We were driving from Portland to Puerto Vallarta when our check engine light came on. Planned on spending the night in Roseburg anyway. Early went to autozone to have the code checked. Brian at Autozone recommended Shaun at Shaun's Precision Lube & Tune, (541) 440-6788, 377 Nw Garden Valley Blvd, Roseburg, OR 97470 Cross Streets: Between NW Eden St and NW Ellan St saying his equipment could read codes more thoroughly and gave Shaun good recommendation. Long story short, got to Shaun's business and after a short conversation, he got us right in, read the codes, and diagnosed the problem. Told us it was fuel injector for cylinder eight and gave us guarantee that would fix the problem. Showed us a couple other minor things he suggested we do which we did. We are now in Puerto Vallarta and made it with our vehicle running perfectly. Shaun was able to squeeze us right in and we were out in less than thirty minutes. Went in for an oil change and tire pressure monitors replaced. Bought the tire pressure monitors from Ford, on my way in. He said it would be 25.00 per tire to install the new ones. That's cool, but when they were finished, they changed me a 20.00 tire rotation fee. So I asked why, since they had to take the tires off to put the monitors in, and was told it was for the tire rotation. Why when they had to remove them from the car for the monitors. Nothing like getting double charged. So if the 20.00 is more important than a loyal customer, I never go back. There's a lot of other places. (Rosenberg store) read more

I had a terrible experience here. I drove by and asked if they used oil a customer had, I was told it was $4 off per quart the base price of the oil change. Great- went and got my oil and came back. My oil was measured and I had 4 quarts. My truck takes two additional gallons than the standard 5 gallon oil change- so what's fair I assumed is not charging me the two additional gallons and maybe getting $4/quart discount off on the two remaining quarts of my oil. I asked how many quarts a standard oil change covered. The guy (Nate I think? Some cocky black dude) tried talking me in circles and saying it doesn't matter because my truck takes 7. I asked again- yeah but I want to know how many quarts an oil change includes. He again told me I don't need to know that. I then asked how much a regular one was- I like to be included in price calculation and see/know the breakdown. He talked the most nonsense circles around me saying "you don't need to know that- I'll just tell you you owe me $67 (or something near that- after quoting me $40 something earlier lol). "I'll do the math for you ok?" He said. "I'll keep this as simple as I can for you." Again I asked- how much is the normal oil change? He said "what do you not trust me? I'm not doing anything dirty or trying to slip anything by you. I'm just telling you what you owe me to keep this as simple as I can for you. You don't need to know the breakdown." I tried to explain- I like to know my breakdown and I like to see where a price comes from. He did one last crooked comment about "I'm not a scammer ok- I just know I can do the math for you so you can understand how much to pay me." I should have left but the car was probably opened below. I rolled my windows up and sat while this person who thinks he is outsmarting me and refuses to tell me price breakdown does whatever to my car. I paid whatever number he made up. My bill wasn't even close to what he had tried to pull over my eyes earlier.. and as he read the nonsense bill breakdown the $4/quart discount then turned to $1/quart discount and he even read it to me how he originally quoted- stating $4/quart like I told you but pointing to only one quart given credit ($4 total) part on the bill. I'll never be back here ever and I'll warn anyone about this crooked place. I also was charged the 3 quarts extra that I needed except I brought in 4 quarts and paid for a 5quart oil change! Oh the irony. No wonder he didn't want me seeing the bill or knowing the breakdown. Crooked. Ps mister Nate - I went to college at 15, finished college calculus at 16, was a biochemist at 20, and homeschooled math on the side and taught math and science to non English Spanish high school kids- And your math sucks and you can't do math for me like you assured me. But you can be condescending, arrogant, crooked, and show what intelligence you're lacking by talking to me like I'm an idiot. I had my Jesus music to get me through that terrible time with you and you never get to speak shitty to me ever again! Hey! Also called "manager" and he said the owner gives a $4 credit for any amount of oil. So a tablespoon or 10 quarts gets the same credit. So I donated my oil to them for them to still charge me extra oil I could have done the semisynthetic oil change- only used two of my quarts for the extra two my truck required and paid $10 less than what I did AND have had two extra quarts left over. I called the Garden Valley location on Saturday to see if I could get a brake job and oil change for my Mercedes Sprinter van. The person that I spoke to said that they may be able to get me in on Saturday but if not, they could do the brake job on Sunday. When I dropped off my van, I was told that they had a few cars come in so it would be done the next day, Sunday. I didn't get a call on Sunday, so I waited til Monday afternoon to call the store to see if they had finished. The person I spoke to was a guy named Reston and he said that they were not able to get my van on their lift because it weighed too much. He said that he thought someone had called me to let me know, but after checking my phone, it was clear that nobody had called me on Sunday or Monday. So, I went in to the location today, Monday, and asked Reston if they were at least able to get my oil change done. He told me that he was there from the Sutherlin location and that he didn't know. I asked if he could check and he quickly looked on their computer and replied again, "I don't know", to which I replied, "is there someone who does know?" His reply, "I don't know". So, I went outside and asked the guy who initially helped me check in my vehicle on Saturday if they did the oil change, since it didn't need to be on a lift in order to do the oil change. At that point, Reston came outside and told me that I needed to direct all questions to him as he was in charge. I then asked him why I would ask him since he had already told me 3 times that he didn't know. I said that I felt like it was like I was watching Romper Room. He then told me that I needed to leave. So, I began walking out of the store and when I had my back turned and was a few steps into the parking lot, I hear Reston, say, "You're a fucking dick." So, I turned around and asked him what he said. He said, "You heard me". Then, the kid who initially helped me said, "Get the fuck off the property". Needless to say, this type of behavior is unacceptable, especially considering that my wife and I have been bringing our vehicles in there to do oil changes for the last 3 years. Roseburg is a small town, but there are other options for these services, so I would suggest going elsewhere, unless you want to be berated for asking common sense questions. read more

