We only use Arkie Rogers Septic Service, Inc. Fast service with zero hassle at a reasonable price…read more No muss and no fuss. We also had them come out and perform inspection marking lines before we had excavation done for a new garage and drive. Friendly and professional, they always get us on schedule ASAP and got it done!

I live in North Yarmouth and experienced my pump alarm…read moregoing off with some "stinky" flooding occurring in my basement, of course it was at night (aren't all plumbing problems at night when everyone is closed) plus, it was a Saturday night to boot. I called the next day on Sunday and left a message on their recorder, someone did called me back that day, who ever I spoke with told me that they would be able to come on Monday. Sure it was inconvenient for us to have to use the SuperMarket 2 miles away for our more urgent needs and we ate out, you don't know how much you miss running water or flushing until you don't have it! Anyway, the Arky guys came and pumped out the septic and replaced the filter on the pump, the young man said it was most likely caused by the gunked up filter, I asked if we should have the septic pumped more often, at that time we had lived here for 4 years, so I knew it had been pumped at the time of the sale. But he told me that what I really needed was the have the filter replaced every 6 months because of the configuration of the pipe from the basement to the septic, so I follow the instructions and keep a heathy septic and replace the filter every six months, they come automatically and do it. The problem is solved and the service and price is good. They did tell me that for just two people and keeping the septic healthy you should be able to go for several years without pumping the tank.

Do not do business with this company! They have terrible communication and shoddy workmanship. My…read morehusband and I contracted with Ken Morrell in Sept 2019 to replace our septic system on our seasonal cottage in Maine. Included in the agreement was putting down erosion control after the system was installed. I had to bug him about getting a signed agreement-should have been a warning sign right there. Ken said that the work would probably get done before winter and if not, in the spring. He suddenly started doing the work in February when the place was closed for the season. I only found out because he cashed the first payment check and I contacted him to find out what was going on. When we met him at the property in Feb to give him the final payment we discovered that they had cut our surface water supply line. He assured me that they would fix it before the we opened the place in May. I followed up with him several times and he kept saying it would get fixed. We got up there mid May and it was still not fixed (couldn't use the house because we had no water) and we discovered that they had left our property a mess! Many large holes on the hill going down to our house and where they installed the system (even at the top no where near the septic system/ leach field). One hole was about 2 feet deep. They had moved our boat from where it was parked- we had expected this but they never moved it back. The terrain problems weren't visible in Feb because the ground was frozen and still had snow cover. I left Ken a message-no response. And no response to several other emails, texts and voice messages I left asking him to call me so we could discuss our concerns. My husband wound up repairing the water line himself and we hired someone for over $1000 to move the erosion control material, bring in material to repair the holes, pack down the soil and move the erosion material back. I lodged a complaint and started the mediation process with the state of Maine and found out he had 2 other similar complaints in the last year or so that he had never responded to and big surprise-the mediator couldn't get a response from him on our case either. We've hired many contractors over the years and have never dealt with such an unprofessional, unresponsive and sloppy company. Save yourself some headaches and money and stay away from them
