Lack of professionalism should be mentioned first. Life happens and I needed to leave town ASAP to get home. Was distressed and the men who helped me were nice at first. At the end he felt the need to ask me "Is it a family emergency?". Completely inappropriate and could really be triggering to some. I said I understand you are trying to be kind, but that is not okay. Normal Jiffy Lube experience otherwise. No matter how much I said I don't want anything other than an oil change, they still pushed many other things on me. This is why I don't use any Jiffy Lubes. I know they have to ask all of these questions. However, when I say repeatedly, do not wait for me, just continue with the oil change, it infuriates me that in an emergency they can not listen to me. Did they get me in immediately? Yes. That's the business plan. Executed well and professionally? No. Toyota dealership could absolutely get this all done within half the time. Spent more than I was told I would, but left because I already wasted so much time. Also had greasy hand prints all over my car. I drove in for a $19.99 oil change. I drove out with a 50% cost increase and a bitter experience to keep me away forever. I got the "signature service," which isn't euphemism for customer service. I've added four photos with my review to illustrate the many problems I experienced. 1. The technician told me the tires were at 25 psi, well below the manufacturer's 32 psi recommendation. The technician offered to rotate the tires but I declined, explaining the tires had been rotated the month before at Costco. And filled with nitrogen. 2. The signature service comes with wash exterior windows and vacuum floors, both services were marked declined without my consent. 3. Multiple add-on services were recommended: Fuel Filter ($39.99); Transmission Fluid Service ($119.99); Coolant Fluid Flush ($59.99); Fuel System Cleaning ($??); Brake Fluid Flush ($??) and; spark plugs ($19.99). Had I accepted all of the recommended services, my bill would've exceeded $300. I accepted the additional cost of $5.99 for a rear brake light replacement and paid a total bill of $35.98. Then, I drove directly to Costco to resolve the tire pressure issue. The Costco technician checked all four tires -- all readings of 32 psi not 25 psi -- and told me the gauges are often broken at oil change shops. My experience wasn't the Costco technician's first. The signature service comes with an exterior car wash at Champion Carwash. The car wash didn't remove bird droppings off the car roof but did manage to bend the rear license plate. Ten years ago, NBC4's investigative team in Los Angeles uncovered scams at Jiffy Lube shops, five out of the nine ships investigated were caught on camera, cheating customers on repairs that weren't needed and/or weren't done. Technicians are trained more in selling you services and products you don't need. I've been here a few times. Every time there's an up sell. They check other fluids in your car, then tell you that you need fluid changed other than your oil. I observed another customer who came in with a coupon for a transmission flush. He had a $100 coupon. But the filter was not included in the coupon, and for some reason they had to take something apart to change the filter, so he paid closer to $200. You can get $2 off all your car washes if you get your oil changed there. But it's not worth it. The car wash has been ok, though. read more

I had my brakes and rotors replaced in Texas and then drove to Roseburg. I went straight to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. They were super friendly, but I was suspicious because the man that waited on me told me my brakes were "shot. So much so they could impound your car." I asked how this could be since I'd just had them replaced. He assured me they were gone and I needed to get them replaced for a HUGE sum he quoted. I told him I'd either do it myself or wait til I got home, as I hadn't heard any grinding or seen other signs of wear in the 3 days I'd had these on. Sure enough. I went home to my mechanic and he said "Your brakes are in pristine condition." I then took the car to the dealership and asked if the brakes needed to be replaced. After an inspection they said "Nope. They look like you just had them put on. Rotors, too. What makes you think you need brake pads?" I'm saddened and sorely disappointed that Jiffy Lube would attempt to exploit what they thought was my naivete. Fortunately, I've worked on my own vehicles for the last 30 years and know a thing or two. If I didn't, Jiffy Lube would have pulled a fast one on me. To whom else have they done this, and how often? If you are interested in reputable service with integrity, don't take your vehicle here. If you are in a bind for an oil change, still don't take your vehicle here. They charged me $99.99 for a change that consisted of regular oil. I normally get the synthetic, high mileage at a competitor for $59. Even the dealership has only charged me $80. Shame on this location for acting disreputably, and attempting to defraud consumers. Every state has