Dr.Doan takes time and patience with every one that comes into his clinic. He has been my doctor for many years and was my mother's doctor. I recommend him to my coworkers and my neighbors all the time. his nurse is amazing. He's always busy, but always has a caring smile. read more

My entire family has gone to Dr. Doan (my parents, myself, my husband, our 2 kids) for over 20 yrs. He manages to remember everyone's name, all our medical issues, and even all the meds we currently take. Dr. Doan's attention to detail makes me feel like I'm getting concierge medicine. I just hope this man NEVER retires. read more

Only come here if you have 2-3 hours to waste. To start, Dr Doan is a lovely Dr who care about his patient and deserves 5 stars, he is compassionate and caring. HOWEVER. You should expect to spend two hours here. His receptionists spend more time chatting and drinking coffee than actually helping you. They will not call in scripts so you must got there and wait with a room packed full of other frustrated people, he is grossly understaffed or worse, his employees are apathetic and do not work to help you. Also! You must wait in one waiting room FIRST, then you're told to go to ANOTHER waiting room to wait more. I'm not exaggerating. The inefficiency of this place is appalling. Again, Dr Doan is amazing, but the rest of the office does not care about your needs. Oh, and I'm still in the waiting room! read more

Dr Jimmy Doan is one of the best Drs I have ever seen. He took the time to talk to me and I did not feel like just a number. He explained my medical condition with hand drawn diagrams and was so knowledgeable. Dr Doan did not rush me as I asked as many questions as I wanted. He also adjusted my medicine lists so that I was more organized. He also wrote prescriptions for the generic brands to save me money. Most Doctors don't take the time to do this. Dr Doan is both a pediatrician and an internist so my whole family goes to him. I couldn't rank him more than 5 stars because I would give him 10. read more

Dr. Doan is a very attentive Dr who actually spends time to talk to and listen to you. He doesn't just hand out pills, he tries to correct the issue. However, as several others have pointed out, his staff is lacking. I made an appointment for 9 am and was not checked-in by the staff until after 9:30. There is no reason for that. If the office opens at 9 am, they should be there and be ready to see patients by 9 am. They are in a temporary location due to flood damage from Hurricane Harvey. That is the reason you check-in in one reception area then go to another reception area to wait to see the Dr. Hopefully they will be in new offices soon. read more

Don't bother coming here. They get everything wrong. They don't send your meds in, until the end of the day .. so if there is an issue you have to wait till the following day to confirm it's completed correctly ... guess what happens if they don't get it right... You wait till the next day to see if they got it right that time. There were two times they forgot about me ( during the "wait in your car" times ) literally set there for 4-6 hours waiting to be seen only to call them 10 minutes before closing and the rushed me through. Because THEY can't get medical billing done right , they now charge you for any UAs that need to be completed by regulations. .. so now you pay extra because again they can't do their job properly. And ohhhh did I mention the time I went in and every single patient was recommended and received allergy testing ... the literally took the test cart from room to room ... to me that sounds like insurance racking. Providing a lot of unnecessary service to make the clinic money... I use to work for a doctor .. I know better smh. They fight you on completing any insurance forms, WONT DO ANY PRE AUTHORIZATIONS, and make you question alot about their standards and practices. Conclusions : I'm already looking for a new doctor , just was hoping they'd get their stuff together and not force me to get a new doctor but whatever it's better than hating my doctor visits. read more

I don't normally do this review thing but considering the fact that this is a Doctor's office where you should always feel comfortable and where the patient should always come first I have to share our terrible experience. This is not the first time we have issues trying to see or get a hold of Dr. Doan but I had brushed it off because I understand when someone is busy and I hate entitlement (meaning that I know that the doctor has many patients) Let me also explain that I am not the patient, my spouse is but I have been there with her twice to experience the terrible customer service and she is too nice and refuses to write a negative review. My first problem is the fact that they schedule appointments and once you make it in you have to wait 1,2..... probably 3 hrs for some patients. Once they put you in an examination room you have to wait again to be seen. Yesterday, we sat in the room for at least another hour while we could hear the doctor helping other patients. Understandable, right? Yes, until we hear nothing but silence and we decide to come out and ask when we will be seen, only to get as a response that the Doctor is in a meeting with another doctor (By now it is close to 1 in the afternoon and we have been there since 9.30AM) After this short answer with no other explanation we told the nurse that we would be leaving because we had been waiting too long and his response was a quick and simple "ok". He didn't ask if we wanted to reschedule or anything he just let us leave. I don't want to write a book here, to make the story short we called the clinic back after leaving and the person that answered said that the doctor was triple booked and that it was his first day back from Christmas break. No apologies, not a care in the world. Today she went to collect a refund for her copay and after waiting again because the receptionist's window has a sign that says " no tapping" and even though they can see people waiting they just refuse to open the window and ask if you need help she was greeted by the same nurse with a "WASSUP"? I am just going to end it here, I could go on and on about being put on hold and waiting weeks for prescriptions and never being able to get a hold of the Doctor. Dr. Doan, if you ever read this I hope you reconsider some of the staff that you have in your office I feel like they keep you from what is gong on with your patients and eventually people will get tired not only of the waiting but also of the attitude and lack of etiquette. Don't ever let them greet a patient with a "wassup" again. read more

