Who ACTUALLY likes going to the dentist?!?!…read more I, for one, have always HATED going to the dentist!!! I try to avoid going as much as I possibly can. BUT... My parents have always taught me... give credit... where credit is due... And let me tell ya'll... Dr. Pattni at Pasadental in Pasadena, TX is deserving of all credit, with how amazing of a dentist he is... he truly makes you feel like if you are family. As if he is taking care of one of his own family members. He's so detailed in everything, explaining everything that is going to be done and even as he's working on you, he's letting you know what is being done, what you might feel, what is next... it truly shows that he cares for you as his patient. And it's not even JUST Dr. Pattni... himself... but his entire staff... From the moment you step foot into the office... you are greeted with a warm and welcoming hello and smile... you see that receptionist's smile and you're like... "okay gurl... I see you... I want that kind of smile too... I must be at the right place..." hahaha Oh yeah... before I forget... a BIG thing about me is, how long do you have to wait when you already have an appointment set. Both times I've been there, I haven't had to wait more than 5 mins before they are calling my name. I thought that was a thing of the past... because it seems like you always have to wait at least 30 to 45 mins after your appointment time to actually be seen. But nope... not at Pasadental... at least not in my experiences. I've walked in, signed in, and was in a dental chair within 10 mins or so. That alone makes my day. As soon as you sit down, the nurse (if I'm not saying that correctly, I'm sorry...) but she starts to get you ready instantly and is asking you... how do you feel? Would you like the remote to watch TV (another WOW factor... I almost watched half a Netflix movie getting my procedure done... LOVE IT!!!), would you like a blanket... believe me when I tell you... it doesn't feel like a dentist visit... it's more of a zen spa feel... and then oh yeah by the way, we'll be drilling into your teeth and giving you a beautiful smile at the same time. What more could you ask for?!?! So I'll leave you all with this... If you're looking for a dentist that isn't just going to make you feel like another number in the books... but instead make you feel as though a family member is about to work on their favorite cousin's or uncle's teeth, then Dr. Pattni and his staff at Pasadental is the team you're looking for. Hands down one of the BEST EXPERIENCES I've EVER had at a dental office and I can't wait to go back. And no I'm not sharing a picture of my smile because half my face is still number from the fillings I had to get... The entire process was completely painless, which made what could have been a stressful situation so much easier. Due to COVID, I had to wait outside in my car while it was raining and complete the check in. Unfortunately, no instructions were given on how to use the laptop. I figured it out but and an elderly or computer illiterate person would have difficulty navigating the screens. I was not called back in to wait once the lobby emptied. I gave it two stars because the front desk receptionist was nice. Cleanliness: After returning my laptop I was able to wait in the lobby. The decor was modern and up to date. My family and I have been going to Dr. Hatcher for years now, I'm talking 8+ years and they are the sweetest people you will ever meet. They treat you like family and do the best work around. I haven't had any major surgeries but my parents have and every time has been a success. I go in every 6 months for a teeth cleaning and that's a perfect schedule to keep your teeth looking good and healthy. If you are in need of a good dentist please give Dr. Hatcher a visit and they will take great care of you. They said i needed a tooth pulled and a bridge, I agreed and signed the contract, paid for and had the service performed. Was treated like royalty each time i walked in after that. They said i needed another tooth pulled and my bridge updated. I declined that proceedure on two of my cleaning visits. Next thing you know my appointments are not with Dr Louie anymore as I requsted. Some other hygenist or Dr took over and my cleanings went to crap. I can only imagine its because i kept refusing to have that loose tooth pulled. Fast forward to my last cleaning in 8/25 and I saw yet a different Dr again and was told by the hygenist that he couldnt clean my front teeth because he was afraid my might pull my tooth out with the scraper. Wow, really? Was he really afraid the tooth would come out or was he just afraid he couldn't charge for and extraction if it did. I was already impressed by their professionalism and courtesy toward me, but when I took my son there, I was completely sold on them. He is a high functioning autistic and gets nervous around strangers. He is especially agitated when they try to touch him. From the very first visit their kindness and gentleness relaxed him enough to finish the exam. He started going there about 8 years ago and soon he didn't get the least bit nervous when he went to his cleanings. Dental health is a big part of overall health, so getting him to the dentist regularly is just a necessity. They make that easy.

For all you first timers, this office is located inside the big building that has the big sign Texas Bank. I thought I was in the wrong place and called in to verify if GPS took me to the right one. GPS was right and they're on the 2nd floor, right past the pediatric office. I got a call the day before from their office personnel explaining my benefits (how much insurance is paying and how much is my out-of-pocket). I was scheduled for a later time in the afternoon, but since they have an opening at 11 am, the nice lady asked if I would like to take the 11 am spot. Of course, i gladly took it. It didn't take long after I filled out the forms to being ushered inside. The dental assistant, Jodi took very good care of me. She has a cheerful personality that made me feel at ease. I hate dental visits but somehow she made feel like there's nothing to worry about. Dr. Mike did my root canal and he was very thorough and careful. It's an overall great experience for me. I'm glad I was referred here by my dentist!