a consumer protection law that prohibits deceptive practices, and many prohibit unfair or unconscionable practices as well. These statutes, commonly known as Unfair and Deceptive Acts and Practices or UDAP statutes, provide bedrock protections for consumers. You might want to stop your fraudulent practices before you wind up facing a judge about them. I will definitely be reporting this matter to the appropriate consumer agencies. RIPOFF ALERT My $24.95 oil change just cost me $60. They sold me a new air filter and a new radiator cap , but after they were installed told me their charge is more than double what the auto parts store charges. So, that was $20 for a $9 air filter and $14 for a $6 radiator cap. I always liked it better when I get a little kiss after I've been screwed. read more

I'm not one to post reviews often -- and certainly not when they are negative. But this particular situation deserves the time, and will hopefully serve as a helpful deterrent against other people experiencing similar problems. I only wish there was an option for ZERO stars. I always change the oil in my own vehicles. On this occasion, I was working out of town and sent my wife in with our family vehicle to get the oil changed at Jiffy Lube in Roseburg, Oregon. We paid the "reasonable" rate of over $100 for nothing besides a simple oil change (I warned my wife ahead of time not to fall for any of the "headlight fluid" scams). Down the road, the next oil change comes due, and I climb under the car to discover my factory 15mm oil drain plug is gone, and in its place is the remains of an unidentified plug someone clearly used vice-grips or a similar tool to force into place. Now, keep in mind that I grew up rebuilding cars from the frame-up for fun, and that can identify this plain as day. So either the "oil change technician" (because I'm not going to belittle actual mechanics by using that title on these people) lost my factory drain plug, or stole it, who cares -- in either case, the plug was replaced incorrectly using an incorrect tool and forced into place. And no one said ANYTHING at the time. Long story short, I used several types of bolt extraction sockets and bits, and after hours and hours of meticulous work, was still unable to safely remove the drain plug. Ultimately, I had to remove the entire oil pan, and replace the oil pan, gasket and drain plug. I took my written complaint, along with documentation of everything, to the location manager. After a few attempts, I was able to speak with "Jose" on the phone. I explained the story in detail to Jose and asked for a refund of my oil change, and for the expenses incurred for replacing the oil pan, gasket, etc. Keep in mind, I did all the labor myself and did not ask for ANY compensation other than literally what I paid to fix their mistake. All in all, it was around $260. Jose told me they would NOT reimburse me for anything, and basically insinuated that I was lying to him, and that everyone there was "trained" to use the right tools for the right job. I politely informed him I was sure that most of the time, they did use the right tools for the right job, but in this case, they clearly didn't, and what I was asking for was very reasonable. I was not rude, disrespectful or demanding at any time. I simply experienced an unfortunate situation as a result of their employee's mistake, and expected it to be made right. Jose refused to make it right, and said nothing was their fault. In the past, I managed major retail stores for over 12 years. Lots of things can happen where it may not even be the real fault of an employee, but you still do the right thing, take the high road, and take care of your customer. But I suppose that only applies to honest folks who care about their customers, and not so much to lying, scamming, dishonest people who only care about how much money they can squeeze out of the next unwitting victim for that "brake fluid that smells like it's burning". I never had high expectations for these folks. But I certainly didn't expect them to outright damage my vehicle and refuse to make it right. Do yourself a favor -- change your oil yourself, or take it to an honest, reputable location for QUALIFIED service. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

I went in here for an oil change. The rep told me 39.99. I was ok with that. Then he comes in and tells me my radiator needs to be flushed. I asked how much it was going to cost me and he said just the cost of the antifreeze which was 15 dollars a job. He saw me hesitating at the cost, and threatened me with"my mechanic wants to call the dealer and have the car pulled". This scared me, so I said ok fine, what is my bill going to be, around 100? He responded with 90-100 dollars. I agreed. He brought my bill while they were still working on my car, and it said 119. When the car was finished, I went up to the counter where my bill has jumped to 121, because he took it upon himself to add a three dollar coupon book to my tab. I went in for a forty dollar oil change, and walked out paying over 120 dollars. I feel ripped off, and their rep made me uncomfortable. I won't be back there! read more