Doctor Doan has been my doctor for over 10 years. He is a great doctor who spends a lot of time on his patients and very attentive. This unfortunately leads to occasional long waits in the waiting room. His staff on the other hand is lacking. Often rude and inattentive. They are more concerned about get your deductible than tending to your needs. If you are looking for a good doctor and can stand waiting for 3 hours in the waiting room, and can put up with his rude staff. This is your guy. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Doan's for a few years before I moved away. I was looking up his phone number and I'm honestly shocked at the poor reviews. I feel compelled to give my honest 2 cents. First of all, Dr. Doan is the best PCP you'll find ANYWHERE. I've been to a lot of doctors across various states and countries and if I had the money I would rather fly to Houston, wait 3 hours to see him vs anyone else. First of all, if anyone wants a doctor who will spend time to converse and figure out what's really wrong, Jimmy Doan is that guy. If you're complaining about walk-ins, buddy, I just wish you the best of luck finding ANY good doctor who would take you in same day you're sick so long as you're willing to wait. Illnesses are unplanned and doctors don't usually like to take walk ins. He does it because he gives a damn about sick ppl. So yeah, there's a wait, but you can also just as easily walk into an urgent care or a minute clinic where you'll get the wrong diagnosis and the wrong drugs just to circle back to square 1 and do it over again. Dr. Doan is thorough, he gets it right the first time, and he LISTENS. You're going to find that good doctors are worth waiting for, and you're waiting because he spends his day putting out fires, not playing cards. He will take his time with you when it's your turn too. There's a reason his clinic is THAT busy, he's THAT good. read more

He is a great doctor, that listens to your symptoms and then tries to diagnose. A very wise doctor once told me, "A patient knows what they have, they just don't know the medical term or what to take for it". Dr Doan is one of those doctors, and lives by that practice. Yes, there is a wait. The past couple of times I have seen him, it has improved. But honestly, I would rather be sick and wait for a good doctor to see me the same day than be treated like a drive thru and not properly seen or diagnosed. I've moved 30mins away, and have a baby. And I still go to see him, knowing there could be a wait. I just go prepared. read more

Do not waste your time on this doctor. When you have an appointment, be sure to take at least 3 hours before being seen. Also, I have called over the course of this month concerning my medications and still cannot get a call back. I had blood work taken in December, so that my prescriptions could be renewed for another year. As of my fourth message left, I am out of two of my prescriptions and have not received even one phone call back. Very unprofessional. To top it all off, I had already meet my deductible for the year, he insisted I make a $90 payment or they would not draw my blood. Guess what? My insurance paid 100%, and I have yet to get my money back. Same yourself some headaches and see someone else. read more

I was referred to Dr. Doan by a nurse at a previous Doctors office that I was unhappy with at the time. I decided to give it an opportunity as I was nearing 270 lbs no matter how much of a calorie deficit I was following, I was slowly recovering from PPD, and just feeling unhealthy and unhappy! My first visit was early October, I didn't know what to expect as I am generally uncomfortable in medical settings especially when my own health is in question, the ladies at the front desk are super sweet and always attentive and the office manager/nurse goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and heard. Let me follow up with stating that this is not a Doctors office you go to in a rush, not because they don't consider your time ... but because Dr. Doan is extremely detailed and diligent when it comes to the care of his patients and I wouldn't have it any other way! I've been to Doctors offices in many places in the United States and I have to say that I've never felt so comfortable and safe with my care. When Dr. Doan suggests things, I understand that he has not only done the testing on me to support those suggestions but he has also studied the results of those tests, and my medical history. I am now 53 lbs lighter since being under his care for weight loss under close observation and I am starting to feel like myself again for the first time in a long time. Dr. Doan and his staff are exceptional and I think healthcare would be amazing in the U.S if there were more providers like him. read more

