I called corporate and they submitted a motion for reimbursement in which the store wrongfully denied, without notice with no willingness to rectify, WHEN I WAS WILLING TO PAY! Why have business and not adhere to your own hours of operation? Talk about a lack of integrity and accountability. I brought the vehicle in to have my winter wheels swapped for my summer set. At drop-off, the vehicle had 39,784 miles. During the visit, the owner represented that he owned an Audi R8 RWS and was experienced working on these vehicles, including performing oil changes. During the service, I was instructed that the vehicle needed to be driven while one quart below the maximum oil level. I was also informed that the car would be test driven, and it was taken off-site before being returned and "topped off" prior to being released back to me. Additionally, payment for the service was requested via Venmo to a personal account rather than through a standard business payment method (documentation available and attached with identifying details redacted). Within approximately 30 miles of driving after the service (at approximately 39,815 miles), the vehicle experienced catastrophic engine failure. The vehicle had to be towed (photo documentation available). The car was subsequently inspected at Grove Automotive 2.0. I was informed that the oil filter contained significant copper material, and an oil analysis performed at that facility also indicated elevated copper levels. I was advised that these findings can be associated with severe internal engine damage (supporting documentation attached). Following this inspection, I received repair estimates exceeding $70,000. Given the extremely short interval between the service performed and the engine failure, along with the practices described above and the findings from the inspecting facility, I have serious concerns regarding the quality and standard of work performed on my vehicle. I am sharing this experience to document the issue and to encourage others to exercise caution, particularly when entrusting high-value or high-performance vehicles to this shop. I recommend that consumers fully document all work performed and consider obtaining a second opinion before authorizing service. Been going here for a couple of years now. Tom and his crew are attentive, honest, and do good work. They don't push me to do more than I want, and the work is always done quickly and correctly. My Honda is close to the end of its useful life, and I don't want to put too much more money into it before it retires. They don't seem to judge my beat-up car. When my car failed inspection in PA, I brought it here for the repairs. They seemed a bit confused with the inspection report and doubted the need for all the repairs named. Tom called his colleagues at a Tires Plus in PA to ask about it. We followed their advice, made the repairs they felt were necessary or recommended, and took it elsewhere for re-inspection. Sadly, the shop that originally inspected us (also a repair shop) seemed to be trying to drum up business for their services. I will bring any future vehicle here because I feel like I'm getting a fair price. They honor the warranties on the tires they sell, and I can log into my online account for a record of my services. Still have the same problem rear brakes are still bad and it almost seems like no work was done. Didn't show me the new parts that he got for the car nor did he show me the bad or old parts. Unlike the other shops, which basically said "we'll just tell you orally what's wrong with the car," InTown described an established process and a detailed checklist of what they look for. And sure enough, at the conclusion of the two-hour inspection, they provided us with an extremely detailed report that covered dozens of aspects of the vehicle. It was very thorough, with photographs, and they gave it to us in print and electronic form. They then walked us through the report--my husband and I know very little about cars--and explained the issues in a way we could understand. They gave us a very honest assessment of what would be involved in purchasing this car (which they described as "a project"); they were quite candid, and they did not sugarcoat what we'd have to do if we bought the car. In the end, we decided to not go through with the purchase, since we don't know much about cars and aren't into "projects." I was very impressed with InTown Auto Care. We don't live in the Moorestown area, but if we did, I would come to them for all my car-care needs.