I called Lithia of Eugene and guess what?.. the oil was the proper one for my car...he then proceeded to bash "Valvoline". I thought I would post about my experience here today as a warning to Douglas County residents considering using this service. When it comes to customer service, I often share positive reviews and great service kudos with others, but usually I prefer to keep negative experiences to myself. Honestly I just don't like putting negative vibes out there on social media! However I feel my experience with this business today should be shared to warn other potential customers. I heard the ad on the radio about the $39.99 oil change special that includes an oil change, tire rotation, refilling transmission and wiper fluid, a car wash, and vacuuming of the interior floorboards. My oil is due for a change so obviously this sounded like a great deal! I wanted to make sure I heard the ad right so I called Jiffy Lube to confirm all the services were included in this price. Yes, I was told they were, so I headed over. After the service began it came time to discuss the bill with the salesman, they tried to sell me on several other services totaling up to $378.95! Ultimately I listened to them explain why I needed these services and why it was important I get them done right away, and then I reaffirmed that I would only like to have the oil change with included services done at this time. I was told that the tire rotation and car wash were 'upgrades' to the service and would cost more, and that I would have to pay more a high mileage oil. I discussed my frustration and confusion with the employee, and he returned to the service area while I ruminated on what my course of action should be, meanwhile texting my husband about my experience asking him what I should do. After the employee returned again I politely asked him if I could speak with the manager (Joe). I was kind but honest and told him I was frustrated that they are advertising a service at a certain price but not honoring the advertisement, and that I did not want to pay more than what the service was advertised for. He seemed very understanding, professional and kind and ultimately told me that I didn't have to pay more than that if I didn't want to, that they would do the car wash and rotation 'for free' and stepped back to the service area to continue working. After the service was complete the other employee returned to take my payment, stating the cost at about $46.99 with an additional cost for the car wash. I told him that the manager just told me I would not have to pay more than $39.99 for all of the services together, and that the car wash was included. He stepped out to check that with Joe. When he returned he stated that it would be $46.99 because of the more expensive oil they used, but that they would throw in the car wash 'for free'. He had been very patient earlier while attempting to explain to me why all of these service would cost more than advertised, but now it appeared his patience was wearing thin. I kindly (amazingly given that at this point I really felt like they were throwing me over a barrel) told him that I thought he was very nice, he was obviously confident in his job and knew what he was doing, but that honestly I didn't think it was a good business practice to advertise a service at one price and not honor that, that it was frustrating to have the price creep higher and higher. I said that the average person does not know one way or the other if the services they are told they need are in fact necessary, and that when a customer comes in expecting to pay a certain price for a service that should be honored. In response he asked me what radio station I had heard the ad on, stating that it was an old ad and he actually thought it required a coupon. I told him that was not what was advertised on the radio, or what was reaffirmed to me when I called earlier, and that the ad is currently running, and I honestly didn't know what station it was on! He then responded that he "questioned the legitimacy" of that ad. At that point I was done with my conversation with him, being that he just basically told me I was lying. I was a bit flabbergasted honestly. On my way out I relayed the conversation to Joe, and told him I was disappointed that his employee was disrespectful. He agreed and told me that he is aware of the ad, that he is the one who did the voice over in it, so he knows it's legit. Honestly, it pains me to write this review and post it publicly, but I genuinely feel this is false advertising (bait and switch maybe?) and I want to warn others so they may avoid the same type of service. Ultimately I ended up paying $47 for a service advertised at $39.99, and I realized I didn't not receive a receipt (although I do have the brake inspection sheet and the list of services they are wanting me to have done). I fully intend to have this maintenance done, but I will do that with an honest mechanic that I know locally. read more