I have a motorhome, new to me 1999 with 65,000 miles and am traveling extensively and have had a hard time finding a place with a large enough bay to get in for a much needed oil change. This place was great. Friendly, helpful, non-hard sell and made sure that things were done right. I know enough about engines to know if they were trying to fool me. I had an oil change, then asked about the transmission fluid as the mileage was about 3,000 miles past the time due, they asked about changing the differential fluid - again, I doubt it had ever been changed. I was going to do these transmission fluid and differential when I got home to Tennessee but felt these guys did a great job and the vehicle has been running better than before. Recently I had my hood on my vehicle would no longer stay in the up position, Precision Lube replaced the stabilizers and fixed that problem. Don't bother going here. At all. See review below. Update: Had to go back a total of four times for fixes. Day after last "fix" smoke coming off the engine. Took a video. "Probably" just excess oil from the oil change they gave me for "free" although it wasn't asked for. A misdiagnosed gasket had to be replaced. And a second O2 sensor misdiagnosed. Now I have a sweet rattle when I accelerate because they likely didn't tighten everything. Car seemed to not start right. Friday at work wouldn't when I went to leave. Still not working but probably a ground wire to the battery that easily came off. Took a pic of it. They changed the battery terminal cables.... I'm not even going to bother. My last three visits, my car(s) had immediate trouble that had not been a problem until I went in. All three times there was mysterious or suspicious power steering trouble. Kinda odd that the problems started all three times either before I got home form this shop or before I even got out of their shop. When I complained, I was always I had to see someone else and that person never seemed to be there. I can not prove they did anything to my cars, but three times can not be coincidence. read more

So, here's the situation: We are road tripping through Oregon and literally just finished the last thing that we were going to do before turning the old urban assault vehicle (UAV) towards California and home when the alternator belt gave a sudden death scream and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. A couple of quick calls later, we limped the UAV into the parking lot of DC Precision. Though it was about 2:30 in the afternoon and they were clearly busy, they agreed to take it. They diagnosed the problem (a broken belt tensioner), obtained the part, and installed the part and a new belt. At that point. they found a bracket had also broken, and (since that could not be sourced for at least a day or two) called a friend with the equipment and expertise to weld the bracket back together (they were upfront that this was a chewing gum and bailing wire fix, but an effective one) just to get us on the road, again. In all, they stayed about 2 hours (!) after closing time because they understood that my wife and 4 kids were in a huge bind and charged us exactly nothing extra, even though it was 100 degrees+, outside, and I would have happily paid extra just to get the UAV going, again, given the circumstances. They said they do this kind of thing a lot for passers-through and are actually open on Sundays. If ever again I am in need in the Roseburg area, I know exactly where I will go. I, without hesitation, dear readers, strongly recommend that you do likewise. read more

Very unhappy with paying $73.99 for an oil change. And that was with a $3.00 discount! They charged us for a 'Full Service Hi-Mileage' oil change at $49.99 AND for 8 quarts of oil at $27.00. What is the difference, then, between a basic oil change and this $49.99 oil change if they turn around and charge you for all the oil they put in? We won't be going back. read more

If I could give this business (if you can call it that) a 0star I would... Went in at 10 am to schedule an appointment to get my breaks replaced, was told to come back at noon. I came back at noon and basically sat around the mall parking lot for 3 and a half hours only to see my car hadn't been moved ( multiple cars had been serviced that didn't have an appointment ) highly recommend not using this place! 0/5 stars what a disgrace. read more
