I was having my oil changed at a dealership they told me the filter had been tighten too much and they could not replace the filter. I went back to the Jiffy Lube location in Stuart that originally installed the filter and Eric not only replaced the filter thread housing he gave me my next oil change with his compliments as a good faith measure. Eric was not the manager when those negative reviews were posted so you can trust that he is a very competent and trustworthy manager that would not tolerate bad behavior. At my oil change they gave me this paper and said my brakes needed attention and were dangerous. I took it to my mechanic and he said nothing wrong at all, pads are at least 75% and brake fluid clear. Very scary they are trying to scam us like this. I wouldn't of had jiffy lube do my brakes anyway, but still! My response to Jiffy lubes comment... I would not expect you to "account for my outside mechanic", but I would expect you to listen to a loyal customer who has brought a legitimate concern to your attention. And this mechanic is someone who I have known and used for more than 10 years. My instructions to him were as follows "I know my brakes were bad because the good folks at Jiffy Lube examined my vehicle and determined they were so go ahead and fix them". My "outside" mechanic called me and said that he will replace them if I really wanted him to, but there is nothing wrong with them, they have plenty of life left and I can't add any brake fluid because your brake fluid is full". So at best, your people are incompetent and your "standard evaluation process" that you stand behind is flawed. And at worst your people are liars and frauds. I fear for the elderly or the people that just trust you. Would they have just replaced them or been honest in the long run and said no you don't need anything? I have the documentation to prove it and I think I will contact the Consumer Division of the FL State Attorneys office and file a complaint since you do not seem to want to take ownership of the problem. read more

My $300 oil change experience. I have to use the fleet service my company provides to maintain my company vehicle, which I feel is abused each time I have to get the truck serviced The air filter was changed AGAIN to the tune of $70, also the wiper blades $80 are changed regardless of the condition of the existing wipers which worked fine. I understand the importance of keeping on top of maintenance, however the condition of the items being replaced do not require it, this seems to be Jiffy Lubes company policy whether you need it or not, nobody shows me the condition of anything, or explains the reason why. The impression I get is if you have a fleet card it's open season to sell you as much as possible. Enough about pushing unneeded replacement parts and let's get down to the nuts and bolts of the oil change. I know for a fact my truck has 10 grease fittings on the steering joints and upper/lower ball joints, each time I ask if the Chassis lube is included with the oil change service, and I'm usually told yes it is and that I don't require it because there are no serviceable fittings on my vehicle, or I'm told yes we did it as indicated on my invoice. Well I understand this task requires a little effort and is not as easy as selling a $70 air filter or an $80 pair of wiper blades, however the vehicle requires it and it's included in the service and yet when I inspected the fittings none of them have been touched. Please see the attached pic's. So I decided to inspect my $70 air filter install and found the air box open and the screws loose. Now I know the service people are not mechanics, however when simple tasks are not completed properly I begin to wonder if these people should be Unleashed on the public and trusted to service your vehicle. I called this store and explained my findings, and was told to bring the vehicle back and this" General Manager" Will inspect my findings and proceed as required. Well I already spent 1hour being serviced by you guys, and seen the results so thanks but no thanks. I decided to get out my grease gun and lube the Chassis myself, then I installed the cover of the air box Properly, also I sent the pictures to our fleet manager and told them don't pay the bill until you have a phone discussion with them. Now I hate nitpicking someone else's work however for $300 I would expect a proper oil change and not this level of incompetence regardless of who's paying for it. Stay away. I went for an oil change on my Ford pickup truck. Thay said it would be $119.00 for synthetic oil. I thought it was high but I didn't have time to shop around. They said it could be more if I needed more than 5 quarts. This is not the first time they changed oil on a Ford pickup. They knew how much oil that truck needed, and they knew what the real cost would be. They ended up charging me $190.00. I also just noticed they were running a special on synthetic oil changes. There is a $35.00 discount. They never mentioned that. They also made several "recommendation's" for service that needed done. I told them I would decline and be going to an Acura dealership to have them look at it. I was even told "those dealerships like to charge more". I drove to the Acura dealership that day and was told my brakes were completely fine, and was told if my back brakes ever have to be fixed it would be closer to 300$. Never go here!! read more