Went to the shop in Roseburg for an oil change. Very oily salesperson kept at me about getting the transmission fluid changed. I checked my records and since it hadn't been done in a while I decided to go ahead and get it done. DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR TRANSMISSION!! This simple procedure ended up causing a severe leak that fortunately did not lead to a frozen transmission. However, it did lead to me being stranded out of state for two days while I had to get it repaired. It cost me $236, and two days of my time. When I returned I contacted Jiffy Lube Customer Support, as I had been told by the out-of-state Jiffy Lube and the transmission shop that the problem was caused by the technician who did the last transmission flush....which was at the Jiffy Lube in Roseburg! After 3 weeks of trying to get an answer out of the local Jiffy Lube, I got a very snarky email that they would not cover damage caused by "another shop." The vehicle had not been at another shop between the time of their crappy service and the transmission leak. In the meantime, I'm warning all of you, especially you women, (they have no respect for us), that you do not do any business with this location as they do not stand behind their work, nor do they have anything even resembling customer service. read more

I went in three months ago for an oil change. I normally change the oil myself, since the process is easy, and I can avoid the hard sell of stuff I don't need. I go to change my oil today and find that the folks down at jiffy lube took my drain plug gasket and didn't replace it like they were supposed to. They just put the plug in with no gasket at all. In addition, they "recommended" change interval of 3000 miles, even though the manufacturer of my car recommends 5000. Seems like the typical money scheme you find at these little oil places. I stopped in for a quick oil change as I was traveling out of my home city. Service started out good but then a gentleman came and told me that I needed coolant. I told them that I would take care of it when I got home. He started to tell me that I needed some other services and again I told him that I would take care of it when I got home....I just wanted an oil change. After returning home, I noticed that my heater was not working correctly. I took my vehicle into my local KIA dealership and they discovered that Jiffy lube had left my cap off of the coolant tank, causing coolant to go all over my engine. After two visits to Jiffy Lube, I will not be going back. My first visit involved up upgraded synthetic oil that cost twice as much but supposedly lasts twice as long. It seemed reasonable to me, but my husband was pissed and said it was ridiculous when I got home. They also changed my brake fluid and took the liberty of putting a "higher grade" fluid than was recommend for my vehicle. Upon further research, that wasn't necessarily a helpful "upgrade" and has a tendency to overheat faster when braking on hills, which I do frequently. Annoying, and I will have to resolved this with my mechanic at another date, but the big issue is that my twice as long oil life wasn't marked properly on my windshield sticker. They marked the miles for the regular oil change time. Nice. When I went in to see when my oil was actually due, they suggested that I do it right then and there because my engine could be severe damaged. I found it particularly interesting that the guy had the audacity to say that even though the oil company AND car companies say that the synthetic oil does indeed last twice as long, his personal recommendation would be to not wait. Ha ha! Of course it is! Pay twice as much up front and change your oil earlier than needed. Quite the racket. Definitely won't be going back. I'm a full time mechanic and my wife used to take her car there until 4/27/17 to save me time at home. They told her that her brake fluid was black with metal in it.they told her that her rear brakes were worn and that one big hill could cause her to crash. So naturally I told her that I'd fix her car. First I found that her rear brakes had more than 25% left and were worn evenly. Then looked at her brake fluid and found it perfectly clear with no metal or dark color. They tried to sell her a brake flush for cost of 2 bottles at 151 dollars..a quart I know they pay less than 4.00 a quart from local auto parts stores. They cannot be trusted. I wasn't there... had I been I would have let him know Lithia, Precision and Oil Can Henrys had all been doing regular service work on it.... the recommendations they made were false, but my husband fell for it. The 19.99 oil change turned into 35.00 because it needed a "special oil filter"... interesting since I have had oil changes all over town in other places and not one other place said it needed special oil filter that costs more. Then he fell for some filters to be changed (the overcharged and wasn't necessary to change them)... then the brakes needed to be checked.... they said they needed to be flushed.... again, they overcharged for the flush and I wonder if it was even needed it since the oil change