Great customer service. Very quick! And easy! I'm surprised I'm actually writing a review about getting an oil change, but Jiffy Lube did such a great job! This was my first time here. I pulled up midday on a weekend, someone immediately greeted me and escorted me to the waiting area. Although it was crowded in there, it had free coffee and wifi. It was only about 15 minutes later that a tech took me out to the garage to review the recommended services for my vehicle. He was thorough, but not pushy. I appreciate his input, but didn't feel too pressured on anything, which felt good overall. 10 minutes later my car was already ready! First and last time to go to this Jiffy Lube. Had to fill out my own information on the tablet, My car takes 7 quarts of oil and Rayon put 5 quarts in and checked the dipstick then added more and checked it again then put the dipstick in and added oil until it was full I hope because he never showed me the level on my dipstick. Came in for an oil change and they failed to re secure the splash shield under the car. It partially fell down and folded under the car half way down the highway. Just poor attention to detail. Chose this shop and location bc it was closest to our new home and open until 6pm. I found myself in a bind: check engine light along w/ "Oil Maintenance Required" msg popped up and already knew I had some other issues going on. I didn't want to mess around! Most stores seemed to be similarly priced, so chose to support this neighborhood location on the pike (next to Hooters...difficult to turn out of the lot!!!!) I already had a coupon on my phone from their website, $15 off full synth change. I had no idea it would be $95 - after coupon!!!! Other chains similarly priced, but I would've gone with a classier place for the price! Used to pay $65-70 at our local shop! No wait @5pm on a Tuesday. I chose to wait in the very smalll but clean and tidy waiting room with cold AC! Weird odor that bothered spouse's allergies; hot/cold water + tv. Topped off fluids. But I will NOT be coming back here, I'll go to Walmart up the road for $55 for the same service, and I can get my groceries while I wait and the extra $50 can pay for them!!! When I asked about coupons, AAA rate, any way to lower - it seemed to aggravate the employee + manager as they came out. * !!! Multiple coupons allowed, but only 1 PER EACH service....this location doesn't accept Groupon coupons! read more

Avoid this place. emptied my oil out of my car before giving me prices and dropped the price by ten dollars once I pointed that out. Told me the last place broke my drain plug and I have been leaking oil which isn't true because I check for that. Now I have to get a mechanic to fix the problem they definitely caused by using a powered drill to take off the drain plug when you're supposed to use a hand tool. read more

I like that I could pick my oil/price bracket, and that Sam made recommendations without too much pressure. Best of all, I didn't have to wait long, only twenty minutes, even on a busy Sunday. Jiffy wasn't the closest place for me, but leaving quick made it worth the trip. An aside, I was amazed to find that another person in the waiting area said he had made the trip from East Windsor--I guess it was worth the trip for someone else too. After a routine oil change at another dealer kept my car hostage for 10 hours, I was definitely in the market for a new place. I visited this Jiffy Lube around noontime on a Saturday and left very impressed. For starters, I never got out of my car, just drove into one of the three service bays and rolled down my window. Not more than 20 minutes later I was on my way, with a full tank of fresh oil. There was no pressure to upgrade or buy any unnecessary stuff; they gave me a choice of which oil and then got to work. I loved how I thought I needed an oil change and no one told me and just changed perfectly full, good oil in my tank. Then tried to sell me really expensive oil. Leroy the GM called me a psycho when I brought this up! Awesome! Then they refused to put oil back in my car basically holding me and my year old baby hostage til I had to call the police to mediate. All this when they could've just told me I was chill- didn't need the oil and earned my business in the future through trust. Made a complaint with the BBB! Jiffy Lube of Wethersfield off the Berlin Turnpike is literally highway robbery. I came in expecting to pay about 25$ for a basic oil change. I seen the reviews on yelp and they were mostly positive and the management seems to reply to each one. However, I am very skeptical of this place after having gone. I am not sure the price was listed for oil changes in the store. There are basic service prices listed but for an oil change (probably the most popular service offered by car servicing companies)there was no price listed anywhere. I haven't been to an oil change service in over 3 years since I always go to Crowley Kia for all my services. This time I needed a oil change same day because I'm taking a road trip. At Crowley Kia I pay 15$ for an oil change and 5 for the change of an air filter. Bottom line it cost 47$ for a basic oil change. This is a really inflated price!!!!! I haven't been anywhere even before Crowley Kia with these prices. I expect to pay 30$ no more for an oil change. This was over three times what it cost from where I go. Service technicians were friendly. However even this I am skeptical of based off the corporate model of high pricing and no advertisement of price for service. Also one of these yelp reviews should be taken down claiming 25$ since this is false. Hope this helps. It's nice to see that Jiffy Lube now has a budget option. It's about time. For $24.99 and no extra charges other than tax, you just get a freakin' oil change. Finally, an option for the people who have come to their senses, and know you don't need all that extra crap they upsell you on. They changed my oil, topped off my fluids, put a little air in the tires, and sent me away in about 20 minutes. Bing, bang, boom. Of course, I was eventually upsold on all that rubbish... fuel system treatments, wiper blades, brake fluid flushes... nonsense. But like a depressed divorcee to a desperate stripper, I politely said no thanks. They greet you at your car and come off as very friendly. I even asked them to ensure that my drain plug and oil filter were hand tight at the end of the job (because I do most of my own oil changes), and they were happy to oblige. read more

