That time of year has come again: time to renew my car registration. Along with it, is the annual smog check. For years and years I've been going to the same place which was great because it's local, I know the hours, and never had any issues. Today however, my usual spot was unexpectedly closed for who knows why, so I had to find another smog check. Thank you Yelp, because if you, I found another place down the road at EJ's. Easily accessible from a major street and it's in the parking lot of a convenience store. I didn't have any cars ahead of me, but if there were, it's be perfect to hop inside for a little snack while I wait. The experience went smoothly, and at under ten minutes, it was also quickly. Turns out also, this place is close to my home. Looks like I've found my new regular spot.

Quickest smog check that I've ever done. I usually go to USA Auto for my smog checks, but of course along with the smog check they always "find" something wrong that needs to get fixed on the vehicle. I already have a great mechanic (Bobby) with Motor City Auto Care, so I already know what needs to be maintained or repaired because Bobby would have reminded me. EJ's smog was quick, efficient, and the value was good. Took about 10 minutes and I was done. I didn't have to hear about brakes needing to be changed, unnecessary fluid flushes, or non itemized estimates for premature scheduled work. Will come back next year for sure. read more

Car registration renewal time so needed my car smogged. Check out some reviews liked what I read about EJ's smog (plus it was on my way home). Stopped and had a great experience. Great customer service, very clean parking spots (a total of three reserved parking spots) Smog shop is located on the corner and has a quickly mart in the same parking lot. Luckily I was the only one there so my smog was really quick, less than 10 mins total time from start to finish. Price was very reasonable and in line with other smog shops. read more

Nice guy!! Go here for your Smog.. Individual owner/operator.. I took my 2005 Corolla there this past Friday... I have been there before & will keep going... I won't go to the mechanic shops who offer coupons because they are looking to find something wrong with your car that isn't while it is there... This owner is keeping his price as reasonable as possible while others are trying to charge $25... I just keep driving on from $25 for sure.... He has a 2nd location at Jones & Twain... read more

This is my first time getting a smog test in Nevada. It was also last minute since I didn't realize I needed to get a smog test for my renewal. It was close to my place. There was no line when arrived. The worker there was quick and polite to work with. He was understanding and answered all the questions I asked. Price was good for its value. Same person doing the smog check; friendly, courteous and excellent price total $18 cash with the certificate! There's no up sale like others in Las Vegas.. I live super close to this little hut. I can eye the amount of vehicles currently waiting and just roll on up on my way home from work or errands. The service is fast and efficient. Never any issues and the DMV gets the electronic send in mere seconds. The customer service levels are always on par! Friendly and approachable staff. He said unfortunately there was no coupon offers available and that the one on Yelp was an old coupon and they just haven't taken it off. Ok? So if you go here thinking you're gonna save yourself $4.... Maybe check other locations nearby first cause the price here for inspection was $33. I know there are other options a bit cheaper than this place. Might not be much cheaper. But every penny counts.