I originally set up an oil change at my dealership I bought my vehicle from on a Saturday after being told I could get a shuttle back to my house to take care of time sensitive stuff while the oil change was being done. When I arrived, I was told it would also be 2+ hours for the oil change even though I scheduled this appointment a week in advance and there was indeed NO shuttle service on the weekends. I cancelled my appt, completed my time sensitive things at home then stopped by Jiffy Lube because of a coupon I had received in the mail for $25 off. I pulled up and Mike greeted me and was so kind. There were a few different things that needed to be fixed and he expressed what was most important and what could wait so I wasn't not spending a large amount of money that day that I did not prepare for. I was in and out within 30 minutes or so. There were 2 cars ahead of me and the wait was still sooo short! I will not be going back to the dealership for any work ever again. Like many other reviews about this franchise I agree the prices for services are too high. $35 for tire rotation? No thanks; it's included at some places with oil change. $10 for waste disposal fee? Excessive! My $99 oil change still cost me $127 even after a $10 coupon. I Will take my business elsewhere and vote with my wallet. I will say the service was prompt and courteous. I hope the employees are paid well.UPDATE: After being told my battery "failed", I opened my hood to check the battery myself and immediately noticed the COOLANT RESERVOIR CAP MISSING! i've been here twice now for oil changes, not my first choice but i needed it day of so i bit the bullet. i was quoted for an ac charge, which i declined since I had been having no problems with it and i thought i'd have time to get it looked at. OH BOY...Not even a day later my freon had completely drained and i was driving back from orlando in 90+ degree (110 heat index) sweltering heat with no cold air. I have gotten it checked by multiple shops now and it has been detected as a puncture in my evaporator. Bought a Groupon for this business. $21 for a $42 standard oil change. I went in and was told my estimate would be given. I waited about 10 minutes when I was told my tires looked bad, (new tires 10 days ago!) My air filter needed changing (New air filter 2 months ago) and that I needed a Transmission flush (Toyota does not recommend a flush) I told them to just change the oil but use synthetic oil. The computer screen is tilted away from the customer. The tech told me to come back in 5,000 miles. I said NOT ON A SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGE. He told me that is as far out as his computer will let him go? (What a scam!) He asked if that was all? I said yes and he said he would let me know when I was ready. I later got called in to pay $65 + the Groupon for $42. The oil change was over $100! I told them they were charging over $12 a quart + the standard oil charge I did not get! Eric the manager shrugged his shoulder and told me I should have looked at the screen! How? I asked, rip the screen away from the tech and tilt it toward me!! BE CAREFUL!! I went out of my way to create a yelp account and write my first review ever anywhere because of how dissatisfied I am with what they continue to do. Last oil change I sent my wife to get the company truck serviced and she came home with a $180 dollar charge for things they added without even asking! Being that it was to late when I realized there was nothing I could do. So this time I took the truck to get serviced myself and made sure to tell the person that helped me to please just do an oil change and everything else that they believe needs to be done to please put it on a report for me and to NOT do it. About an hour and 15 minutes later I get charged $355 for a whole bunch of stuff they did to the truck without even consulting me at all while I'm sitting right there. (My oil change is $118) I pretty much got the issue resolved by stating once again I did NOT want any of that stuff done and asked how they could just decide to do whatever they wanted without even consulting with the customer that is actually present. Be careful because if you're not paying attention they will change your wipers even though you just changed them recently and change a whole bunch of other stuff. I was there twice today. John is extremely rude and he's a liar. He told me my battery was almost dead and got quite rude when I declined all of the over priced upsells he tried to get me to buy. My car was in and out way to fast. So I took it to someone else who checked my battery to find out there is nothing at all wrong with it. But it was also verified that they never changed my oil they just added a little bit. So it was overfull and I was told that is bad for the engine so they pumped some out and put it in a jar. We went back. John comes up again and I told him they never changed my oil. His response was "I'm pretty sure we did" Pretty Sure? That's a big sign to me that the person who worked on my car has no idea if I received the service I paid for. My husband went for an oil change. After it was completed and he was actually overcharged, he left and all the warning lights came on the car. He stopped at Walmart. The car wouldn't start at first, but later it did and wasn't running correctly and all the warning lights stayed on, so he took it back to Jiffy Lube. The left off a vacuum hose and when they changed the cabin filter, they didn't put the door back on the glove box correctly, and it had fallen off on his way back to see what was going on.
