Posted hours are 11 PM. I was literally walking up and the girl locked the door in my face. Terrible customer service and inaccurate hours. If you say you're open till 11 you're open till 11 schedule your employees till 1130 or whatever you gotta do so they don't close early. I came from Arizona and was really looking forward to rolled tacos but it's all right. I'll go to the far superior Mendoza on E. Valley Parkway. It was only coming here because I've eaten here since I was a kid at least 25 years maybe even 30 but clearly they don't value their customers or live up to what they say. In terms of hours. The order was made incorrectly, and I tried calling the restaurant the same day to let them know, but no one ever answered the phone. I called back the following day and spoke with the manager. Instead of taking responsibility for the mistake, I was told that I should have brought the burrito back. I'm honestly confused by that expectation--why would anyone keep a day-old burrito waiting in case the restaurant finally answers the phone? After explaining that I had already thrown it away because it was no longer edible, the only solution I was offered was a refund for half the price of one burrito. That's an incredibly disappointing way to handle a mistake that was entirely the restaurant's fault. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What matters is how a business responds when they make one. Ignoring phone calls, expecting customers to save old food, and then offering only a partial refund is poor customer service. I don't know why it's taken me so long to write a review for this place because they've been my go to for a long time already. Never disappointed by the food. The salsa bar is great. My favorite thing to order is the breakfast burrito with ham, sausage and bacon. Today I had another one and it was the best one yet! Perfect with the chunky red salsa but both greens are good too. I ordered huevos rancheros with eggs over very easy. I got tortillas with one egg that was over- cooked. The eggs were full of bacon. If I had wanted eggs and bacon, I would have ordered eggs and bacon but I wanted a Mexican breakfast and huevos rancheros do not have bacon on them. Accessibility: there is no accessible parking in this lot. The only nearby accessible parking is technically part of the parking lot shared with the drive-thru Starbucks. Other than this, there should be more accessible parking made and more ramps up to the sidewalk. This parking lot is very busy on the weekends so parking might be a challenge if you need extra space. The door to enter the building is a pull door but was left propped open on a Saturday night. They do also have a bathroom inside. Experience: wow! This place is amazing. I came in, it was very well lit inside and looked clean with plenty of tables for seating inside and outside. I ordered Carne Asada Fries for $10.99 and they are AMAZING. Atmosphere and staff are about what you expect from a typical taco shop but it's also not really what you're looking for in such a spot. With so many places being so alike, it's hard to stand out, but Jilberto's has always managed to do just that. I personally can't stand when a burrito is too wet (to where you can hardly hold it) or too dry. We were in the area and was craving some Mexican food. We decided to try Jelberto and boy we were disappointed. We had Carne Asada Fries with guacamole and cheese. The fries was very old and stale. We were so hungry and literally just ate the meat off the fries and that was horrible! The meat was very dry and hard like beef Jerky. The rolled tacos barely had meat and were stale. The guacamole was old and dark. I think it looks like someone must have ordered the same thing and they were returned and left on the counter then sold it to me. Located in the same strip mall as the movie theater, this a good place to get some food before or after a movie. Their is plenty of parking and the service is friendly and quick. There are not as many tablets inside considering how spacious the space looks. The food is ok. The rolled tacos are decently good and a little thicker than most local taco shops, The beef taco was crunchy and the meat was ok. It tasted better than the rolled tacos. The salsa was ok. Would not recommend! I ordered a California burrito. It barely had fries, no pico, and the meat was off.

Stopped by while across the street at the arts center for a quick bite. I guess they're relatively new to the area. Ordered machaca fries and a 5 rolled taco special. The fries were pretty standard. Fries, cheese, meat, some pretty sad looking sour cream and sad looking guac. Looked watered down or canned. Not a lot of flavor. As another review said, salsas lacking flavor as well. Food came out fairly quick, but service was not personable. The special came with a soda which was handed to my son by the cashier, but when I asked for a water cup (there were stacks of cups at the register), the gal looked to her right and pointed at a water dispenser and cups (same cups, if not larger than some by the register). Kinda odd.... Anyway, 2.5-3 stars is pretty accurate for me as of now. I know there are better places in the area to grab a quick Mexican fix if needed. Keep on Yelp'n! read more
