Outstanding dealership with excellent customer service!

We shopped the competition before we arrived at Jim Murphy. Been purchasing new cars for over 50 years so we had a lot of experience with the process. Our sales professional was Phil Sigioun. He definitely added value to the brand. He was able to discount the price of the new car and he also got us a top trade in allowance for our car. He offered 0.9% financing as another option which closed the deal. Phil spent a lot of time orientating us to the new car and also introduced us to the service department. Highly recommend this dealership based upon our extremely positive experience.

They fixed my transmission 3x in a matter of 6 or 7 months ... so it's just a matter of time before it breaks again

I had no intention of getting into something new now but after test driving and making sure it worked within my budget, that's what happened. I ended up in a new lease for only a couple dollars more a month in something that was a little bit bigger for the family but also more efficient. I am looking at my past review from here and I am writing this one week short of two years since my last review, which makes sense! After excellent service here for my last two cars, I will be going back to the same salesman at Joe Basil for my next car too.

When I texted the salesman to get a final total for the bank check I got a number way out of whack from my purchase price. I asked if this included my down payment and he says no , just take a thousand off that. Ah, no. That still left me way above where we were suppose to be. I literally had to sit down and do the math myself. He did not know Erie county sales tax and actually asked me which I found strange. I sent him the correct math and asked for an itemized bill so I could see the exacts amounts. He actually hand wrote it on a piece of paper in pen , took a picture of it and texted it to me? This is suppose to be a professional organization? It seemed to me they had zero clue what was going on. Come to find out my salesman was actually out of town. Somebody was handed this deal who had no clue what was going on. It is the companies or salesman's responsibility to make sure who the deal is being handed to has a clue what is going on. The whole thing totally turned me off. It was so unprofessional I lost total trust in the deal and backed out. It's a shame because I did want the car but me being the customer had to basically spoon feed the deal to them ? Once I am working that hard to make something happen I'm done. I'm the one spending the money. Just a total disappointment and I will not be returning. I'll buy a car elsewhere .

Willing to be patience and reasonable in my selection based on my credit and income. I was transparent about my income and requested approval be verified first before I even began looking for a vehicle. I was told I was approved after filling out the application and that included the verification of income, I was provided a 2022 ford escape and put a down payment down when I was asked to by Scott. Drove off into the sunset. Never once was told there could be issues with the lender nearly a month after I purchased the vehicle. I was told abruptly with no warning my income wasn't completely verifiable? I sent atleast 15 different documents of financial statements and a detailed employment summary from my boss and suddenly, now I'm not allowed to keep my vehicle unless I give them an additional $3,000. I opted to get into a cheaper vehicle and was told I still needed $3,000 more? Seems like a complete scam. I LOST $1,500 in insurance costs because I had the vehicle insured beyond the refund policy. Galaxyauto took no responsibility for that. I am the provider in my household and now I am likely out of both of my jobs due to galaxyautos inability to be transparent and communicate effectively about the buying process and what the risks were or that my income may not have been acceptable for whatever scammy reason. This company is taking advantage of every person that walks through those doors unless they have half the total cost of the vehicle down as payment or an 839 credit score, so their job is easier. Do not waste your time being played by this shady company.

A while back, the battery for my clicker to lock and unlock my door died, so I was manually locking and unlocking my doors the old school way, no big deal. But, recently, I had an issue with the manual lock where it would no longer unlock with the key. I needed to call roadside assistance to get in my car. That same day, I booked an appointment at West Herr Toyota in Williamsville for the following week. (The event happened on a Friday, and I got a Tuesday appointment!) I went online and they had an appointment that was after work hours that fit perfectly into my schedule. I arrived early to my appointment and Doug started on my car immediately. Timing here is important... I pulled up at 6:33pm for my 6:40pm appointment. My car was done and I was cashed out by 6:41pm!!! Now, of course not every appointment for your car is going to be as seamless as this, but Doug knew what he was doing! He fixed my door lock and put new batteries in my clicker and it was only $8.65 for the service and only 8 minutes of my evening. I was thoroughly impressed with the the friendly service, timeliness and cost. The woman who checked me in for my appointment was kind and the woman who cashed me out was equally as sweet. This team was amazing. I highly recommend this service department!

