My family has been going to jiffy lube for almost 20 years of services. My son took his car into this location, and the level of disrespect he received from two employees who chose to make fun of him and call him names instead of doing their job is so ridiculous. Looks like my family will be taking their business elsewhere, and if management has any common sense, those employees will be trained how to speak to and about customers who happen to be in front of them. We (total of 4 cars in the family) have used the Jiffy Lube on SM Pkwy for 15 years since moving to Shawnee. Overall, the service was decent and reasonable when we utilized a coupon. We would go in for, in most cases, what was quick service. Sometimes the service would be very good, depending on the technician and we were very happy. Unfortunately, the last time my husband went, the coupon he had was not honored. He was told the only coupon that could be used was the $10 off coupon they had. I went a few weeks later and I am a teacher and have KNEA deals. The address is noted on the KNEA website for the Shawnee Mission Parkway location, the coupon is for 15% off. I was told abruptly by the technician when I pulled in that the only coupon accepted is the $10 coupon. I tried to show him that the address for the location I was at was listed on the KNEA deals website. He said they are a franchise and only do the $10 coupon. His body language and tone clearly let me know that he was not interested in looking at the coupon had that listed the address that he worked at. Needless to say, I did not get my oil changed, nor will my entire family of 4 cars anymore at this Jiffy Lube, nor any other Jiffy Lube. Jiffy Lube lost our business of 4 cars over not honoring a coupon for 15% off. It was clear that the technicians have been told to not honor any coupons but the $10 coupon and he was probably tired of having to tell every customer this and no skin off his back if I left as he told me I should try a different location. The moral of the story for me was that there is a good ending to this story. This made us shop around and we found another business that is very reasonably priced, offered friendly service, and was much less expensive then what we had been paying at Jiffy Lube, even with a coupon. In this day an age, with the economy and its prices soaring, I understand businesses need to make a profit, but also need to offer competitive prices. I have since learned their prices were not competitive, but overpriced even with a coupon. Lesson learned. I just hope Jiffy Lube learns from this review not to lose customers over not honoring a coupon that clearly states their address, the amount of the discount, and the coupon gives instructions on how the attendant can add the coupon to the computer system. Polite and quick. Wasn't my first visit to a JL so my car and history was on file. Didn't try to up sale me with winterizing, tire rotation, etc. Always come in informed about your own car and it's maintenance. Read your manual and keeps your docs and the up sales will usually stop if you reply with what you already know. It's twice the price, at a minimum, than to change your own oil/filter/disposal but you're paying for convenience. Request a coupon if you don't already have one. read more

Pulled up to location and one employee was smoking something outside the building. When pulled into the bay said employee couldn't figure out how to lower the skidplate from my 2008 Tundra, another employee came over and was using a long bar to break free bolts. They broke the skidplate off my vehicle and dropped in the bay and proceeded to use zip ties to secure to the vehicle. I asked why they were using zip ties and they said my skidplate was already broke. Which a complete lie as I watched the whole thing from the waiting room. Manager disappeared so was going to just call the number on the back of the receipt, to prevent escalation with employees that appeared to be impaired. As I was getting in my truck to leave the guy that did all the damage stated "that when I get a replacement skidplate I will need new bolts as he broke them off". read more

