For example, I started an auto loan two days ago and finally got it completed this morning. I was told it womule take about 15 minutes for the check to be printed at my local branch. Well, 2 and a half hours later I'm sitting in an office in the branch waiting for someone to join a video conference to find out why the check isn't ready. so frustrating. The last car I sold to a guy and recommended RBFCU to him since it would simplify the transaction as my loan was with RBFCU. That trip took over fours and he had already been approved for the loan before going.

Everyone I've dealt with has been great to deal with, both over the phone and in person at this branch (and I'm usually at the branch a couple of times a week). Online banking is great, and worlds ahead of my last CU. This is, however, a credit union that you can't join simply by living in their service area (at least in DFW) - you either have to be military, ex-military, or a member of (a very long list of) certain groups. In my case, I was able to join RBFCU by joining one of those groups. If you go into a branch, or call member services, they should be able to tell you how you may qualify for membership.

Sitting on hold, AGAIN, for an hour to likely get no resolve. No other business or lender has ever charged a late fee or considered a payment late when an automatic payments which is set up on their end falls on a holiday and is withdrawn the next business day!! That is the whole point of setting up an automatic payment- for peace of mind that all payments will be on time and my credit score will be protected. They were not reasonable nor helpful.