One star for the sake of posting a review. This place has…read morethe absolute and total worst customer service I have ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. We (er my daughter with me as the co-signer) purchased a used Nissan Juke from this location, first dealing with a super pushy salesperson. In such a hurry to get the sale by the end of the day, he wanted to write down my daughter's debit card number, so he could charge her down-payment the next day, and then give her a receipt when she came back, instead of having us come back when the cashier would be open and we would be able to complete the down-payment, get a receipt, and leave with a vehicle. Who does something like that? He got really offended when I stepped in and told her not to give it to him because there would be no safeguard in place for her money. Prior to deciding on a car, he continuously brought us around to see cars well above the price point or max miles we requested; we searched the website ourselves from the parking lot, and found a couple that my daughter could afford and essentially did it all by ourselves. This salesperson made us both so uncomfortable that I had to ask to work with someone else to finalize the deal. This was my young adult daughter's first car buying experience, and she really wanted this cute little car, but what a disappointment. After haggling with finance we also purchased an extended bumper to bumper warranty with $100 deductible for repairs, and were assured a dozen times that she could bring it back to be worked on if needed, and bring it in for the regular maintenance, etc. Fast forward a couple of months, the car is really acting up. My daughter brings it to Joe Basil, they "can't find" a problem, fix nothing, and send her away -$100. She brings it back in a week, describes the same issues, they can't find a problem and suggest she take it to a Nissan dealer -$100. The car starts stalling out as she's driving the very next day, she brings it in to service and calls me on the phone in tears while a Basil employee, "Jake" is audibly yelling at her in the background. I can hear him berating her, "you're going to pay $100 for every single issue, it's stalling, that's $100, it's making a noise, that's $100... we're a Chevy dealer, we don't work on Nissan! We are going to send it to Nissan and it's going to be at least a week!" I could tell he was really trying to scare her off. When I told her to ask why we were told we could bring it there for service if they don't service this type of car, his exact words were "they'll tell you anything to make a sale!" She told him she can't drive it home because it stalls, so send it where you have to send it. Ultimately, she left and came home extremely upset, with a loaner car that Jake also insisted wouldn't be covered by her warranty (it was.) We went back together the next day to get some personal items out of her car, at which time I got to meet Jake in person and repay some of the treatment I listened to him give my daughter the previous day. He told me he never yelled at her, and my head exploded. I was on the phone listening in real time while he yelled at her, and then he implies she's a liar too?! Oh, I think the eff not. Jake slinked away to bring the car around to us, and it wouldn't even start for him. The following day he called my daughter personally to apologize. I assumed someone slapped his hand after the entire place heard me going off about him yelling at my kid and the poor customer service we receive from this place. This car was actually broken more than it wasn't, and the place we bought it from was simply no help. This relationship just couldn't work. Needless to say, we recently traded in the piece of junk Nissan with a different dealer, and will never, EVER do business with Joe Basil again. We thought we were free of them, but now we have a problem regarding the extended warranty we purchased from them. We paid for the entire warranty, but didn't keep the car for the entire coverage period. We have either 4 years of warranty left to transfer to her new car, or should receive a refund for the 4 remaining years of coverage. The fine print briefly outlines the options, but Smart Auto Care (the warranty company) explained that they are the third party, and that we need to arrange transfer/ refund through- you guessed it, Joe Basil Chevrolet via the finance department. My daughter and both I have been calling, leaving voice messages, and sending emails for over a week, it's seemingly wasted effort. Switchboard is friendly, they transfer us right to the finance department, but then no one there answers or returns calls. We got one email response (from Jake, of all people) that the finance dept was closed, but he would forward the message to them, that was days ago, no one ever got back to us. Zero stars, don't bother.