I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I know my car needs full synthetic so I was expecting about $130 for it. But they added an air filter and some liquid exchange that they insisted I needed and the total came to $280....absolutely absurd. all because they saw a girl come in and knew I wouldn't know what they were talking about. It was an extremely hot and humid day in July. We had traveled 5 hours without air conditioning to learn that a family member at Hartford Hospital would not survive his auto accident injuries. As we left Hartford Hospital to head to our hotel, the brakes did not work properly. We fortunately got to Jiffy Lube in Wethersfield ( 1761 Berlin Turnpike), where we limped into the garage. We planned to have the air conditioning addressed, and also asked them to look at the brakes. Did we need more fluid? The Jiffy Lube team quickly determined we had a broken brake line and advised us that it was unsafe to drive further. We left our car at a neighboring garage. Then the Jiffy Lube team went above and beyond normal service and drove us down the Berlin Turnpike to a car rental so that we could continue to the hotel for the evening. Their kindness and professionalism during this time of personal sorrow and stress was extraordinary! read more

Jiffy Lube righted a big wrong for me today and have gained my business from now on. Previously, I had gotten brakes on my car and had to subsequently take them them in multiple times for the squeaking and grinding sounds. Today, I brought my car in and asked them to give it another check. The manager, Darrion, informed me the old manager was gone and assured me I would be taken care of. He got to the root of the problem and made me feel like he cared for my car as much as I do. As someone who drives for a living this was a huge relief. Swung by for an oil change and the staff was extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. Went over and above and treated me like royalty. Very clean waiting room. Might I make one suggestion to the owner: it could be a missed opportunity not to sell car products in your shop like cleaning supplies, air fresheners, car accessories etc. It's a convenience thing so I think you could even get away with charging a slightly higher markup than larger automotive stores. This may sound odd, but Jiffy Lube convinced me not to get an oil change at my recent appointment, and I could not be more appreciative of their assistance! Upon bringing my car into the bay, the technician found my oil pan gasket to be seeping, and let me see it and photo it for myself. He advised that if I take it back to the dealer, the repair might be covered under warranty. But if Jiffy Lube changed the oil, the dealer might attempt to shift blame for the issue to them, and leave me with the full cost of the repair bill. I took my car to the dealer that same afternoon, and got both the oil pan gasket and oil and filter replaced, under warranty, zero cost to me. The staff at Jiffy Lube took time to show and explain the concern to me, and treated me with respect, even though I ultimately had no business with them. AVOID this place ... only job they do is oversell things you do NOT need at a HIGH price ... they show people the same clogged filter and TELL YOU it is YOURS when it is not ... just to get you to a higher bill .... Went there for a oil change, they said they checked my tires and never did, they said they vacuumed the SUV and they never did. Didn't show me the oil level on the dip stick and when I checked it at home it was half a quart low. Will not go back. read more

My engine light was on and I was desperate because I had a long ride home so I called. He said they were closing in 15 minutes but he would wait for me. Sam was awesome. Love Jiffy Lube. Been going there for years. Service with a smile, fast and efficient. Use a coupon and save $5 - $10. Jiffy Lube costs more but you get more than just a basic oil change. Tires inflated, interior vacuumed, windows washed and free top-offs. I'm usually good for a free quart of oil and windshield washer fluid between oil changes. You get what you pay for. read more

Been using this location for 3 years now for all 4 of my cars. I usually pick a time when it's not busy. I can be in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. Melissa is my technician and always says "welcome back" when I come in. They do attempt to up-sell services and products (always the air filter), but are not high pressure and take "no" easily. read more

Went to Walmart 2-16-17 for a oil change for the very last time was pissed because they refused to put the oil of my choice due to high Milage. I called Jiffy Lube spoke to a respectful employee who knows how to do business ( Samuel Dukes) upon arrival he said Sir I'll be right with you and all said and done oil of my choice no pressure sales he had me out the door even with a discount very thankful. Samuel and another employee did a efficient, fast and organized service on my sons truck Mazda B2500 if you need a hassle free oil change or any other maintenance service don't hesitate to come here. I showed the worker a coupon from the company's website and asked if I could use it. The worker looked at iy and said yes. After the work was finished, the clerk, who apparently was the manager said the coupon code wasn't working so he couldn't honor it. I had to argue and argue so then he went on the computer and said he found another coupon that was working but it was for a smaller amount, and he acted like he was doing me a favor by saying I could use a coupon for a smaller amount than the coupon I had. He said,"I didn't have to show you that." He generally had a rude manner. The worker there also had asked for a phone number prior to starting work. I didn't want to give a phone number. She said they couldn't change the oil without a phone number. Eventually, another worker said to just put a fake number. They asked which type of oil I wanted but they were unable to explain anything about the different choices. Service was all around lousy and prices are high, and the unethical business practices make it unacceptable read more

So, I never wrote a Yelp review before this moment. But I have to say I have never been more excited to go get my oil changed then I am today. My last experience was over the top amazing. The people that work there make the difference for sure! I drove in they immediately started working on my car- through out the whole experience, they provided excellent service, laughter, and helpful information (what to get fixed) with my suv. The gentleman Sam was so pleasant he made my experience enjoyable, and educational (honestly learned so much from being in there normally people will just tell you wha needs fixed and when I ask why they say "because it's time too" Sam provided reasoning and made me feel secure with his knowledge about it). Drove an hour to get new tires at this jiffy lube, for such a great price how could I resist? I was able to spend an affordable amount that fit just under my budget as the price I paid included getting my new tires mounted and balanced. (Not to mention the positive energy it received as I walked in and the cleanliness of the establishment exceeded my expectations by far ) Some of The local places in my area claim to give you a great deal when in reality you end up paying an arm and a leg for mediocre service done in a filthy environment done by employees with a half ass attitude. I'd rather drive an hour to ensure my overall safety and be able to walk out of the door knowing that the employees strive for their best to make sure that the customer leaves happy and feeling SAFE.
