I called ahead of time for pricing and spoke to Bailey and advised him I had a 2013 F250. Bailey said he had a $30 coupon he would issue. I asked what an oil change would cost and he said after the coupon about $40 unless I take an extra quart. Upon arrival, I again inquired on cost and he again said about $40. He did asked me if I wanted a print out. I said "no" and stated you already said about $40. I got asked THREE times by Jazlyn about using synthetic oil and each time she got more aggressive telling me "she" would not warrant the oil change. After the third time, I told her to stop pushing it and that it was a work truck just issued to me. Upon payment, I noted that it was $56.41. Without telling me the total, Jazlyn didn't mention it and never spoke another word to me. No "thank you" or anything else. I questioned the VERY UNPROFESSIONAL manger Bailey about the additional cost. He said Jiffy Lube always charges a shop fee. I told I've never been charged that in 15 years. I also asked about two extra quarts. His response was (in a loud and challenging voice) "you know your truck takes 7 quarts". I raised my voice using a few choice words told him I was just issued this work truck and that I know nothing about it. I also told him (still in a loud voice) that he is in the business and HE SHOULD KNOW it takes 7 quarts and should have stated such. He stated that he offered a print out when I first spoke to him and I told him he said about $40 and that if he kept talking to me in a challenging loud voice that we were going to have a problem. Wisely, Bailey backed down and went back to his 9 year old voice. I told him I was going to make an online review and he told me to have a good day. I've been going to this location for 15 years, I've never had issues, but over the last few years, I've noticed that "no real adults" work here anymore and most certainly nobody with professionalism. Turn-over is high at this location and these kids never last. I'm certain by the next time I go, this location will have a whole new crew. read more

DON'T go here. I went to get a state inpection and was told their inspector was out to lunch. Very reasonable but it's happened multiple times to me at this location. I went back an hour later as directed and was instructed to pull up to the bay opening. The inspector was just finishing another car so I thought he'd call me right up. Nope, he walked away and directed two vehicles, who arrived after me, in for oil changes. He worked on the oil changes. Didn't even looka me! After about 10-15 minutes of sitting in my car without being checked on by anyone, I decided that, since there was no one even near my bay, I would pull into the bay myself so that someone might notice and help me. Someone did notice. A young woman came out and angrily verbally assaulted me. I realize that I probably made an error in judgement but her level of vitriol was exceedingly unprofessional. It appeared that there was something already simmering in her and she to let it out on me. She yelled that no one was helping me because they prioritized oil changes. With that thinking , I think I might have sat there forever. It ended up in a shouting match as she stormed off. The manager, to his credit, tried to get to the bottom of it but, by that point, I'd had enough of the neglect and abuse. That girl should be fired. Also, this same location stripped the oil plug in my previous car and knowingly sent me back into the world. I thought something was wrong as I heard loud pneumatic tools being used on my car and the oil change took forever. I immediately took it to another shop and they confirmed it. They couldn't even get the new plug out! I gave Jiffy Lube a call and they admitted to stripping it. I asked what they could do about it... Crickets.... i ended up having to spend about $800 dollars at a mechanic having a new oil pan installed (they had to lift my engine up to install it). Afterwards, I went back to JiffyLube and showed them my bill and asked if they could do anything about reimbursing me. The person I spoke with immediately (reflexively) told me that they were under new ownership. I doubt very much that that was true. I imagine that that is what they are told to say when they screw up. I never got an oil change there again. If you go there for an inspection, expect to be ignored. If you go there for anything else, don't be surprised if they break your car. I won't be going there ever again. read more

We've always taken our vehicles to the Walzem Jiffy Lube for our annual vehicle inspections. At the last inspection we were told that our truck needed transmission fluid replaced but we didn't have time to do it just then. We were quoted a price of $150. My husband went back today to get the service done and was told it would be $199. My husband said he was quoted $150 for this service 3 weeks ago. This Jiffy Lube will get no further business from us! I didn't realize this location had such poor ratings so hopefully before anyone else goes there they will check Yelp reviews. read more

