Went to get a smog check for my car today (second one, failed the first one) and I met the most personable and friendly service person I have ever met. Kasey P serviced my car and did my smog check and kept up a friendly and personal conversation the entire time. It was a wonderful experience from a customer point of view plus it's less than a mile from my house. He also gave me some very relevant and needed information about registering my car without going to the DMV. Excellent information indeed! I'll definitely be coming back here next year! read more

Overpriced over other smog stations and no free retest like other smog stations do. Gavin apparently doesn't do a lot of European vehicles because i opened the OBD port door on the BMW for him and he still couldn't find where to plug in the cable. I had to point to it and tell him where it was. First and last time I come here. Go to places north of the 215, not only will you save yourself $10 per car, those smog guys do a lot more cars so they know where the OBD port locations are without having to have it pointed out to them. read more

Always fast and $19. I see a lot of complaints about the guy who works there and I believe that its due to his rough exterior but he is really nice once you start talking to him. When I got there I saw one car ahead of me and soon after a car tried to pull up in the port where he connects the machine but he told her we were ahead of her and had to get in line which i appreciated. I went inside to use the bathroom once he started working on the first car and finished by the time i came out. He ended up finishing mine in under a few minutes so I handed him some cash and thanked him. By the time I got home I checked the DMV website and my smog check was in their system which allowed me to pay it and get it out of the way. I like how fast their system communicates with the DMV and really was no hassle. The entire process took no more than 10 minutes and has now been my go to for the last two smog checks and will continue to support this small business. read more

After reading the reviews I'm so glad I'm not the only one with a terrible experience here. This tech is an absolute a**hole. Literally the worst attitude ever for no reason I was so shocked. I decided to leave just based on the way he was acting towards me. Rudely telling me the space in which I need to park, and barking back at me like I was an idiot when I asked him to confirm the pricing. For $33 + $10 dmv processing fee save your time and money. DO NOT GO HERE. There's smog check stations on every corner of Vegas all of which are usually $20 on average with much better technicians who actually know the meaning of customer service. I ended up going to "DMV made easy" on Durango and Flamingo (the one with all the neon yellow signs) and the attendants are all incredibly nice. You park your car and you follow the agent inside where they charge you and sit at their tables until the smog check is done and they park the car in front of the store for you. I've been there once before and remember their service charge for registration renewal is outrageous so I opted for just the smog check. $23.99 + $3 tip (optional on the screen) PLUS a free car wash! I've been living in the area and these smog guys are taking advantage of people getting it done for car Registeration renewal. This smog check establishment has been my 'spot' since I moved here four years ago. I bring my car, as well as my Mom's vehicle here. The gentlemen who work here, always cordial and engaging. Truly quite pleasant (as I wish more people in retail/customer service should be)! Never a wait, and yes even during lunch time. Please make sure you pull up an inch before the curb- the sign will instruct as well ;) Why you may inquire about me providing for stars... Yesterday morning I drove out of my way to go to this Jiffy Smog because I've used it before, but ended up leaving immediately due to the absolutely horrible behavior of your tech. When I arrived, I initially considered a quick run through the car wash that is right next to it, but didn't like the way it looked, so I backed up and began to pull forward into the parking space in front of the smog store. This took literally 10 seconds. This apparently looked like I had no clue about anything at all because the tech began to shout at me that if I wanted a smog I needed to park there, began pointing at the smog sign as if I couldn't read, throwing his hands up and shaking his head at me. I pulled in and continued to watch him shake his head at me as he got on his computer, so I opted to leave before even being approached by him. I left specifically because of his behavior, not because I'm clueless. There are smog stands on every corner. If you want to keep in business, please provide this guy with customer service training. read more

Not sure why so many negative reviews but my experience was positive. After dealing with Valvoline - - or actually not dealing with Valvoline because they don't have smog techs on duty during their stated hours of operation or a 45 minute wait if they do, I was happy to be in and out of Jiffy Smog promptly as that is all they do there is smogs. I had two vehicles I needed to smog. I took the first one and Shawn told me if I bring back my second vehicle he would give me a discount so I did. Yes, their price might be a little higher than the drive thru's you see in random parking lots but in comparison to Valvoline price was comparable and if your time is worth anything to you a few extra dollars won't matter. Not too sure why this place has so many bad reviews but the guy I spoke to on the phone was straight to the point and honest. Employee named Sean is lazy and a jerk. On this particular day on Saturday 4/22/23, they're supposed to open at 8am. He gets there but doesn't open his door until 8:45am. Finally, after 4 cars already lined up he's moving slow and is a grouch. I've been going here for years and putting up with all of the employees attitudes for convenience since it's the down the street from my home. I don't know if the owner of this company cares, but the person you have representing you at this station is probably one of the most rude, off-putting people I have experienced in the service industry! I actually forgot that he was here, because I dealt with him last time I needed a smog, and the experience was awful then. Standing outside, smoking away, no eye-contact at all when I pulled up, and body language (along with his rolling of the eyes) that clearly portrayed what a bother this job and people are to him. After visiting this location last night and having a most unpleasant encounter with the smog tech, I have to say never again Jiffy Smog. I have used your services for years and I'm done. This rep called me a covert, accused "someone" of tampering with my OBD2 sensor on my 2016 Fiat, and he failed me. Not saying people haven't done that to even newer cars but let's be real here. Then when I told him I'd come last year with the same car he pointed out another tech who is apparently rogue because he just passes everyone, no matter. Unbelievable. He failed me because he thought I was a secret shopper........ I went somewhere else and had the vehicle smogged. Imagine that, it passed!!
