    This is after the ladies in Tacoma cleaned up most of the oil

    These guys told me my 1998 ford escort had an oil filter in a difficult spot and someone just stole all their tools so they couldn't do my oil change because my transmission was too hot for his hands. They told me to go to another station in Tacoma. Upon arrival and inspection of the vehicle, the oil cap to the engine was not properly replaced back onto the engine causing oil leakage all under the hood of my car. Then after the ladies in Tacoma jiffy looked, they said it isn't in a difficult spot at all and most likely they just didn't want to do it. The ladies in Tacoma can manage mechanics better than these boys... and didn't complain once.

    Jiffy Lube-----Good guys ! Great service! It was inaugural day and needed an oil change. Was just a Firestone to get an oil change but there was about a two hour window of service, meaning, that Firestone Lakewood WA could service the vehicle however there would be a wait to be seen and then the oil change would take about one hour of precious time. Time that would be consumed out of s busy schedule. So, politely thanked them ( Firestone ) for trying but asked if they knew of a Jiffy Lube near by. What do you know ???? They did. So, we find the Jiffy Lube and pull right up. Three technicians come out to greet us all dressed in Jiffy Lube uniforms. Apparently, they were ready to help, even on a wonderful inaugural day. A beautiful day because now we have areal man who cares about the wellbeing of our nation. Who is this, one might ask?...... I'll tell you ----- Incredibly brilliant business man, PRESIDENT DONALD J TRUMP. Pardon me, I digress. So, we're being guided on the shop floor by the service technician. (They allow you to remain in the vehicle if you so desire.) then they begin with the oil change. BRIAN was his name. Nice young man. A man who really likes his job and wants the best for Jiffy Lube's customers. Lickity split, they proceed to change the oil,check all the fluids, grease 11 zirk fittings and offer additional services! Wow ! Extraordinary friendly service!! By the way, if management of Harland Automotive is reading this, may I suggest that you give this BRIAN a raise and a promotion! Don't loose him to another company like Midas or Firestone. Pay him good. In fact, paying employees well makes everyone happy, customers and staff alike. After sharing discourse with PAM the Harland fleet services manager to discuss fleet rates, I must say unequivocally, that the discounted rate applied to our account was so meager that I FELT INSULTED. JIFFY LUBE WAS TOO CHEAP WITH RESPECT TO GENERATING INCENTIVES TO RETAIN LOYALTY. Which leads me to draw the conclusion that JiffyLube may also be too cheap to retain good employees. ( My three cents )

    Jim and his Jiffy Lube crew are fantastic people!  When I suffered a tire blow out they put the spare on for me at no cost!

    Around 4:30pm on Saturday, March 18, 2017 I was engaged in a very busy day of private dog training, on my way to the north end of Tacoma. I went through Lakewood because of an accident on northbound I-5. On 100th St SW approaching Lakewood Drive I suffered a tire blowout, and limped into the nearest parking lot, right behind Jiffy Lube. An employee came right out to see if I needed help. I thanked him and declined, as I intended to fix the tire with Fix-A-Flat. That didn't work, so I began the task of removing the spare tire and jack from my trunk. Suddenly I heard a man say, "Hey, why don't you drive inside carefully and we'll put your spare tire on for you?" It was Jim, the Jiffy Lube manager. I was astonished, and took him up on his offer. Jim and his crew put my spare on for me, put the flat tire in my trunk and checked all the tires, putting the love on my dog, Rocky Junior, too. I was so impressed with their helpfulness and generosity that I had them do a lube, oil and filter on my car. There are still good people in the world, and Jim and his crew are definitely among them. They helped me at NO COST, out of the goodness of their hearts. Highly recommended!

