Angelina was so very helpful in helping me with several issues that I needed taken care of. Such a sweet young lady.

Made my life hell after my husband passed away. We had a joint account but to remove my husband's name, I had to close the account and open a new one. That meant, at the worst time in my life and with all the business I had to do after a death, I had to open a new account with a new account number and then change my info with all the companies that did automatic withdrawals and deposits. It was insane to ask that of me. So I closed my account and opened a new account at Chase. I asked the banker what Chase does when joint account holder passes away. He said their screen for a joint account is split in two with info on each joint holder in his/her own box. Once they have been presented with a death certificate, one half of the appropriate screen is deleted. That's it. Treated Me Like A Second Class Citizen The Entire Length Of The Loan. Accused Me Of Defrauding The Credit Union Which Was A Lie. Even Made A Payment Through The Night Deposit Box. Texans CU Swore I Never Made The Payment Because They Were To Lazy To Look Up Into The Chute And Find It Hung Up In Their Chute. I Also Paid The Loan Off Early And Never Got A Statement Saying It Was Paid Off. The Absolute Rudest Credit Union I've Ever Dealt With. I tried to go here and receive a new card caused my old one someone done fraudulent charges so it was closed ASAP . Went in to wait just to be told sorry our card machine is down ! It's always down at this location. If you want better service go to the branch in Allen there awesome alot more friendly I might add !!!! read more

I just spoke to Cheristy on the phone to get information about credit card payments, and shred days at Richardson branch and she was a DELIGHT to speak to. She was very friendly and helpful. Yeah, done with this place. I took down my 1 star review from earlier due to management contacting me and supposedly getting things straight. Not the case, problem is not resolved and it's only screwing me, but they can't do anything about it even though they were the ones who messed up in the 1st place!!! I've had a savings account with Texans for years as well as a couple of car loans over the years. I've used the branches in McKinney, Frisco (the one that was on Preston - I think they've since closed that one), and the main location in Richardson. I haven't had any problems with Texans. They've always seemed friendly and responsive to me. As far as their rates go they're better than the typical big name bank, but you could probably find better online. Overall I'm satisfied with Texans. Are they stellar? No, but they are consistent (in a good way for me at least). read more

I have banked at Texans Credit Union for about nine years, and have had no issues, other than extremely long waits when I have to call in to talk to someone. I have been on hold with them for 13 minutes and am still waiting for someone to get to me. They are understaffed for phone help and need to fix that. read more

Very very very very slow!! 2 people working the counter/drive thru on a Friday afternoon. Each transaction takes 5-7 minutes. A simple transfer from one savings acct to another took 10 min, after taking 15 min in line. read more

My dad opened my account 35 years ago and I've used this credit union on and off for 15. This location is horrible! I recently withdrew $700 and was given $1000! Bank errors in real life aren't nearly as cool as in Monopoly... After 30 minutes of wasted time and gas (with melting groceries in the back), I returned the money and headed home. Today in the drive through we were in a hurry. Pulled up behind one car. We waited at least 30 minutes behind that one car! The other line had 2 cars and wasn't moving any faster. They are slow, rude and not very reliable. I only have a savings account with my $25 in it. Thinking about closing it! At one time they had our mortgage, 2 cars, and HELOC. In touch Credit Union is much better. Rant over. read more

Avoid this bank at all costs. They are not only unfriendly and uncooperative in person, but even their website is terrible to use. It's primitive; something you would expect to see ten years ago. As an example of their incompetence: they can't even get something as simple as issuing a debit card correct - it took them three attempts. It's sooo nice to receive a new debit card because "card numbers have been compromised" (that oughta tell you how bad they are), redo all your direct deposits and withdrawals, and then receive another card two days later and have to redo it all again. Complete amateurs. Their loan officers are disinterested. Their rates of return are really low. Seriously... I'd rather store my money under my mattress than to do business with this bank again. read more
