    this credit union has eliminated having bankers, everything is virtual. unbelievable. im closing my account as we speak. just dumb

    I visited this location today to question why a mobile deposited check written to me from another…read morecredit union had a 7 day hold on it. I worked with customer representative Ashley and she was as helpful as she could be. She referred me to branch manager Chris. I had called the toll free line several times trying to resolve issue, thus my case was well documented. When Chris attempted to help me, I became very frustrated that he did not care what a member was experiencing but what was documented. As I tried to explain the situation, Chris resulted to the same tactic I received from the toll free number, my check was on hold for security purposes (but I showed proof check had cleared). The other institution had a hold on it (but you had already made partial funds available). I was told that I had never done a mobile deposit to NFCU (I produced check that was mobile deposited and proof from other institution NFCU had indeed processed check). Told I should I reach out to my previous financial institution to get proof the check had cleared, I became really angry because as a member I should not have to gather proof, when NFCU was holding the bulk of my deposit. After Chris contacted the other institution and confirmed check had cleared, he then preceded to release the funds to my savings account, be mindful, I had a balance 3-4 times the amount of the check I was originally trying to deposit. Frustrated because it was my money, I left the institution without further words, only to be met upon exit from Chris, with a very sarcastic "you are welcome." I am welcome? It's my money and I was simply trying to get it released for the deposit. The frustrating, conflicting answers (from toll free number), and time to visit a branch location didn't warrant a thank you. When you are servicing a member, you should always be attentive, helpful, and open to their needs. While this institution and location is very convenient to my home, but being a disabled veteran, I will continue to evaluate my standing as a "member" to determine if this is indeed the credit union for my financial needs. And if anybody in this institution tries to say I was argumentative, rude, or disrespectful, on the phone calls, release the audio or the video at this location as evidence to support your claim.

He was very nice…read moreat first and he told me to submit the application and that my credit wouldn't be ran until we went over the application together. I said ok. I submitted the application and I haven't received a call nor a text. I got a notification from the credit bureau that my credit was ran. I reached out asking why he had ran my credit if he stated he wouldn't run it without going over the application. His response was "My apologies, either way I am unable to retrieve any of your credit scores and reports as you have a credit freeze and identity theft on your credit." I asked him what should I do and I told him I could send him myself my credit reports. Ever since then pure crickets. Haven't heard anything from him. How unprofessional. If he didn't want to work with me anymore, he could've just simply told me that versus just ignoring me. I understand everyone has life and they're busy, but there's no reason why you should ignore a potential client Who's trying to work with him. I definitely would NOT recommend him

This bank and the people in leadership are so deceptive. They had a data breach July 2022 and waited 8 months to notify affected clients their sensitive information had been exposed. That's scary and a dereliction of duty! The negligence of this bank has caused great harm to my small business and my family. The corruption runs deep. I know I am not alone. The dishonesty and potentially criminal activity by this bank need to be exposed. If you would like to share your story of corruption or negligence by Happy State Bank or Centennial email: Happyiscorrupt@communioncooperative.com and expose what is going on. This lender completely mishandled my PPP loan causing a burden far beyond what any small business should have to experience in this program. They do not care about small businesses, and they bully anyone who calls out the corruption and uses lawyers to intimate because they know small businesses are the weaker party. Your small business will never be a priority at this bank, unless of course you are 4G Metals and had a PPP sweetheart deal with Chris Castle. The SBA really should investigate the shady dealings with this company and Happy State Bank. I know there are a lot of people hurt from this bank and your voice has been silenced like mine. Nothing will change until our stories of how corrupt these people are become public. The first step is to close your account and get out, the second is to email me with your experience and we can work together to expose what is going on and the harm they are causing to mom-and-pop small businesses that are still hurting from the COVID closures.

    TOTAL FAIL - Do NOT use this bank - They no longer value customers. This was a great bank several…read moreyears ago, but acquired by Centenninal Bank recently and now unacceptable. The acquisition caused me days of problems as data was not migrated from Happy Bank to Centennial - all of my prior bank records were deleted and you can imagine what a problem that caused from a personal perspective, let alone my business. I complained many times, and even submitted an invoice for the large time/cost of the mistake, but was of course denied. I therefore started shutting down 12 accounts, and as of today migrated two of the last three accounts to CAPITAL ONE, who has treated me very well. I will close out the next account within 3 weeks and never return - they lost $ Millions in business transactions I was planning on using them for.

We came in today to open up a checking account for my daughter, who just turned 12. While we were putting in some money into her savings account, the teller (Abbi) asked about our summer plans. I told her not sure because we were in the process of selling our house. She told me to definitely look into mortgage loans through them because they have really good rates. She put me in contact with Matt Stewart, who did a great job giving me all the information I needed. Also, Chris helped us set up the checking account and he was kind and walked my daughter and myself through it all. There was also a new worker learning "the ropes" (didn't get his name, sorry!) who was very helpful and attentive to our needs (even asking if I needed him to walk my son out to the car where my husband was picking him up) and letting us know about getting our free coffee. All of them made a point to tell us goodbye as we were leaving. All in all, I'm very pleased with this bank's customer service, not to mention the sweet young lady that always greets us each time (I cannot remember her name either, sorry!).
