Higher fees than most credit unions, no tellers- mostly automated machines. I spent more time trying to do transactions than before the tellers were replaced. Moved all of our accounts to RBFCU where there's no overdraft fees from savings or line of credit. ITCU now feels like a bank rather than credit union. read more

Having been with ITCU for 30 years, I suppose my opinion should be pretty apparent. A recent visit to this branch prompted me to leave a review long overdue. Though I've never had an issue with any other location, the staff at this particular location really shines. Beside the member perks, the overall treatment you receive is nothing short of personalized, friendly and knowledgeable. After assisting me with an ATM question, Sheri placed me in the capable hands of Stephen Lewis, who single-handedly solved my issue, took the time to ensure the account was otherwise healthy and offered helpful guidance on a myriad of related subjects. As stated by others, I do online banking online. I didn't drive to bank and get out of car to use an ATM machine. Employees are there to transition you to using machine only. They cannot help in any way. If you request help in person, you are directed to the machine. Drive thru is disabled. At least let me sit in my car while I talk to a machine. read more

If I could do less than one star, I would. Apparently they like to change their system, which messes up autodrafts (they don't let anyone know), and then they send out cute little emails that say your payment is late. Ridiculous phone wait times, and upper management won't answer theirs. Looking to refinance ASAP just to get away from this circus of a "bank". read more

Technology is great, but some times I want to work with an actual person. I've used this branch several times since we moved to the area 3 years ago. Last week, I walked in to a very difference scene. They have replaced ALL tellers, both drive-up and lobby, with "automated tellers". Way to RUIN the customer experience just to save a buck or two. We recently moved to this area. We have always been credit union members and really wanted to stay that way. Needed a local CU. After seeing reviews, we were skeptical. We ended up at Texans CU a couple weeks ago - that was a BIG mistake. Took over 3 hours just to open a couple accounts. Totally dismayed, felt like we were just stuck. InTouch is a shared credit union - our credit union back home suggested we use them to get access to some of our funds. I went in - obtained a cashier's check drawing from my CU in Michigan, got it all done in about 10 minutes. So we went back yesterday and opened checking/saving accounts. Eddie provided great customer service. He took us in, and it took a little while, but no where near Texans. And we felt confident that Eddie knew what he was doing. He took time to explain everything to us, provided us with good detail of the various account types. Made it so easy for us to transfer funds from our MI CU to this one. So glad we came here. We walked away with debit cards and confidence that this new credit union will serve us well, just as we had with our CU in MI. read more

I have been a member with ITCU for at least 7 years or more. I've had a positive experience up until recently. I applied for a loan and was told I was denied due debt to ratio. My credit report was showing 2 mortgages I called and spoke to someone about this. She told me she would resubmit and I should be good someone would be giving me call me back. No one never ever did so I called back no one knew what I was talking about . I asked to speak to a supervisor was told I needed to leave a message which I did. I called and left at least 3 messages.Still no return call and it's been close to 3 weeks. What is the point of being with a credit union if you are not receiving the benefits of being with one? But yet I received numerous calls to get my business for a call loan and home loan. Not to mention I reported a fraud issue they told it would be taken care of and for the most part it was. The issue was on a Friday why did they block my card on a Monday! No one ever told me I would need a new card when we spoke on Friday . I found out that my card was blocked at the grocery store. I was embarrassed and humiliated I had to leave my grocery at the store. When I called I was told it would take 7-10 business days to receive a replacement card!!! I had to leave work early to go into a branch to have another card made. Valued member? I think not. read more

My family visited Mckinney TX branch. We were there to set up two new Kids accounts for our Children. We chose InTouch because it looked like you guys would make the whole bank experience fun for them? with the free gift? Chip Stamps? etc? When we arrived there were two employees there, and older gentleman and a lady both in their own offices. Neither of them came out to greet us as we just stood there waiting for help. Finally a third employee (who was talking to the other customer that had come in before us) came over and asked us what brought us in today. We told him to set up new accounts etc? He said hold tight, he walked over to the Gentleman in the office. They were looking at us and pointing. The gentleman in office did not look very happy and very put-out. Then he walked back out and into the next office. This lady in office was sorting file folders all over her desk. She looked almost as put-out as the older guy. Then after discussions, He came out and told the customer in front of us that she could go over to the guy and he would help us. He was very nice but seemed very new. He seemed to be looking all over the computer and not sure what he was doing. He left the office a time or two to ask questions to the lady across the lobby. He tried calling her on phone once as well. He was taking a long time and couldn't find what he was looking for. He told us he was going to print some papers and left to get them, then came back with no papers and asked us to sign digitally. The process was agonizing? we were there for over an hour? we have a 6 yr and a 9yr old trying to set up new Kid accounts. Something that was supposed to be FUN and EXCITING? their FIRST ACCOUNTS? it was long? quiet and boring? We seemed like we spent most of our time watching him stare at the computer screen looking for something. In the end we were told to go the kiosk to deposit money? but you guys don't take coins???? How else do you think a kid gets money???? They emptied their piggy banks just for today? and you tell us to go find a coinstar machine somewhere else???? We deposited their cash but will have to return after we find coinstar or another bank that will take our coins? Your website says the kids get a gift and a card with a new account set up. I asked about this and he did not know. He had to call across the lobby to ask the lady if we would get cards in mail? So to sum up? We hyped our 6 and 9yr kids up about getting their OWN savings account. We picked this place because it was supposed to be fun. We were greeted with bank staff looking like they were put-out we were there and arguing over who would have to help us. Feels like the made the new guy take us. Neither of the other two bank staff tried to help the struggling new guy. (and they were not helping anyone else) The process was very long and a beating?Took way longer to set up their accounts than a grown up account. We did not receive gift as promised on website. The staff has no idea what gift we are talking about. Staff has no idea what a ?Chip Stamp? even is? Staff has no idea what we can do with ?Chip Stamps?? We were given no paper work or anything explaining how Chip Stamps work? Why in the Heck did we come to InTouch in the first place??? Is this the way InTouch handles kids accounts? Contacted number on website... said they would contact the branch manager. Sent email to corporate... said we would be contacted by branch manager. Been a couple weeks... still not contact from anyone... Don't set up kids accounts here!!! read more
