    Rear differential.

    My F150 FX4 had an issue with the front brakes. I took it to the service department, told them the right front caliper was locking up on occasion, even was smoking one time. They diagnosed it and told me I need all new pads and rotors, front and rear. I said wait the problem is with the front locking up and there were new calipers and rotors put on 20k miles ago. So NO, that's not the issue. Even had to go by there to look and the truck and explain it to them. They think they figured it out as failed brake line that was not replaced when the calipers were replaced previously from them both locking up. We will see in time pulling the boat. Also the truck needed a rear diff pinion seal. I asked them to replace the seal and change the fluid in the diff. They then proceeded to charge me for 4 units of oil and sealant. Well they never removed the differential cover. So no sealant was used and the diff only holds 2.6 units of oil. Now they claimed they can pump out diff gear oil through the fill hole. Now I have changed diff oil in my life and always remove the diff cover. Provided pics of the rear diff, you can see the cover nor bolts were touched. So if you know anything about cars, READ the bill before paying it!! Probably will never use Jim Hudson Ford again.

    Marijuana in the driver's front window gasket

    Jim Hudson Ford sold us a certified pre-owned Expedition that had marijuana in it. We bought the vehicle on a cloudy day and it smelled fine. We got the vehicle home and, after it sat in the sun with the doors closed, the smell of marijuana became overwhelming. Upon further inspection, we found residual bits of marijuana leaf in the glove compartment and on the dashboard. We took the Expedition back to Jim Hudson to get it cleaned again, and they did. In the meantime, they gave us an Explorer to drive that smelled like cigarettes. We were just grateful to have a vehicle so we appreciated the Explorer regardless. We got the Expedition back and it smelled like they had cleaned it... after it sat in the sun, however, the smell returned... We searched the vehicle and more marijuana was found in the window gaskets. After this, we decided we had spent too much money on the vehicle to have to keep fighting this problem. Also, the smell was so strong that we were concerned with it affecting our children and/or our professions. We met with Jim Hudson Ford and decided it would be best to just sell it back to them. Too much time had elapsed (20 to 30 days) for us to get our trade in back, so they would have had to sell it back to us. The sale of our vehicle would not have been even, and we would have lost money on it and then have to resell it again. All-in-all, we lost close to $10k on our trade-in and left Jim Hudson Ford with no vehicle. I don't care about red tape or sales rules... when you sell a vehicle with an illegal substance in it, you should at least allow the customer to break even on departure. That did not happen​, and we went elsewhere. Maybe this is isolated (the spare Explorer suggests that it isn't) but we had a bad experience

    Looking for a good Ford dealer that can change the Oil changed. Got a 2019 Ford F3 50 brand new at Lugoff Ford and carried it back to them to get the oil changed and was very dissatisfied with their service?

    Jim Hudson in Lexington. I take my F-150 and Explorer there. They've been good.

Never had problems with my vehicle before. I take very good care of my vehicle yes things break and need to be fixed that's everyday maintenance of course. But this was a little odd now since the check engine light is on again in such short period of time so I brought it back. They told me it was a different problem they think it could be the coil pack or it could need new spark plugs which I just put in 20,000 miles ago and they are platinum spark plugs that are supposed to last 100,000 miles they also told me I needed a transmission flush that I did only about 10,000 Mi ago and I needed stutter guard for my vehicle out the door it would have been over $550. I basically told them to take a walk. I used to go to this place all the time but it has changed names from Kestner Auto to now Rev Auto. They seem to hire all new people and very young kids not there's anything wrong with hiring young kids but they seem to be guessing on what may be wrong with the vehicle as people pay good money to fix it and the problem are not always what they are claiming. If you bring your car in there to get service don't expect to get it serviced the same day it usually takes a good 24 hours for them to even look at it if you're lucky. Oh yes I decided to change the spark plugs myself for $20 and that fixed my problem they wanted to do it for $550 and it wasn't even all the problems they all claimed it was. I would not recommend this mechanic shop.

    Do not use this company for retint application of your back glass. They are dishonest and hide…read morebehind the titles of "veteran" and "Christian". Our original tint was starting to bubble so we were lured into this company by the Veteran owned title along with the random Christian paraphernalia in the office. We had the original tint removed and new tint applied. Car was left there all day and we were charged the most they quoted for removal and tinting. Upon pick up, we paid cash and were not given a receipt, only to be told to not use ammonia to clean the windows or roll the windows down for 24 hours. We noticed wetness from the application process and air bubbles here and there but chalked it off to the tint having to cure. One day while driving we noticed, as the sun was shining through, the back glass at the top where there are small round cut outs, the tint looks like there is either adhesive, soap residue, something stuck between the tint and glass that has never been there. We bought this car new and have never seen the window look this way since before the new tint job. We contacted Solar Solutions and were told we were in the system, to bring the car in to be retinted as the tint has a life long warranty. When we dropped the car off the guy taking the keys saw the problems and seemed as though the issue with the top of the tint should not be there. The car was left for 7 hours. Picked up the car along with a hand written paper receipt and noticed more air bubbles and the same situation to the top as before. Gave it a week or so to see if it had remedied itself. It had not. Air bubbles and just a mess of the top of the tint. Called Solar Solutions and one of the owners said bring it back and he would handle it personally. What a mistake! We would have been better off with the air bubbles and adhesive/soap residue problem. From the get go both owners, we assume as they never introduced themselves, addressed the tint claiming that was normal. Pretty strange how suddenly this is normal but was never mentioned on the initial phone call or the 2nd visit where they removed and applied new tint. Claimed they handle all of SLED's cars and they have this same situation. Not impressed at all. At any rate, to address the air bubbles they take the car into the shop and bring it back maybe ten minutes later. I notice a piece of tint hanging where before there was a two inch long air bubble where a defrost line is. I ask what it was (knowing they took a razor blade to my tint) and the owner accuses me of the damage he just did. I am completely in shock. He then demands I give him my keys so he can go take off the tint and refund me my money. After the treatment I received, of being accused of the damage this guy did, there was no way I was trusting them with my car again. They walked away from me saying, "have a good day." This was a Christmas gift to my wife. We would have been better off with some YouTube videos and a couple rolls of tint. Take heed of the reviews that are negative of this business. Of course the best job and best treatment can be given to the president or some hot shot with a corvette but what about the treatment to a nobody who can offer you nothing but their hard earned cash. If you want a couple of dishonest guys who don't stand behind their work, for a nobody from nowhere, this is the place to go.