just before that the tech didn't mention it the brake fluid being dirty. I went to the Roseburg Jiffy Lube for an oil change on my older truck. I go there regularly for both my vehicles. They checked the belts, fluid levels, tire pressure etc. The Manager (with the colorful neck tattoo) was overly complimentary saying how much he liked my old warn truck, my dog etc. The manager said my serpentine belt was warn. If it broke, it would ruin my water pump. He said if I got it fixed at a shop it would be costly, but he would not charge me for any labor--I would pay only $10 over their cost for the belt. What a deal, right? The belt was removed and another delivered from the local Napa parts store. The manager came into the wait room to show me the bill, saying it would just be a few more minutes. He shook his head over how expensive the belt was--pointing to the bill for the belt at $84.97 shaking his head about how much this particular belt costs! The belt part number was on the bill plus I got the package it came in and took it home. Later I called the Napa parts store and they said the belt cost $27.00. The Roseburg Jiffy lube just lost a long-term customer. It is being run by a dishonest Manager. A charming liar. read more

Went in to get an oil change and they said they could fix two dings in my windshield at no cost to me. Said my insurance would pay for it. I said OK. Short time later they said come out here. THEY BROKE MY WINDSHIELD! When we got back inside the manager said " They'd fix it. They would make it right at not cost to me. " and to call him back later. Later that day he said I signed a waiver and they couldn't do anything about it. I talked to the owner and he said the same thing -they'd make it right. They would fix it and he'd have someone call me. Noone called and when I called back he said the same thing as the manager-I signed a waiver. Funny my receipt doesn't say anything about a waiver. When I protested the manager said he put me into their special "high mileage" program. I never requested this, I protested. The called it a misunderstanding and adjusted my bill to $36.99, which was still $16.00 more than I bargained for. I will NEVER return to this Jiffy Lube. What a horrible experience; where do I even begin? Was traveling through the area from out of state, and pulled in to this place since it was close to my hotel. Biggest. Mistake. EVER. The guy who motioned me in - and was the same one I dealt with the whole time I was there - was on his phone, and didn't get off it the whole time he was dealing with me. He motioned me into the bay, never greeted me, reaches inside my vehicle to peel off the previous oil change sticker, and starts barking at me about what I NEED - never asked what I would like, and says "Have a seat inside." I attempted to tell him a second time that I wanted 10W30 oil, just a basic oil change, no extras. He ignored me. I went and sat down but sat by the window where I could see my car and what was being done to it. I called my husband to let him know what was happening, and "Mr. Personality" comes into the waiting area, and says, "What oil change to do you want?" I told him again, the basic $24.99 oil change with 10W30. He tells me if I want 10W30, it will be $29.99. Are you kidding me??? He says no, the $24.99 only includes 5W30. I told him that NOWHERE on his sign board did it say that 10W30 was not included in the basic oil change price. He continues to argue with me, so I told him to put in 5W30, because I wasn't paying more than $24.99. He THEN tells me, "ALL your injectors are plugged up except one, it's really bad." I find that very interesting to hear, because I drove the car all the way from South Dakota, and it's been running as smooth as can be. I also know that you can't tell that injectors are clogged by looking under the hood. I told him I was talking to my husband, who said we'd get it checked when I got home. This whole incident was a nightmare. It was blatantly obvious this guy saw a woman from out of state, and tried to take me for as much money as he could. I just resently moved to Roseburg, Oregon from Portland, Oregon. I always took my car to Jiffy Lube for all my oil changes. I never once had any issues until I moved to Roseburg Oregon and when my car needed an oil change I of course went to Jiffy Lube hear in Roseburg Oregon well they didn't put the oil plug in correctly and it vibrated it out and caused a lot of damage to my engine. The Owner of Jiffy Lube and the manager refused to return any of my calls and when they finely talked to the mechanic who looked at my car and told me of the damage done to my car from the loss of oil. Jiffy Lube said it wasn't their fault and planed to do nothing about it. When I went down to Jiffy Lube the owner laughed at me and said I was insane and that he wasn't interested in anything I had to say. So think twice about taking your car to the Jiffy Lube here in Roseburg Oregon because their philosophy is sloppy work is good work and they really don't care whether or not it leaves their customers inconvenienced and stranded.
