out fast. The inside was a little cold but it's 28 degrees outside and the door is opening up every couple minutes. They have some fans on moving sir around too. Might be a poor choice. Just got off the phone with the 'manager' (Kaitlyn, not sure on spelling...) of Jimmy Johns Burlington, who argued with me about whether or not our sandwiches have avocado, that we paid for, on them. Only way they could do anything is if I loaded my 4 month old child into my car, and drove half hour each way, to SHOW them that there was no avocado. That wasn't the only thing incorrect, but was the only thing we paid for (paid to add avocado to both sandwiches, neither had it, one sandwich was supposed to have peppers, both had peopers, both sandwiches were to be cut in half, only one was cut in half...) We'll be waiting for the Anacortes location to open I guess. rude excuse for customer service! My brother and I were out shopping and decided to try something different for lunch. Neither of us had been to Jimmy Johns, but we had heard some good things. When we walked in, the joint was empty. That should have been our first warning. My wife had asked us to get her a turkey sandwich with American cheese, so that's what I ordered. "We don't have American cheese." " Ok. How about Swiss?" "We only have Provolone." "Really! Ok, Provolone. What kind of soup do you have?" "We don't have soup." (Big sigh). "Alright then, no soup. I also need a roast Beef sandwich. Could you add horse radish to that?" "We don't have horse radish." My brother ordered after that. Then we waited, and waited. There were three guys behind the counter and no other customers and no call-in orders, so I have no idea why it took so long. At checkout, the employee handed me the three sandwiches. I asked for a bag, and he pointed to a pile of bags and said, "There they are, right there." Same with the napkins. So the end result? They don't listen when you tell them the roast beef tastes rancid, and ask them if they tasted it but they look confused and don't answer or say two words. This place is a pretty good place to get delivery from if you are looking for something fast and a little bit healthier than pizza. Their sandwiches aren't as good as Subway or Quiznos in my opinion but they are alright. I tried their turkey sandwich and it seemed a little bit plain but I'm sure if I would have known how it was going to turn out I could have ordered something a little different. I do plan on ordering from them in the future. They delivered within 15 minutes of calling to order two sandwiches so we were pretty pleased about the timing. The delivery driver was somewhat pleasent and smiled but said almost nothing at all as he handed us our food. As always JJ's is always a good choice for a good easy to eat sandwich. I much prefer the Italian Night Club, with Hot Peppers. ALWAYS add hot peppers to any sandwich, it's worth it! My wife loves them to an obsessive level! The reason for the 4 stars though is this location seems to be a bit slower than most. I have eaten tons of JJ's due to my type of work and while it normally takes 5-10 min to get a sandwich this location a lot of times is closer to 20ish min. I have had the manager call on occasion saying sorry but we are short handed and we will get it to you asap, which I do greatly appreciate. However so much for their "freaky fast" slogan. The people are friendly. The restaurant is clean. My only experiences were both BLTs, which I did not enjoy. The bread is very tough and chewy. The contents were sparse for the price. I paid $7 for a sandwich that is much smaller than a Subway foot long, and has way less inside. I don't really think I should pay so much for a sandwich that can hide all of its contents inside the bun. Also, they have only that one choice of bread in a long bun. White tough chewiness. If you want wheat, you receive a sandwich with sliced bread that tastes like the cheapest they could find at a grocery store. Home delivery can't make up for a bad product.