If you'd like to go somewhere that has a completely incompetent staff and manager, then this is the store for you. They put the wrong size battery in my SUV and when I went for an oil change this last October, the technician told me that "the place you went to for your battery did it wrong, and because it was done wrong, it's covered in corrosion. so I suggest you get it cleaned and fixed, but that'll be an extra charge. " and I replied "well, you guys were the ones that put my battery in, so I don't think I should be charged since you're saying it was done wrong." To which the technician replied, "don't worry ma'am, I got you." Fast forward, yesterday, I found myself stranded during my lunch break at work because my car completely died. My coworker had to come pick me up and my partner went to get my car when she was off of work. My battery, my terminals, and connectors were completely covered in inches of corrosion. I called here, and asked the technician that answered if he could look up my account by my phone number, he told me they can only do it if they have my license plate number, well since I didn't have my car with me at work, I asked to speak to the manager who said, "I can look you up, what's your number?" Funny, since I was just told that was impossible to do. I explained the situation and he told me, "yes, I see you were here in October for an oil change but we didn't charge you for fixing the battery so we didn't do it." I repeated my story, saying "if you were told, don't worry, I got you, how would you take that? Because to me, it sounds like the issue was going to be resolved." He kept repeating I wasn't charged for the cleaning and that he wasn't involved in my conversation so he can't tell me anything. Oh, and again, wrong size battery for my SUV. The entire ordeal was extremely frustrating. If you make a mistake, own up to it. And make sure since you put batteries in cars for your job, that you know what you're doing. At checkout I was told the printer did not work and they would email me a receipt which never happened. Every year they find something that need replacement. I went there today and should have checked everything they were suppose to do that was on my groupon and they did not even fill up the air in my tires. I paid over $50 for a groupon including an oil change, Inspect antifreeze/coolant reservoir levels, engine air filtration system, serpentine belts, brake fluid level (in transparent reservoirs), wiper blades, exterior lights, and chassis (lubricate when applicable) Check and fill tire pressure, transmission/transaxle fluid, differential/transfer case fluid, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid, and battery water (excluding sealed batteries) Clean exterior windows and vacuum interior floors. They did not even do half of that and even stripped my lug nuts on my rims, they barely filled my windshield wiper fluid, again didn't air up my tires, and didn't clean exterior windows. I'm sure they didn't do anything else that was on the list. At least they changed my oil. read more

I went in to Jiffy Lube on Walzem Rd. today (05/04/2023) for an state inspection on my Camry. They told me it didn't pass because rear license plate lights were not working - they said they would install one light bulb (minimal req'd by law) for $15. I told them I would buy & instll the bulbs myself - Oreillys had them for $6.95 for two bulbs. I thought it was very unusual for the license plates not to be working because they had been working properly. In the Oreillys parking lot, I notice that wires for lights fixtures had been pulled out. After re-installing the wires back on, only one was working. I took it back to Jiffy Lube & told one of the employees that state inspection would pass now - that at least one light was now working and that someone (didn't name person or entity) had pulled the wires. The guy went into the shop & told Michael Mendoza (the inspector who had done my car). When Michael came out of the office he was telling the first guy "I wouldn't have pulled the wires off". Michael then came to my car & did two (2) subsequent double-bangs around the rear license plate and told me all it needed was a little banging. The lights didn't need banging because I had already shown the first guy that one of the lights was on. What was is even more weird is that's the only place I have taken the Camry for years to obtain state inspections and I haven't had this car serviced elsewhere for way over one year or more. In December 2022, I took my pick up truck for state inspection also and they told me I needed new windshield wipers even though they were fairly new. I paid over $65.00 for new replacement unnecessary windshield wipers at Oreilly's so I could get inspection passed but gave Jiffy Lube "the benefit of the doubt" even though I knew the windshield wipers were fairly good and in great condition. Long story short: NO MORE JIFFY LUBE FOR ME!!!! read more

Got in line at 10am and didn't walk out till 1pm for an OIL CHANGE... they had 3 lanes 2 were occupied with one vehicle each the majority of the time I was there and I understand that certain jobs take time if it isn't something fast but the untimely manner they got this done in is just unacceptable. No updates, no check ins, phone rings non stop no one at the desk and to top it off they all horse played sooo much while I was there there was no urgency to get customers in and out instead there was eating and laughing and joking. 3 hours for a simple oil change...I will NEVER GO BACK . read more

Was basic customer service here. I gave 4 stars instead of 3 because the other afternoon I took my old 1998 explorer here to get its inspection and they did great and my car passed. But the previous experience when I brought the same car earlier I wasnt happy . I never usually like going to express vehicle services because of the risk of those businesses trying to "Up Sell" your bill . Well, when sitting down the techs were goofing off , laughing and horse playing in the bays with multiple vehicles awaiting services. While looking to see what they are up to it appeared that they were trying to inspect my suv instead of giving it a oil change like I asked. I immediately notified a employee that did come to the counter and he denied that they were inspecting my truck. After getting my oil change there and inspection there I would highly suggest their Pat Booker rd location . Much better customer service there and they dont goof off like this location does. read more