Landon (I think that was his name) checked my oil and told me that it was great, then explained why my car was telling me that it was at 20% life (mileage OR date from last change). DO NOT GO HERE. 12/31/25 I went in for an oil change at the Lakewood WA Take 5 Oil Change at 940 am. The Take 5 dumped our transmission fluid out instead of the oil and then double filled our oil. I left the Take 5 and the dash board lit up light a Christmas tree and I could not correctly accelerate. I made it a block down the road into the town center. This was enough to destroy the transmission, leaving large amount of metal debris in the transmission. Luckily my husband was in the area and was able to pick up myself and our 17 month old daughter. We went immediately back to the Take 5 where Leslie Avila (current manager) reviewed employee footage, verified the mistake, admitted fault and apologized. Per their policy they had to redo the oil change and they incorrectly had to add new transmission fluid (did not flush out old stuff just added new). Mind you this was now having to be done in the town center parking lot. We had to waste our whole day getting the Take 5 to tow our car to the dealership. By the time we got our car towed and got a rental it was 330pm. For two weeks we kept trying to call the Lakewood Take 5 Oil; their phone was not working. When they did pick up Leslie did not provide accurate information on the status of our vehicle and would refuse to send us anything in writing admitting fault. If we managed to get a hold of her she would give snobby answers and communicate through other employees. Leslie repeatedly insisted she was in communication with the dealership, which was not always accurate when we followed up ourselves. We finally heard from the dealership that our transmission would need a total replacement due to large amounts of metal fragments in the transmission fluid as well as the loud noises coming from the transmission indicating grinding of the gears. The dealership quoted us over 10,000 in damages. Leslie would refuse to give us contact info for upper management. We had to do our own research and contact the district manager, John White and owner, Rick Pierce, ourselves. We emailed Mr. White and left a voicemail for Mr. Pierce with no response from either. Neither of them care about customer service or providing information to customers who have experienced issues from their business. An apology would have been nice after 10k in damage and for putting my wife and child in reckless endangerment. Never called to apologize about their mistake totaling our vehicle. Around January 21st, the dealership service advisors visited the Take 5 to inform them they would be charged 100 a day for the courtesy loaner vehicle and car storage. Miraculously we were contacted within days by the insurance company to begin the process of evaluating our car. This had previously not happened. This process of settling with their insurance has taken almost two months, and countless hours of time and frustration as well as numerous trips to the dealership to help facilitate communication with Take 5 Oil. Through our research we have discovered the Take 5 Oil change company is known arcoss the US for damaging and mishandling vehicles and the Lakewood WA location is no different. Save your money, do not go here. What was supposed to be routine maintenance caused extensive damage to our vehicle rendering it undrivable. If you have a 20-80k vehicle, don't trust these people to take care of you or your car. Because they don't. They are focused on fast turnover and quick service that leads to careless mistakes. At the company level customer service is not a priority. Save yourself time, frustration and money.

No other mechanics in the area had openings that afternoon or took drive ins, so I was relieved to hear that they have drive in PPI's. The mechanics were super knowledgeable about the local used car dealerships and were able to give me some pointers. They were also able to quickly find that the car I was looking at had some transmission issues that the dealership was trying to cover up, and kindly advised me against the purchase. I'm really thankful that they found the issue and saved me from purchasing a car with transmission issues that could cost $3k-$4k to repair. The only downside is that the PPI cost $140 before tax and after being in a bad car situation, I definitely felt that financially.

I had to jump it again so I took it in. I didn't have an appointment but the shop was able to get to it quickly and found that the alternator was really under-performing (the van's 26 years old). I got my van back early the next morning. It is starting without hesitation. I scheduled an oil change (that I would have to wait on). I brought my van in at the appointed time and was out in less than an hour. I scheduled my car for an oil change with the same result. The shop didn't try to sell me any additional services (I dread that). What a relief! I brought my vehicles in for specific services and that's what I got. I welcome recommendations for future maintenance, they help me plan. However, I hate to take a vehicle in for one thing, and no other complaints, only to have the shop tell me I need to have multiple other services. Everyone in the shop was very nice and professional and took the time to talk to me.

Charged me for Volvo parts but used cheap parts instead and I just had to have my front brakes replaced by another place 1 year later! Since when do brakes need to be replaced on a yearly basis? Sad thing is, I tried to go back to this place and they denied the noise and problem even though I was within the warranty window. There is no way brakes should have to be replaced yearly - cheaps parts we're used and the job was done poorly.
