The IRS had to stop them, Imagine the IRS stopping someone from screwing you!!!!!!!!! My wife worked for an TEXANS CU that used milliman to handle their benefits. A long story short. Texans tried to steal everyone's pension form them. Milliman allowed them to do this. We among many others complained to the IRS. The IRS actually ruled that Milliamn could not allow Texans to steal her money. It took two years for us to get that answer. Now we have been dealing with Milliman for over 45 day to get the money they allowed Texans to steal a couple years ago. We have jumped through all of their hoops and we are told they are still reviewing. Yeah, I Bet. Of course the stock market is up 30% last year and we did not make the money but Milliman got to invest our money. Eventually they may give us our principal. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD I EVER USE TEXANS, TO MOW MY YARD, MUCH LESS BE THE FIDUCIARY FOR MY MONEY. The people who actually tried to steal the money are Kay Woods and James Gergen. I bet they showed profitablity, for the quarter, they were able to show the money they stole as profits. Typical government workers and accounting!!!!!! I own Klemm Roofing Inc. in Farmersville Tx. I was refered to Texans by another friend who also owns a roofing Co. in Dallas. The reason I started my account with them was, when a home owner receives a Insurance check for repairs to the property, they want to be able to endorse the check to their contractor, instead of having to run it through their account. Everything was fine for a few years, but since they made questionable mortgage loans they stopped honoring their agreement to do so. Since then they have tried to make doing business with them almost impossible. Finally when their branch mgr. left 6 months ago and told me I should do the same because they DO NOT WANT ANY BUSINESS ACCOUNTS, and want to run all those customers off. The Richardson branch is HORRIBLE, they never have more than 2 tellers working, with 20 people in line, it takes 45 minutes to make a deposit with these people. When I asked why the new policy, the new branch Mgr. blamed Government Regulations, Really, do they think WE THE PEOPLE ARE THAT STUPID? They Do! I have since found several other banks who want my business, and don't blame their short sightedness on the GOVERMENT. I have been a member with Texan's since I was 5 years old. Fast forward almost 20 years later, I am still a happy member. Especially with all of the user interface improvements within the app, my banking experience has never been better. Every interaction I have had with Texans has been overwhelmingly positive. My wife and I applied for an auto loan late on a Friday night, and the process was so easy to complete online. That next morning, we got a call from a loan advisor, Geoff, to review some of the information we had put in and he told us we should hear back on the status of our application in the next 2 hours. As promised, we got approved within that time frame. This was my first car-buying experience and thus my first experience with financing, so I was anxious going into it. Texans made the process extremely easy, and Geoff was so kind and helpful throughout our interactions with him. He was there to answer our questions about next steps once the loan was approved and he really ensured that we felt comfortable and confident moving forward in this process. Super appreciative of all of the good experiences I have had with Texans and all of the people who work hard to foster a positive community with this bank. read more

I contacted Matt regarding a personal loan. He took my information and was going to work on it. He told me that he would call me back within a day. After 3 days I called him and left a message and even texted him. He called me and told me they were short handed and they were really busy but promised to get to my loan request. Again I did not hear from him after 2 weeks. I went into the branch and asked for the Supervisor. The Supervisor-Teresa met with me and apologized for the bad customer service. She said she would personally handle my loan request. After several emails and left messages she called me back to let me know that she could approve the request at this time. She said to call her personally the next time I wanted to try to get the loan. After some time I emailed her that I was ready to request another loan along with a co-signer. She has yet to respond to my email. First email sent on May 6th as well as left message. Second email send on May 8th and third one sent today....No response by email or phone call. I am really disappointed as I know the reputation of this bank has always been outstanding. I am guessing that I will have to go elsewhere..... read more

I had been with big banks for years. When I moved back to Texas I wanted to go with a CU with the expectation of a more personal experience and all the benefits that come with it. Texans delivered on all fronts. I recently made a mistake in my checking account and incurred an overdraft fee of $35 again, my fault. I called and requested a courtesy credit on 4/19/18 and today (4/23/18) received an email from Rene Sabedra a Member Services Supervisor stating (in form email of course) "can confirm after reviewing your accounts that the fee(s), totaling $35.00, that you are requesting a refund for was/were applied in accordance with our fee disclosures. We are unable to process your refund request at this time. I do apologize for the inconvenience." I was surprised by the response because I had expected a request like this from a customer who does not abuse a special request would be accommodated by a very customer centric organization. Please pay someone decent money to develop a more friendly site. When you get a loan from them, there is no info on your member number. Not even on the statement you receive from them. The only way to get - talk to their absolutely horrible customer service reps. So once you have an account number and you are able to log in, guess what!! You can't still pay your account unless you have a checking account. Then, they charge $15 for paying their loan using any other bank account. This is first of a kind. Grow up! People want to pay YOUR loan; don't extort even more money. Absolutely greedy vulture. WHY DO BANKS LIKE THIS STILL EXIST? I hope yelp does not remove this post, as is often the case with negative reviews. Anyway, I am writing a negative review because of an atrocious experience I had with Linda Roberson from the branch. Linda is a 'mystery' individual from the branch as she would not provide me with her position at the branch, nor would she provide me with her direct contact information. She called me an 'angry faggot' on the phone when I was asking her simple questions about an inquiry on my credit report. She told me that I was 'likely a criminal' who was 'scamming her.' Long story short, they removed the inquiry on my Credit Report because it turned out it WAS their error. How this woman still has a job there is the real 'mystery' to me. read more

Since the Federal Regulators took over Texans in 2011, it seems customer service has gone down the drain. They act more like Bank of America by constantly creating new fees and ways to tap money from their customers, while paying little to nothing in interest for using our money. It's very sad to see a once well respected Credit Union, turn to the predatory fee tactics of large banks. I'm am looking to move to other Credit Unions or smaller banks that remember how to treat their customers. read more

He was so helpful and professional. He was able to answer all of my questions. I will be returning soon to work on getting an auto loan.
