It was marketed as a travel card that waived foreign transaction fees. It seemed like it would be of great use domestically as well as on international trips. Prior to the pandemic, I was able to come to this branch office to exchange cash for foreign currency, even though I didn't have a savings or checking account. I was still considered a customer here because of my BofA travel credit card. Sadly, post pandemic, this financial service center is no longer offering this service of foreign currency exchange even though their website and the BofA app both say the service is provided for credit card customers. I spoke with tellers and a bank manager at the location about this. I showed them the app. I showed them info on the website. The bank manager elevated the case to his manager and gave me the case number. I waited several days for an update, but heard nothing, so I called the local number on the business card. No answer, so I stopped by the bank to get an update. The bank manager was not in. Another employee confirmed that the "case" is just to get the language REMOVED from the website that says credit card customers can be assisted with foreign currency exchanges too. Not really the customer service that I was hoping for. On another note, I was robbed in Paris. All of my credit cards and cash were stolen on my day of arrival. I was on the train from the airport to my AirBnB when a large man literally threw himself on top of me. While I was pushing him off of me, he unzipped my purse and stole my change wallet with everything. Thankfully I still had my phone and noticed prior to getting off the train what had happened. I informed the train staff when I arrived at my station, but they simply gave me the address of the nearest police station. As soon as I got checked into my room, I started calling all of my credit cards to report them stolen. Charges were thankfully removed from all, but the BofA card was the hardest to deal with. I requested a replacement be mailed to me in Paris, but they said it would take at least 2 weeks, so it would not be available until I returned to the US. Thankfully AMEX was able to process and overnight me a new card within 24 hours to a address in Paris. My nephew, who lived in Paris at the time, loaned me some cash. I will forever be a fan of AMEX for saving me in that trip. BofA is okay, but they don't offer the customer service that one can find with other banks. After this upcoming trip, I will most likely get rid of this account because it has not served my needs.

We found a car that we liked. That deal fell through. Jason told us the lending rate, ran a CARFAX reports and advised us if it would be a good purchase on three other cars and trucks. Jason even told us the trending value of the models we were looking at to make sure we got a good price and leading rate. Over a four week period week period we called on Jason's direct line and he supported my son and me the entire way up to the purchase of a new Truck for my son. So off she went to find another bank that didn't charge fees. Somewhat across the street, she found Comerica Bank which offers free business bank accounts. So she signs up for one. Bada-bing bada-boom. She's got a bank account. No fees and no problems. The one negative about Comerica is that their ATM still uses the old envelope and deposit slip style of depositing. It's really quite annoying. Our personal bank has a check reader and a cash counter, so, even though you have to put in each check separately, you just put in the amount, put in the check and then do the next one. It's a little more time consuming, but you don't have to have deposit slips with you. Just sign the check and deposit. Or, do you have a huge wad of bills to deposit? Just take them, up to 30, and put them in the ATM and it will count it for you. Just to emphasize, this bank does not have this feature. Otherwise, Lupe is an awesome employee, she took care of me when I had questions and has gone out of her way to take care of us. Not sure what Comerica stands for, but if anything, it stands for customer service.

I didn't understand why there was a hold on my money when the deposit was cash. I called customer service and the rep told me that the remaining funds will post overnight. On today, I wake to find that my deposit had not posted. I went to this branch to gain understanding on their cash deposit. The guy told me that the rest of my deposit would not be available until Tuesday morning. SERIOUSLY?! He says the corporate office handles the arm deposits and their machine doesn't have a smart reader (which is why they use envelopes). I was very disappointed in his response and their policy. I had a transaction to post which made my account overdrawn (due to my funds not being available) and I was told that I would incur an OD fee. I went about my day and 30 minutes later, the bank called me and shared with me that after looking into things further, they released my deposit and made all my funds available. I was very happy to hear this and it made my day better. I still don't understand why my cash was held however I will know next time to use the night deposit or go inside the branch.

We all fear for our safety around the bank employees of Comerica Bank. Do not go near this bank, EVER. They claim they park under the awning for security reasons, but where did they park before the driver thru was closed? Wouldn't you want to be closer to the bank when you leave each day? We fear for our safety around these people. They chase down people who work on other floors and try to intimidate and threaten them. We are beginning to seriously fear coming to work in the building. Just another attack on minorities in this country! Very scary.
