There is a bucket shower that you pull to rinse off before the cold plunge and after the sauna and vice versa, which was unique. The steam in the sauna was refreshed with various aromatic scents, which I enjoyed greatly. The cold plunge was COLD but it was easier to get used to the more time you go between the sauna and cold plunge. I enjoy the complementary drinks such as tea, water, and electrolyte blend. It was Valentine's Day so they added raspberries and edible glitter to be festive which was the cutest thing ever. Definitely will be back on a day pass when Im in the area!

The sauna and cold plunge setup is top-notch, and you can tell the owners genuinely care about creating an environment that promotes both recovery and relaxation. Just like most establishments in…read moredowntown, this place doesn't have their own parking lot so give yourself a little bit more time to look for street parking. My husband and I were able to book within the same day for a 90-min experience. We had a private room with an infrared dry sauna, steam room/shower, and a small space with a bench to place our belongings. It looked like there was only one other room for a couple but I'm not sure if they had more that I didn't see? It was nice that we were able to connect our own music to the Bluetooth speakers. We paid $115 for the both of us since we upgraded $5 to include Halotherapy which is a salt capsule released in the infrared sauna. The salt capsule lasted for maybe about 20 minutes but it felt nice breathing it in. Outside on the patio, there were 2 cold plunge tubs. The colder one is a one-person pod while the less cold (which was still soooo cold) could fit 2 people but it'd be better to just do one at a time. There's also a 2-person jacuzzi outside. There's also a set of outdoor furniture that looks inviting to hang out in on a warmer day. Rosa checked us in and thoroughly explained the process since it was our first time here. She was welcoming, helpful, and patient with all of our questions. The experience itself was so rejuvenating. We stayed in the infrared sauna for about 25 minutes (they also provide sunglasses to block out the light), then the steam sauna for about 10 minutes then we hurried outside to cold plunge. We came here in the winter time and so it was already so cold out in the patio. The cold plunge felt so good after being the heat for a while but I could only last for 30-60 seconds before my body gave up. It was nice getting to scurry on over to the hot tub afterwards. Overall, we had a wonderful experience here! I wish we had something like this where I'm from. Next time we're in town for snowboarding, I'll definitely come back here again!

I've been visiting PLUNJ regularly for a few weeks and very much enjoy it. The staff are friendly…read moreand welcoming, and the facilities are clean and well-maintained. Sessions are limited to seven participants, but more often, my sessions include only two or three others, which makes the space feel more private despite being a public sauna. The people I've met have been great, and we often have engaging and fun conversations. Contrast therapy has significantly improved my physical recovery, energy levels, mood, and overall well-being. My typical routine involves spending 10 to 15 minutes in the sauna, followed by a bucket shower, then 3 minutes in the cold plunge, and finally, shivering for a few minutes to warm up slightly before returning to the sauna. Within a one-hour session, I can usually complete this routine about three times, ending in the cold. Throughout the session, the staff will check on the sauna and add fresh water with essential oils to the stones. About halfway through, they bring everyone a cup of cold electrolyte water and a frozen washcloth, which feels wonderful in the sauna. Thank you very much, PLUNJ, for a terrific experience during every visit!

I did a 60-minute session and came out completely reset--tension gone, mind clear, and that blissful float high lasted for days. Such a peaceful, restorative experience! If you're in Salt Lake City and want to rediscover (or try) float therapy, this is the place. Professional, relaxing, and highly recommended--I'll be back soon! There were clumps of hair in my shower and float pod, the TINY blue towels they provided were not sufficient enough. Most "spas" provide a little more towel coverage. This towel felt like it is what you use to dry off your car. The wall scents were wild, I would say it was a mix of jasmine and mildew. That said, I won't return and likely would never do another float. It just wasn't for me. Kai was friendly but it was slow to get set up and I believe our float time was cut short because of that.

I wanted to do something fun for date night and remembered I saw on Groupon a floating experience. (Side note, the business will match your Groupon price so you don't have to buy it through Groupon if you prefer to just purchase it at the shop.) my boyfriend was also experiencing some issues with his hip and says that this would really help! We decided on the "date float" where 2 people are inside a pod. The lid available to us was about the side of a full mattress. When you enter the room, you see the pod, a bench, a couple of changing areas and a shower stall. There's a lock on the door so you can keep your personal belongings safe. You're allowed 10 mins to rinse off and then get into the pod. We saw something floating in the water and I'm not sure what it was it it grossed me out. Maybe it was lint, but it's not comfortable to see when you're about to get naked and go inside. As soon as the capsule closed, I felt very trapped and suddenly claustrophobic. It also didn't help that the "full mattress" area didn't seem like enough room for the two of us to float comfortably without touching each other or slashing one another. I've never done this before, but I thought the keys would come on while I'm floating. So it also scared me thinking it was going to blast at me any minute. I lasted maybe 3 minutes before getting out and rinsing off. It also didn't help that I saw another couple pay for their services before we entered probably the same room and the same pod. I understand their run the jets to clean it, but just the thought of another couple being in the same pod in the same water made me feel icky. My boyfriend enjoyed it and it helped his hip. He also enjoyed that he had the big space to himself lol. Definitely not something I can do again, but If you're comfortable being in a closed space, and recycled water, your experience will be much better.
