Phenomenal experience at Jim n Nick's BBQ! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The complimentary cheese muffins were such a delicious surprise--warm, cheesy, and absolutely addictive. We kicked things off with the deviled eggs, and they were packed with flavor. For our main meal, we had the 3-meat platter with jalapeño cheddar sausage, turkey, and Carolina pork (vinegar style). Every meat was cooked perfectly and full of incredible flavor. The collard greens were seasoned just right, and the mac n cheese was creamy, cheesy comfort in a bowl. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Jim n Nick's BBQ is a must-visit if you want fabulous food and an unforgettable dining experience!

Ate here recently with a friend. We both selected the pork plate with 2 sides. The pork was a little fatty, but I really enjoyed my sides, Mac & cheese and baked beans. Prob my fave thing were the cheddar biscuits!

I have eaten here and take out. Take-out is very easy and the line moves almost as fast at Chick Fil A. Sweet tea is always good and fresh and BBQ Chicken was cooked perfect. I love the outside patio area when the weather is nice. TVs available and caught a Tennessee baseball game last week. Brisket and brisket chili is excellent. Warm corn muffins to the table as you wait on food. But food never takes much time here. The only reason I didn't do 5 starts is I am just not a big fan of their sauce. The original is OK. Just not the style I prefer. However, the meats are great. Some days I order takeout and take home and use my favorite BBQ sauces and get a 5 star meal at home. If you are not a fan of their sauce, order what you want without sauce and take it home, you will not be disappointed.

Barbecue Chicken Sandwich with a side of white sauce

First time I went I ordered a barbecue chicken sandwich with white sauce (a nearby Alabama favorite). The chicken was slimy and seemed a bit undercooked, which made me feel uncomfortable about going back. However I went back and tried the spare ribs and was much more satisfied. In fact the rub and char was so good it didn't even need the barbecue sauce. The sides of Mac and cheese and fries were fine on both trips however the real star was the service. While Jim N Nicks is an order at the counter kind of place, we had at least 5 or 6 people come by our table asking if we needed anything. Oh and their cheese biscuits are pretty good too. The service along with the rub on the ribs saved me from not coming back, so Jim N Nick's is solid but not my favorite barbecue around.

Enjoyed a combo plate of Ribs and brisket - wow the most awesome ribs!!! Enjoyed sides of baked beans and potato salad and of course the complimentary cheese biscuits. Jim 'N Nick's never disappoints!!

Best BBQ I've had since visiting Raleigh, Nc 10/10 Amazing people and great vibes. Brisket chili was amazing.

It's a chain BBQ place, but I liked it - I really liked it. It's a 10/10 as far as Knoxville BBQ goes, 7/10 for BBQ overall - and it's a chain... I don't know how I feel about that. Place was packed, in line with a group of 8 people and a kind worker set aside a table for our group. Order at the front and get a number, food is brought to your table. Food came out in 10 minutes, every seat was full including the outside heated (warm) patio. Before the food comes out they bring out a tray of "cheese biscuits" they are more like muffins, slightly sweet with a sweet butter - they were alright. Mac & Cheese was solid, I'm not a Mac & cheese fan but this one was pretty good with a cheese crust. Collard greens on point, potato salad was meh - take it or leave it. The regular pulled pork was good juicy - not dry, as was the chicken. The marbled fatty brisket was moist, tender and what I was hoping to find. Servers even came around and filled up our sodas - it's not a table service waiter kind of place so that was nice. Great experience my first time out and I'll be back.

Delicious BBQ in Knoxville. Lots of choices. We love they don't have freezers and everything is fresh. The line was out the door but moved fast. We started with the Deviled Eggs - which were delicious. My son had the loaded Mac & Cheese. He loved it. It doesn't come with sides though. My husband had the 3 meat plate with: sausage, ribs and brisket. His sides were loaded baked potato and onion rings. He was stuffed. I had the 2 meat plate with pulled chicken & pork with coleslaw and Mac & cheese. All delicious. The banana pudding was like grandma used to make. The General Manger was checking on everyone. Restaurant was clean even though it was so busy. We a very enjoyable dinner!

Really really good experience. Quick service, delicious food, free incredible little warm cheese muffins. The manager came to thank us at our table, which was very appreciative. The restaurant is big and clean. We will absolutely be back! Get the ribs or brisket!