I just moved to Webster recently and had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Doan for my health issues. I was surprised to see the low grade on yelp because he is one of the best doctors I've ever been to. Yes, sometimes that means there will be a wait. Why? Because things happen, and its not always a quick easy visit. Sometimes doctors need to take their time to explain things to patients and answer all their questions. Dr. Doan takes his time and is attentive to your needs. Some days, there are times when a lot of people are sick and doctors try to open their schedule to help everyone the best they can. That means you wait a little so no child or mother or grandmother has to be turned away. Dr. Doan is a great doc, anyone that has seen him will know. As for the other guy's comments about staff collecting copay, are you surprised you have to pay to see the doctor? Nobody complains about the cashier collecting your money when you're at the grocery store. The job of his staff is to schedule appointments and deal with insurance. Saying they're rude for collecting money is just unreasonable. read more

The whole staff is friendly & great at their jobs. They are all professional & at the same time, down to Earth. You can have office visits or if needed & possible, phone visits. Each visit is always thorough, informative, & personable. Highly individualized. It ALWAYS starts with a smile & a genuine handshake. I like that. We always get all our questions answered & he goes the extra mile & checks the overall health with blood tests & ultrasounds once a year. Great for illness prevention. He always knows what to do if & when we've been ill. ZIP-BAM-BOOM!! No question is silly. It's easy for us, as patients, to understand & create a plan of action, if a problem should ever arise. Things like thyroid, sugar, blood pressure, blockages, size of organs, etc are reviewed once a year. The only draw back may be the wait time of each visit. It is very understandable. His office is busy & though the visit itself is quick & down to business, he is thorough. ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE WAIT & THE VISIT. Thank you Dr Doan & thank you Wi & the whole staff. Dr. Doan is one of those rare doctors who truly takes the time to listen, no matter how long your list of concerns is. Even if I've already mentioned a dozen things, he remains patient, thoughtful, and genuinely focused on figuring out how to help. Whether it's something significant or just a migraine, he never brushes anything off. The entire staff is great, but I want to give special praise to the medical assistant. He really knows what he's doing. I usually dread needles, but somehow he makes them hurt a lot less, even though it's still a needle. On top of that, the atmosphere in the office is light and friendly. Everyone is not only professional but also caring and funny, which makes a big difference when you're not feeling your best. Dr. Doan has taken superb care of my entire family for over 2 decades. We so appreciate his patience and compassion. I've never seen a doctor take so much time to explain in detail every medication (dose, frequency, potential side effects). He's helped me lose 65 lbs and my wife 34 lbs with his weight loss program. He instilled a lifestyle change that we have adopted (better diet choices, more exercise); so we are not just dependent on meds to be healthier. Although I am leaving the Houston area, I plan on keeping him as my doctor! read more

I recently made a switch to Dr. Zamora after my long-time Family Practice physician retired. I wasn't happy with who bought his practice so I started looking. Dr. Zamora does accept a wide range of health insurances. Of course, you need to call first and see if he accepts yours. I am not old enough to be on Medicare but I think he accepts it as well. The first time I came into see Dr. Zamora was for a physical. He did a very good job asking about my family history across many disease states. He covered it from head to toe. I was very pleased with him and the time he took to get to know my history. The second time I went to this office was because I was sick. Dr. Zamora has two PA's that help with his patient load. When I am sick, I just want to be seen. I really don't care if it is by him or by his Physician Assistant. I don't want to wait two days for an opening when I wake up sick. I want to be seen as soon as possible. That is what they did when I called early on a weekday. I told them I was sick and really needed to get in to see him or one of the PA's. Boom! I got in on the same day I called. As a matter of fact, it was within three hours of my phone call. As it turned out, it was a bacterial infection and I did need an antibiotic. I was pleased with the treatment I received. Bottom Line: Dr. Zamora is friendly and has good bedside manor. My personal experience has been very good when I am sick and need to be seen ASAP. I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Zamora for your family.
