1 Star -- Very Disappointing Experience…read more I left my appointment in tears. I specifically requested the same light toner I'd received at my previous appointment. My goal was to embrace my natural silver hair while gently blending the remaining brown, not cover or darken my gray. My appointment was scheduled for 4:00 p.m. The stylist finished with her previous client at approximately 4:10, then spent about 20 minutes searching through her notes because she couldn't find the formula she'd used on my hair before. Rather than discussing the uncertainty with me and confirming a new formula, she decided to add ash tones to blend my remaining natural brown. The result was significantly darker than what I'd requested. She acknowledged that the color was dark and told me it would gradually lighten as I washed it. Unfortunately, that leaves me trying to wash out a color I never wanted in the first place. I had finally reached a point where I loved my natural silver curls and was excited to continue growing them out with a soft, blended transition. Now I'm concerned about having darker lengths and ends as my silver grows in. What should have been an enjoyable appointment became an upsetting experience. I left feeling that my wishes had not been respected. When a client clearly communicates what she wants, especially regarding a color she's previously loved, those wishes should guide the service. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning.
