I came here for a quick smog test this weekend and am glad I did. I went a little after their opening time and there was no wait at all. The person who did the test, Kenneth (or KK) was the kindest and so easy to chat with. Aside from the nice conversation, he reminded that I could/should always do my smog sooner than later justtt in case there happens to be a fail or reject. My smog test and registration was a little over $35. I was in and out in probably less than 10 minutes and off on my way for the rest of my day. I'm not sure how I want to feel about my visit. So, I pull up, and the technician comes out without saying a word and just starts the process. I asked a question about the car that must have been a stupid question, because he gave me this look of "I can't believe you even asked me that." Then he answered the question. He finished the job, asked for payment, and we were done. The customer service/hospitality was completely lacking. BUT... Because there were no conversations or pleasantries, this process went by extremely fast!!! I think I was in an out in like 3 mins flat. Like wow! That was perfectly done and the fastest I have ever ever gotten a SMOG done. So now I'm like "oh well, no need to be nice cause you got the job done amazingly." So hence my dilemma of how to review this. Lol. Overall, I got what I wanted and got it in a very efficient manner. Now I know not to expect hospitality, and I guess that's just okay. It didn't take away from me getting my SMOG done like I needed. If you're in a hurry, then definitely stop here!! If you need a friendly conversation, go elsewhere. read more

This is my go to place for a smog check every year. This place is fast, friendly, and convenient. The convenient part coincides with the DMV kiosk being a block down the street. The cost of the smog seems to be of a reasonable value. The computer system automatically knows that I have car insurance. I don't even have to show proof of insurance anymore. Late post for my visit on 3/21. I was actually headed to a different company to get my smog done but passed by this spot on my way there. Since there was no line, I did 2 quick U-turns and pulled right in. The guy who assisted me was very soft spoken and it was hard to hear him since the location is on a main and busy street. Got my smog check done today. It was $25.99, no wait and took about 5 minutes. I pulled in, left the car running, the attendant came out, hooked up the machine, waited a couple of minutes, paid, and I was on my way. My only complaint is I called a couple times this morning but no one answered, and there's no message leaving their hours of operation, if they're closed for lunch, etc. So I got there at 12:35 and saw a note that they were closed until 1pm (ugh). I come here because I know it'll be quick and painless. There's never a line. I was finished in less than 10 minutes. The technicians I've encountered are friendly and efficient. SCAM. If you have the time do not go here. In my many years getting my cars smogged have I ever felt cheated until this place. They charge you whether their equipment works or not. The guy scanned my car and attached a cable for 10 seconds and said his machine could not read my car then charged me $15. He said if I drive 70 miles and come back his machine would be able to read my car. I did just that and came back and 10 seconds later he says his machine still can't read my car and charged me another $15. I drove it 5 minutes down the road to Warm Springs and LasVegas Blvd. That smog shop was cheaper and doesn't charge for faulty equipment. Today is December 11 and it is 3 PM. The guy there today has a tank top and shorts on with a hat and is covered in tattoos and let me tell you right now. He is probably the worst employee or owner or whatever he is to this place but he is absolute trash. He stands around like an incompetent moron -and he probably is. I have been to several other smog places in Las Vegas over the years and this is the only place I've ever come to where the employee or person running it at the time doesn't communicate with the people needing service. This guy literally just stood there and said nothing and everybody was completely confused as to what the heck was going on, who was next or how many people were ahead of us. Just trying to get a general idea of the order. This guy sucks. Whoever is working here on this day at this time needs to have proper training and I can't believe I'm actually saying that because it should not be hard to run a smog location. Aside from doing your actual job the only other thing you have to do is approach the customers car as they're pulling up and just let them know how many other vehicles are in front of them and when they will be next as far as "first car second car, third car" etc.. I brought my car on a Monday, and had such a positive experience that my husband brought his car back the following Sunday. The guy doing my check was super courteous and worked very quickly! With COVID making many of us nervous, there was zero contact and the employees all wear masks. It's 100% outside too, so it's easy to keep your social distance. Probably the best service I've gotten out of all my smog check services. The attendant that assisted me was friendly and funny. His jokes made up for the server going down midway through and it being hot outside. For someone that's been working out in the sun for 8 hours, had nothing to eat all day and didn't even have a break, he was way more chipper than I would've been. A+ for his service and his bright attitude! Overall, I'm glad I found a place near me that's quick and has great service. Parking is a little tight. So, lining up may be a little confusing at first. Yelp does it again. I looked at Yelp to find a spot around the way to get my smog done. I usually go to a spot near the DMV but there's so many smog places now a days (and you can always go to a kiosk or even online to renew your registration). This place had the option to take care of the registration for an extra $10. I was able to get a smog check and take care of my registration in less than 10 minutes on a Saturday. So I wanted to wait to finish the review, but I could not find the mans name who helped me. He is an older African-American man who was also a Fed employee before retirement. I drove up, and he was chipper and happy to help me on a weekend. We got through the process within a few minutes, and he took the time to explain everything. He did not attempt to push the extra registration process down my throat when I told him I was going to do it on my own.
