This place is the kind of old-fashioned from back in the fifties of the last century, but without…read morethe smell that some of those places have, and with all the interesting cuteness and history. And, believe it or not, it has a bathroom (!! Most important when you get out of that stretch of forest!! And they actually let you use it!!) which is clean (!!), with that ole' Americana charm. What makes this place even more charming, is that it really is authentic: the staff takes the time to help you, with lots of additional information about any subject that you need to know. The store itself is a delight to walk through (not for small children though) with bait, hooks, books, and all kinds of hunting and especially fishing supplies. As we were going crabbing she helped us with the allowed sizes, the best places on the coast, the net and bait: and it was soooo much fun with a bunch of teenagers!! Definitely a place we will be coming back to again and again, even if only to buy a soda and sniff some atmosphere.

This was the kids first time fishing on a boat and the crew were amazing with the kiddos by patiently teaching them the techniques of fishing and were genuinely enthusiastic whenever they caught a fish. Half way into the trip the captain noticed that Salmon were running and changed gears to start trolling. Within a few minutes we caught our first Coho and when all was done ended up with 4 keepers while 4 more had to be released due to them being native species! This meant that we ended up staying out longer than anticipated but the captain didn't mind at all as long as the fishing was good and the passengers were having a good time. The crew at Infinity Charters clearly love fishing and pride themselves on providing a great experience for their customers. I recommend them wholeheartedly and will certainly book another trip if we find ourselves in the Newport area!

And I had been recommended this place through an old friend who grew up in Otis his whole life and his parents used to go here and so did he. I didn't get enough time to walk around and really do enough but I do plan to come back and check out some of the guns My family and I are old NRA Members and I've gotten a little rusty on my guns lately. My father was actually a gun designer. And I need to really come in here and probably purchase one or two more guns. I'm really happy to live in a state that has open carry laws and isn't squeamish like where I am from in California. However we are the old Californians, we are conservative so we are really happy to find this gun store and all around outdoors store. I was also lucky when I was in here to get a business card for a guy who does gun handling classes and preparation for intruders and how to prepare if something like that is going to occur in your home as well as handgun safety. I want to call them soon I'm very excited that I got their card from this store. But I do need to come back and check out the merchandise more in the meantime I just wanted to give a really good review and say that everybody in there was really friendly including the guy who is supposed to be my neighbor and only good things to say.

My husband rented the life jackets anyways. We were told they were $15 to rent (with a $100 deposit on our credit card). He told us to "bring them back any time, since it was only $15 to rent." .... So, upon bringing them back, he charged us $60. He charged us $15/day per jacket, but failed to state that at all. I don't recommend this business at all. There's absolutely no reason for him to have "forgotten" to tell us it's a daily charge, especially since we asked outright. I get that people need to make a living, but this isn't how you do it folks. I'd give zero stars if I could. It seemed like this wasn't his first time "forgetting" to tell people it was a daily rental. Beware!!

What a nice a experience we had today. My boys and my husband and I had little experience with body…read moreboards and surfboards and skim boards, and Mike was very patient helping is to decide what to do for our day out. He had all the gear we needed to have a great time, helped us find the right each for the boys (6 and 9) to have a fun and safe time and showed us what we'd needed to have a blast. And my boys and I certainly did. Thank you so much! PS. Wet suits make all the difference on the Oregon coast no matter how much the sun is shining!