I have gone to other jiffy lubes and have had decent service. And today when I arrived a nice gentleman led me inside. And a young man assumed I hadn't had my oil changed in 20k miles. But I had gone else where the last time. Then he asked me if I wanted same synthetic. I agreed. But as I was paying I was asking about changing mileage on my car and if he could change it on the sticker. The young man was short and rude and told me he couldn't do any of that. Which they do every time. I don't think this young man was trained very well and he continence was terrible. I think he hated being there. No one helped me to my car or put the sticker in the window. It was all they could do to avoid me. If I go back to jiffy lube it won't be to that store. I'm sad to say that it probably does matter the area of town your in to how the service is. read more

I went for an $7 inspection in January 22 and they sold me a pair of windshield wipers for $60 because I didn't want to be inconvenienced to fail inspection go to Autozone buy a pair of less cost then come back again to get in line to pass vehicle. I moved into San Antonio back in June of 2018. I don't know whether the first service I needed was a state inspection or an oil change, but whatever it was, this place was close to my house, and I stopped in. I've been coming here ever since. My vehicles are always in and out quickly, and, unlike other lube shops, I'm not given a huge laundry list of unnecessary repairs every time I go. Yesterday I needed a state inspection so I brought in my Corolla, and I was out in less than five minutes. I have a registration renewal coming up on my Pilot next month, so I went home and brought it in for a state inspection, and again, was done in less than five minutes. I will continue to take my vehicles here. read more

This location on Walzen is the last place I try to take care of an oil change or inspection during my lunch break. Nobody seemed to be concerned about all the customers in the lounge. They were too busy hanging out, talking and laughing in the Bay Area instead of working. Very disappointed with everyone there on Monday. read more

I took my car in for transmission flush and it died the next day. Management took no responsibility. I did not ask for a flush. I asked for a differential and transfer case service. Not only did they do the wrong service but they insisted on doing another service that killed my transmission. I will never rely on Jiffy Lube for transmission service again. The regional Manager AJ Garza was no help in me resolving my problem. My transmission is still out 5 months later. Do not go to Jiffy Lube for transmission work. I found out from AJ that the store doesn't even have the proper machine to do the flush. And even though the mechanic told me he did a flush AJ insists it was a drip in drain. Poor service. No way should anyone get transmission done there. But, it is on their list of services offered on the board on their store wall. read more

This morning I had the oil changed at this location and I couldn't have ask for better service. As I was waiting for he car I was listening to Air1 on my phone and a commercial for the dog show came on and I made a comment about it. And it dawned on me way after I got home that the young man out front had no idea what I listening to. He probably thought I was a crazy old lady yet he commented on it as well and was very kind. I laughed about it and hope he reads this and laughs too. I know this location has a low rating and I don't understand why. thinking I had a bad experience at the last one I went to this store instead. Got the obligatory upsale that I had to fend off. I chose to get the 10 dollar air filter for 25 dollars as well as the 75 dollar oil change. But here is the kicker, so when I leave the car was a little rough. The next day the engine light came on. Knowing the past problems I stopped at another store on my way home. Come to find out my air filter was never put in and the box was open. And the hits just keep a coming Jiffy Lube. I find it amazing that you never see the same staff when you come back each time, Me thinks im going to go else where. read more

I would not recommend this location. Yes they do change oil, but that is it. They don't do what their receipt says they do. In my case they didn't vacuum my interior, wash the Windows, lube my chassis, check my transmission fluid, check my differentials. But you can believe that you will be charged for them. read more

When it was time to get my next oil change I was out of the state and the place I took it to wasn't able to remove the filter because it was so tight. I brought it back to Jiffy Lube and explained the situation. The individual the helped was rude and aggravated that I brought it back to them. After the got the oil filter off he proceeded to tell me that I needed to change the filter sooner. I freaking knew that and tried. I do not recommend this place. Pulled in for a state inspection. There is a dedicated bay for inspections. Was told the wait time would be an hour because all the bays were full with cars waiting for oil changes. There were more cars than workers. Really??? Why have a dedicated bay and not use it for the intended purpose? Won't be back. read more

I went to this place once and will never go back. I had a coupon from an entertainment book from the local high school. First the guy said that the coupon was not good and he doesn't know why the school gives them out still but that he would honor the price for the oil change. Then he tries to sell me an air filter, windshield wipers, and says I need a transmission flush. Yea no thank you since I don't need any of those I just had my car at the dealers.