I have always had a really great experience at this Jiffy Lube location. The service is quick and efficient, and the employees are always funny and nice. The worst place to take your car for an oil change. DO NOT GO HERE. I took my car here 10/2021 and after they did my oil change my car began to leak oil. I took my car back to them twice and they kept telling me it was not there fault it was my oil pan gasket and the fact that they were very rude. I then had to go to my mechanic who took a look at my car and the report was that my gasket seal was gone from the drain plug and it was obvious to my mechanic that this was the fault of Jiffy Lube. Please save yourself and take your car somewhere else.!!!!!!!! Worst Service ever and employees were RUDE........ I can't leave less than one star or else I would. Technicians lost the oil cap somehow. I was told they ordered a replacement and the auto parts driver was en route. 45 mins later the replacement cap arrived but didn't fit. After 2 hours of waiting, I was told no one at the location knew how to issue a refund, was told by service tech she didn't care about my issues and it wasn't her problem, was rude, and combative. I went for a full synthetic oil change this past weekend. I have been going to this shop for years, have never had a problem, and know the prices quite well. This time there was an additional miscellaneous "non-taxable" charges on my receipt that somehow equaled the amount of the coupon I used. I left feeling as though the shop had just somehow cheated me since the Tech's only response when I asked about the price was a shoulder shrug. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in years. I stopped by to get my oil changed on the way out of town. The situation started off normally enough. The gentleman who helped me was easy going and friendly, and I left the car there to go have a quick lunch with a friend. When I got back, the same gentleman checked me out and again we were having an easy going conversation about holiday plans. When I went outside and got into my car, it wouldn't start. It was a pretty cold day out but it should only have been sitting for just a short bit. I went back inside to ask for someone to come help me jumpstart it, and a different man working in the garage area was brusque when he interrupted me stating that someone would be out "in a few" minutes. I went out to sit in my friend's warm car and waited about 15 minutes. I'd had enough at that point and went in and said as much. The previously friendly gentleman then snapped at me that he thought I said I had my own jumper cables, as if that was a great reason for ignoring a customer whose car wouldn't start for 15 minutes. I snapped right back and told them to just forget it at that point. Went outside and my friend volunteered to drive across the street to AutoZone to buy cables when the previously friendly guy walked out the front door with cables in hand. Still grumbling about the fact that he thought I said I had my own, he began to connect the cables. When my friend pointed out that the red connector on her battery was actually a different color, he questioned her by saying, "You believe...?" Having had it with the situation as I had, she got into her car to prove it to him by showing him the manual. At this point, the guy had the audacity to say to me, "I really do not appreciate the attitude you two women are throwing at me." I responded that I did not appreciate any of the attitudes or hassles they had thrown at me. Once the car started, he walked back inside without so much as a glance backward. I got back into my car and, lo and behold, they didn't reset the oil indicator. I was absolutely not going to deal with anyone in this shop ever again and instead called a nearby location hoping to get a District Manager's phone number. I really lucked out when Michael at the location off 87th and Pflumm (store 1628) answered the phone and insisted that I bring my car over to him so he could check everything out to make sure I would be safe on my long drive. Thanks to Michael for helping me out in a pinch on Christmas Eve. I would not recommend the Shawnee Mission Pkwy location to my worst enemy. Never again. However, please, please go see the Jiffy Lube at 87th and Pflumm! Those folks are my Christmas heroes! read more

Yeah yeah I know I should stop coming to places that don't have qualified mechancis, but.... my fiance did point out that the guys working there were all nicely groomed, they had all their teeth, and they were friendly and seemed knowledgeable and happy to be there. This is a good sign. Another positive is that they weren't busy on Friday afternoon and were able to fit both our cars in at once and get straight to work. After careful perusing of my maintenance manual and internet browsing on what my car needed at it's old age of 70000 miles, I went with a care package. It got the transmission fluid changed, an oil change, a fuel filter, and new wiper blades all for about $200. Plus, the guy that worked on our cars offered us $50 off just for getting all that stuff done. It took them about an hour to finish up both cars and we were on our way. The guys working there really seemed like they knew what they were doing and they took pride in their work. They didn't rush, and they weren't too pushy about the add ons. These people have not a clue. First off they waited till they had the oil filter off before checking to see if they had one in stock, little clue for the shops Order the parts before you need it. My car is an GE lease car, at 30000 they are to replace cabin and air filters plus rotate tires. This is part of the plan that they didn't do. Next they wanted to replace the wipers, said they were folding over ????? . They were all very nice people but someone needs to do some very basic training with these people so that they can make the shop money and take care of customer faster and better. I brought my car in a couple of weeks ago for a standard oil change. The in-person experience was fine, as far as I knew they completed all of the services I came in for and even included a few complementary services like topping off my wiper fluid. About a week later we went to visit relatives in Omaha and got about 2 to 3 inches of snow while there. While driving in all of the slush I noticed that both my front and back wiper fluid hoses weren't working. I knew I had fluid because Jiffy Lube had just topped it off days before, so I assumed the hose opening must have been clogged with snow or something. The next day, after having a whole night in the garage to thaw out, I still couldn't get the sprayers to work, and while trying to assess the situation a ton of wiper fluid exploded through the inside of my trunk door and started pouring everywhere in my trunk!!! When I brought it in for maintenance, the repair shop told me that my fluid pumps were filled with a super diluted mixture that was basically WATER, which caused my pump to freeze entirely and forced my hoses to burst!!!! On top of that, my car was leaking oil because the oil drain pump wasn't properly secured after they changed my oil, it needed to be tightened 4-5 times before it was locked into place and no longer leaking!!! Although the staff was nice they had no hustle at all. I was there for an hour just for a basic oil change. I also think they charged me way too much. I didn't want to go to a dealer because they are normally more expensive but here I was charged $83. I will not be returning here in the future. read more

I am extremely disappointed. I brought my car in yesterday due to the skid plate that was barely hanging on by one screw. This occurred due to an employee from last December not tightly screwing it back in place after the oil change. A guy did look at it and said yes it was hanging from one screw and that I would need to order another from the dealership. I asked the manager what he was going to do for me since this was their fault. (I had paperwork showing the last oil change and also the sticker was still on my car). He never apologized for the mishap and would only give me 15.00 off the new oil change. I took it thinking that the part might cost me 30.00 to replace. Well, much to my surprise I went to the dealership and they told me it would cost $220.00 plus labor!!!!! Dear owner....you are negligent. I am disappointed that your manager wouldn't even meet me half way. You need to take care of your customers...this was your fault!! read more