I have to say, it's been a while since I left a restaurant feeling good not only about the food (fabulous by the way) but also the interactions with the staff! First impressions: you gotta love a BBQ joint that smells like a BBQ joint! Very clean and inviting. The moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and happily by Spencer. He talked us through the menu, as it was our first time, made a few recommendations and then since there wasn't a line behind us had a really nice chat with us. Servers came several times to our table, and each was friendly, helpful and attentive. BUT THE FOOD oh yes!!! Delicious. I got the smoked turkey with slaw and potato salad. Hubby got the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and fried. We shared the brisket mac & Cheese balls. THAT SMOKED TURKEY - friends, my eyes about rolled back in my head it was so good. Moist and just the perfect about of smoke so you tasted the smoke but still tasted the turkey. Portion size was great too. Plenty for leftovers the next day. Hubby loved his sandwich so much there were no leftovers!! Do yourself a favor and order those brisket mac & cheese balls too. We don't get up to Knoxville often but when we do this will be our go to spot! Can't wait for the Maryville spot to open. We will be regulars

Service was fast and friendly, nice interior and great location. Food was pretty good and warm, the cheddar biscuits is what stands out the most so that is why i'm giving this only 4 stars

First of all, be prepared to search for parking but I found a parking garage about a block away. I walked in and was greeted by a very friendly bartender who made a good bit of conversation with me. I appreciated that and he recommended the wings. I wish I had taken him up on the wings. More on that in a moment. I felt like pulled pork though so I went with the sandwich and Chipotle mac and cheese. The pulled pork was tender, seasoned well, and went well with all the sauces. I never had Chipotle mac and cheese as it was a little spicy but oh so creamy and cheesy! There are 4 sauces - 3 on the table that are tomato base (mild, Chipotle, and Habanero) and the Alabama white you have to request. The Alabama White was my favorite as it was very black peppery. And that is why I should have taken the bartender up on the wings because that sauce with the wings would have been amazing. The other 3 sauces were thick and rich. My sweet tea was refreshingly sweet! Very good BBQ overall though it is limited and pricey and worth a visit to downtown Knoxville.

We had heard of this place for a while and wanted to check it out and we're so glad we did. The food and service were amazing. Walking in it's a narrow restaurant, that has a bar on one side and tables on the other with kinda a rustic feel to it. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken. Since we hadn't been there before we got water and then pursued the menu a little for drinks. I had a question between two drinks and the server was very good at describing the drinks and ultimately decided to try the Darryl Strawberry, while my husband got the Nor'easter. The drinks came out and they were really good. They weren't overly strong, you could taste the bourbon in each of them, but it wasn't overpowering. For food we got the OPA! to start and then the Billy for me and the Mother Clucker for him. The OPA was awesome. It's pan seared feta with honey and served with fresh bread. The honey added a little extra sweetness to the feta which went really nicely with the crusty bread. The Billy had goat cheese, bacon, onions and, a tomato jam on it. It was delicious. The creamy goat cheese with the bacon and smokey tomato jam all went amazingly together. I got onion rings as my side, which were crunchy hot and so so good. The Mother Clucker was also really good. I only had a bite of it to try, but was definitely impressed. My husband upgraded to the duck fat fries which were out of this world. Super crunchy, great flavor. Our server kept checking back on us the whole time making sure we were satisfied with our drinks and food, but we had absolutely no complaints. This is a great place for a date if you want good food or to hang out with friends. We will definitely be back.

I especially want to try the pork belly bites, but those are only on Fridays. I ordered the most popular dish, the gomer. I asked what the freshest meat was because the reviews varied. Many stated that there was a lot of dry meats, others report tender and perfect. My suggestion if you don't want to be disappointed is to ask what is the freshest for that moment in time. Pork was it today and it was delicious. I think next time I would rather get the meat plate as all the sides piled onto the pork was a bit over the top for me. I wanted to taste each item they have separately, but it was challenging being piled together. But that is what I get for picking the popular item and not what I think I would enjoy more. Gomer was $12. I see the cost has gone from $10, then $11 and now $12. I would not be willing to pay more than $12 but I understand the cost of food has gone up. Curious why the nacho is $16. If I understand correctly it is just the gomer with chips and cheese. I don't think that is worth $4 more. Maybe the quantity is more too??? Overall, I am happy with my first trip to Lloyd's and looking forward to pork belly bites in my future.
