I paid over $2,700.00 for my A/C to be repaired and visited them 3 times, last time I went to this shop, owner was rude and suggested that his quality of work was perfect and I that I should to the MB dealership to check what the issue was. So I did go to the MB dealership and my car was repaired Here the issue Fuse box was circuited short by the reused of a circuited short A/C plug that burned down rebuilt compressor that they said it was a brand new part. I pick this guy because he was not the lowest guy. Pick up my car and drove it less than a mile or two and it started smoking profusely. Come to find out the pump that they installed was defective and spewed power steering fluid all over the inside of my engine compartment and consequently because I was driving the entire car back end and was covered in oil. They kept my car for two more days after having it for two days and didn't even bother to hose the car off let alone get it washed. Obviously I won't be going back. read more

I really did a lot of research before taking my car in for a tube up. I've been ripped off repeatedly by "mechanics ". I finally decided on Dave's Auto Tech based on all the research and reviews. Amazing!! He did the tune up in one day, told me the oil change I had done three weeks previously, probably wasn't done at all due to the fact that I had less than a quart of oil and it was mud. He changed everything, installed all new filters and plugs etc and charged me one fourth of what I previously paid for the same thing. I don't know him, he's not a relative or a friend of a friend. The first trip I made here I spoke with an employee who told me Dave was not in on weekends. That Dave hated any cars in the shop when he came in on Mondays so they would get my car serviced asap. They did an amazing job. Fixed an exhaust issue with a welding within an hour for $100. It even fixed a recurring issue we could not sort. Second visit my wife dropped of our same vehicle because it had lost some of its acceleration power. She told him that we had brought it to him recently just to let him know if it was a possibly related issue. He called me later to say he found nothing wrong with the van. It drives "fine" for an old car. I said yes it is fine but it is way worse than a week ago. He then told me that it wasn't an exhaust issue so it's not his fault and said that maybe my wife just had it in "drive 2 or something". I picked it up and it was driving loud and low powered just like I had said. First visit was 5 stars then I talked to Dave... one star is generous. Being defensive and rude when I never implied he caused and insulting my wife's intelligence wasn't great customer service. It's sad when an owner can't even understand the concept of "customer facing positions". He would be better off leaving his business to his employees and staying home. We were visiting from Cali, and our engine started smoking, and fluid was all over the engine and leaking from the vehicle. We spoke to 3 different mechanics ( one being our mechanic in Cali) who said it sounds like your water pump needs to be replaced. I called many local mechanics, and Dave he gave me a competitive quote over the phone, so we chose him to do the repairs. After having the vehicle towed to his shop, he assessed the vehicle himself and found it was a broken radiator cap, which explained the fluid leak and water all over the engine. He replaced the cap, checked it again the next day for possible leaked, and found nothing. He charged me nothing when I picked up the vehicle. I definitely recommend this shop because the owner is honest and has integrity. I tried to give him $25 for his time, and he wouldn't take it. I am thankful that we found an honest service shop even while being away from home. read more

I brought my car in to have my turbocharger replaced. They had it done in a day, which was amazing. When I brought it home I had some oil leaking, and I called them right away. They had my car towed back to the shop and fixed the leak, which was a gasket. And had the car back the next day. Honestly the customer service here was amazing. They took care of everything, even with the oil leak they fixed it right away. Very impressed. read more

My family has been coming to Dave for years now and after a bad experience with a different mechanic, I know why my family only trust this shop with all of their auto needs. Being a new-ish transplant to Vegas I wish I had known this earlier and come here from the start.
